"Alla är vi olika" : Fem personers upplevelser av en exkluderande specialpedagogisk undervisning

The study aims to examine how the people who have received special needs education during their schooling have experienced it.Since I wanted to take advantage of people's experiences of special needs education, I chose to conduct qualitative research interviews. Five people in the ages of 21-26 years old participated in the study.A summary of the work says that special needs education creates mixed feelings, feelings of joy and alienation. The positive as described in the work is that the special education teaching has created a classroom that is aligned along the pupil's needs and circumstances. All informants have expressed that their negative experiences is about them having to leave the common classroom.Keywords: exclusion, inclusion, special needs education, student needs.

"Att äga och inte ägas" : en intersektionell analys av hur muslimska kvinnor upplevelser sig representerade i svenska medier

With examples from a single classroom situation, several educational moments show what goes on between the teacher and the student. The teacher?s responsibility in the learning process is, with a gesture frozen in the air of the moment, to lead and follow the student in her tentative efforts at seeking knowledge. Initially, it is an attempt to shed light upon the "not yet seen" with a certainty that the student herself possesses the capacity and the aptitude to reach greater insight and clarity in her understanding. The Validation/Feil Method presented in this instructional situation illustrates how best to communicate with elderly people suffering from Alzheimer?s dementia.

 Title:              Not just words, classroom communication about subtraction in year 2Language:      Swedish with summary in English.Keywords:     Communication, mathematics, subtraction, teaching The purpose of this study is to analyze the mathematical communication in a classroom during a lesson in the field subtraction, and to find out how students describe their perception of mathematics that is communicated in the classroom.The study consists of the observations through the videotaping of two lessons in primary school grades 2 and student and teacher interviews related to these lecture occasions.Research indicates that Swedish pupils' mathematical skill continuously deteriorates in a national and international perspective, and that student experiences of mathematics in general are negative. The literature emphasizes the importance of communicating mathematics in various forms to deepen and develop understanding of concepts and mathematical operations. Communication must be generated between teachers and students but also between student and student to have a beneficial impact for the student.Our result demonstrate the different types of communication in the classroom but that communication does not always have a clear mathematical content in spite of teachers' mathematical intentions with teaching. The result also indicates that the mathematical communication that takes place, in essence, is a one-way communication where the teacher has a great opportunity to speak. The teachers perceived as oblivious to their own ways of communicating, but stressed in the interviews with an understanding of the importance of communication learning.

Jazzpiano: Improvisation utifrån musikaliska och kreativa parametrar

Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka hur min improvisation påverkades av olika förutbestämda parametrar och förutsättningar, både musikaliska och kreativa.Jag gjorde fem olika experiment där jag, genom att applicera olika parametrar på min improvisation, undersökte hur jag påverkades och vad som hände. Jag spelade även in referensimprovisationer för att ge en bild av hur jag improviserade vid tiden för examensarbetet. I improvisationsexperiment 1 undersökte jag sus2- och sus4ackord och kvartsackord/kvartsstaplingar. Improvisationsexperiment 2 bestod av att jag skulle improvisera horisontellt/visuellt över klaviaturen och alternera mina fraser uppifrån respektive nerifrån samt improvisera med korta/långa fraser och toner. Till mitt tredje experiment hade jag förutbestämda rytmer som jag skulle improvisera med.

Gör det själv!: Att ta sig an andra instrument för att bli en bättre trummis

Den här uppsatsen behandlar ett konstnärligt projekt där fem låtar inom rockgenren skrivits och spelats in av en och samma person. Syftet är att utvecklas på sitt huvudinstrument, i det här fallet trumset, genom att spela in låtarna och spela samtliga instrument själv. Undersökningen fokuserar på varför man kan ha nytta av att bemästra andra instrument för att bättre förstå sitt eget. Loggbok har förts under hela processen för att kunna kartlägga vad som lett fram till nya upptäckter och insikter.Många duktiga musiker har det gemensamt att de bemästrar fler än ett instrument. Att gå in i de andra ensemblemusikernas roller ger individen en bredare koll på helheten.

The purpose of this essay was to find the reasons why some students do not dare to participate verbally in the classroom. I also wanted to know how teachers are working to make it easier or students with communication apprehension. After that I put the teacher?s answers in contrast to the theory. I used qualitative interviews as the method.

Översättare eller särskiljare? -elevers syn på att ha elevassistent i grundskolan

In all times school has defined and categorized pupils from a hypothetical normality. The National Agency for Education is today critical to how the municipalities provide for the necessity of special support for pupils with difficulties in school.Pupil`s assistants has been a growing profession in school during the last decade and their importance for the pupils is relatively unexplored. The aim of this study is to find out how the pupils think about having pupil`s assistant during the obligatory school on the basis of the ideas of power, knowledge, involvment and understanding. The study is based on qualitative interviews, consisting of half-structured questions, with eight pupils that have or have had pupil`s assistant during their time in senior compulsory school. The result notifies that the pupils feel powerless in school, they have no opportunity to affect and they do not think they are someone that could make any change.

