This paper is about the extent to which simplified penetration calculations ofsmall-caliber projectiles is a useful tool for assessing the physical protectioncapability. The work should be seen as an attempt to create an accessible tool inthe form of a simplified equation that allows for a better and safer use of thenaval vessels. The tool will also be used at different levels so that decisions andinstructions could be clearer.Performed calculations show a very limited capacity of a ship's basic design interms of physical protection against the use of small-caliber projectiles.How do we know that the calculations correct? The purpose of this study is to find out why the EU has not yet implemented the EuropeanCivil Peace Corps (ECPC), which the EU Parliament took a resolution about in 1999. Themore specific questions posed are whether the concept of ECPC has been redefined, whetherthe issue of ECPC has been prevented from coming up for discussion and decision-making,and what this has meant for the non-implementation. Steven Lukes' theory about the threedimensions of power is used in combination with a discourse analysis method. The materialused is documents from the EU Parliament's decisions and debate about ECPC, and ECPCfeasibility studies. In the analysis I find one "law and order"-discourse and one "peaceknowledge"-discourse.

Omkring 200 000 barn söker varje år vård på akutmottagningar i Sverige och cirka 95 000 barn per år är i behov av vård på sjukhus. I mötet sjukvården upplever de flesta barn rädsla och oro för sjukvårdsmiljön, sjuksköterskans mediciniska språk och beteende vilket kan förstärka smärtupplevelsen vid undersökning och behandling. En uppkommen sjukvårdsrädsla kan försvåra framtida sjukvårdskontakter och skapa otrygghet hos barn. Sjuksköterskans uppgift är att ge barnet en god omvårdnad och möjliggöra delaktighet för barnet och närstående för att dämpa rädsla och oro, något som regleras genom barnkonventionen och hälso- och sjukvårdslagen. Syfte: Att belysa vad som ger upphov till rädslor och oro hos barn i möten med sjukvården som patient. Metod: En litteraturöversikt med kvalitativ ansats.

Idag ges sällan denna möjlighet. Därför är det viktigt att belysa patienters upplevelser i samband med en operation för att kunna förbättra vårdkvalitén.

The question about shopping centres in the outskirts of cities is a regional issue, because they attract customers from a large area. Municipalities often find it hard to assert themselves against large commercial companies when it comes to their establishing new retail outlets on the outskirts of cities. Without a regional co-operation there is a risk that municipalities can be played up against one another, so that more and more companies are given permits without the municipalities having taken the strategic consideration necessary for a long term sustainable development. The focus in this work is on four municipalities in the Södertörn region (Södertälje, Botkyrka, Huddinge and Nynäshamn).

Resultat: Studien visar att det som mest har påverkat deltagarna vid val av hårskydd, är komforten och närheten till operationssåret.

The interaction between the nurse and the patient is characterized by experience and knowledge and at the same time the nurse is expected to act professionally. The purpose of this literature review is to investigate the nurse's complex of problems regarding the treatment of the HIV- positive patient by exploring the attitudes against HIV among nurses and how the nurse can maintain the integrity of the HIV- positive patient. Antonovsky's salutoqenic model, sense of coherence, has been used as theoretical frame. From 14 articles five topics have been found that influence the nurse's attitudes against HIV-positive patients.