Ordning & Åtgärder : En undersökning av lärares arbete med att skapa ordning i klassrummet

In this essay the author has studied teachers work with order and measure in the classroom. The empirical survey method has been collected through interviews of focus groups from three different schools located in three different municipalities consisting nine participating teachers in total. The aim with the study is to understand the complexity of creating order in the classrooms by the existing means of control and finding an answer to teachers reasoning around the two articles ?We need to inform how the situation are in school when it is at its worst? and ?Stop defaming school?.The analysis is structured by my questions at issue which are;How does the teachers' work with the means of control which exists in the curriculum to maintain the order in the classroom; how does the teachers concure to the concept of order in relation to the media and the political statements that exists regarding the order issues at school; are there any alternative measures and methods to maintain the order in the classroom.The result shows a unanimous view about what order is among the teachers. Order is a necessity for the pupils to have a good studying climate.

Klassblogg : En studie av lärares användning av klassblogg i grundskolans tidigare år

The purpose of this study was to explore the use of a blog in the classroom. This paper describes why the teacher created the blog and how the blog is used by teachers and pupils in and outside the classroom. The study also describes teachers? thoughts regarding future use of the blog. Seven primary school teachers were interviewed and the material was analysed using a multimodal design theoretical perspective on learning (Selander & Kress 2010).The conclusion of the study was that the teachers created and designed blogs to give parents, pupils, relatives and others an opportunity to have an insight into the pupils? school day.

Gymnasielärares icke verbala kommunikation i klassrummet

This paper compares and discusses teachers´ nonverbal communication in the classroom. The purpose of the study is to find out what the teachers´ nonverbal communication looks like in the classroom and with that information increase teachers´ awareness of nonverbal communi-cation and its impact on the teaching. Ten teachers at the upper secondary school have been observed for twenty minutes when having a lecture. The result shows that the most common nonverbal expressions are hand and arm gestures used to enhance what is said by the teacher. The result also shows that the nonverbal communication is similar with all observed teachers.

Utomhuspedagogik : En studie om utomhuspedagogik i samspel med svenska

AbstractThis study deals with outdoor education together with Swedish language teaching. In my future profession as a teacher I want to be able to offer my pupils varied, discovering and exploring lessons focused on nature. The aim of this study is to throw light upon outdoor teaching, hoping that more people will discover nature as the right place to learn.In my study I have asked these questions:? What is outdoor education?? How can Swedish be taught out of doors?? Why is this method a good complement to the traditional teaching in the classroom?With these questions in wiev I made three qualitative interviews with teachers with different backgrounds. In addition I have planned, taught and evaluated the lesson that is the basis of the result.Outdoor education should be given increasing time in school and be used as a complement to the traditional teaching in the classroom.

Nya perspektiv på Olivier Messiaens begränsat transponerbara modus

Detta är en konstnärlig uppsats som är fokuserad på utveckling av mitt musikaliska språk. Mitt syfte är att undersöka användningsområden för de begränsat transponerbara modus som tecknades ner av den franska kompositören Olivier Messiaen. Detta är mina frågeställningar:Hur kan jag hitta metoder för att utforska Messiaens begränsat transponerbara modus?Hur kan jag applicera resultaten av utforskandet i mina improvisationer och i mitt komponerande?Jag har utifrån mitt eget undersökande av Messiaens modus arbetat fram ackordsserier som jag sedan utvecklat till modeller att använda i komposition och improvisation. Jag har även undersökt hur Messiaens modus, och därmed också de ackordsserier jag tagit fram, relaterar till mer ordinära tonaliteter.Resultatet är bland annat kompositioner som jag på ett eller annat sätt grundar på Messiaens modus.

Teaterämnets plats i det entreprenöriella lärandet: En litteraturstudie

Denna litteraturbaserade studie undersöker hur det entreprenöriella lärandet diskuteras i aktuell forskning samt hur det kan förstås i en teaterutbildningskontext. Kan teaterundervisningen främja elevernas entreprenöriella lärande? När den nya gymnasiereformen, GY11, lanserades fick landets skolor ett nytt uppdrag ? att eleverna ska utveckla entreprenöriella förmågor under sin studiegång. I samband med detta tillkom ett nytt pedagogiskt förhållningssätt: entreprenöriellt lärande.Studien visar att det finns en definitionsproblematik kring entreprenöriellt lärande. Analysen av litteraturen visar vidare att flera källor är överens om att kreativitet är en viktig byggsten för entreprenöriellt lärande.

Ledarskap i klassrummet : En kvalitativ undersökning om fem grundskolelärares uppfattningar om sitt ledarskap

The purpose of this study has been to investigate the views of five teachers on their own leadership, and on the way they make it work in the classroom. The method was a qualitative investigation consisting of separate interviews with five elementary school teachers from three different schools in the southern part of Stockholm. The results showed that a good pedagogic leadership, successful with the pupils, can be characterised as at the same time democratic and "situation adjustable". This includes the ability to formulate the rules of conduct clearly, to take decisions and to create a good working atmosphere in the classroom, so that the pupils can feel secure, and be able to learn and develop. That however, cannot be accomplished if the teacher only maintains a negative communication, reminding the pupils of what is forbidden.
