The main advantages they can see is that they are able to influence technical solutions and methods that will be used later on in the production. Therefore it is important to consider when construction workers should be involved in the planning process so that they get the chance to influence in this decisions.When it comes to the decision making the construction workers should be involved in the decisions that are related to their tasks in the production such as technical solutions, choice of methods and materials. Their main duties and working hours should be in the production.Involvement in planning does not automatically mean that the construction workers are involved in the decision making, it is up to them how much they participate.

The brown bear population in Alberta, Canada has been decreasing, while the Swedish has been increasing and all the affecting parameters are not known. This study examined the difference in these populations to see if an explanation could be found in differences between the forest management. The aim of the paper was to see if stand treatments had an influence of brown bears habitat selection in autumn in Sweden and how the results can be used in Alberta. This was done by analyzing bear positions in Sweden with forest data, and comparing forest management data for the study area in Sweden with forest management data for Alberta. The results displayed that mature forests over 60 years that have been commercially thinned are selected by bears rather than forests over 60 years that have not been commercially thinned in.

The ambition to involve younger people in future planning processes in order to get full participation of all groups in the society requires a deep and well-planned dialogue. Although, participation not always means inclusion. The purpose of this study was to analyze how the younger generation in the society is included in the future work. This is based on a case study of the developmental work in the municipality of Skellefteå.Questions that were answered were how the municipality has made the participation possible? To what extent has the younger generation been involved? How did this group experience their participation? The methodology consisted of mixed methods that include observations, surveys to the session leaders and to the participants in the dialogue and three interviews with two participants and one municipal civil servant.The result showed that the open information didn´t reach the younger generation to the open dialogues although the dialogue design gave good conditions for participation.

Work-Life Balance (WLB) is defined as the ability to manage both work-life and non-work life successfully. WLB can be evaluated by examining individual?s experience of Work-Family Conflict (WFC) and Family-Work Conflict (FWC), both of which can be assessed by a questionnaire developed by Netemeyer, Boles and McMurrian (1996). The aim of this study was to explore if responses to the questionnaire, the amount of time spent on studies, household chores and sick leave, were gender related or not, among civil-accountants students. The survey included 138 respondents (74 woman and 64 men).

The public sector is a major purchaser of goods and services. By setting requirements for environmental and social considerations in public procurement, an authority has the possibility to use consumer power to influence the actors in a market. The purpose of this paper is to investigate public procurement of textile products in a municipality, in order to gain knowledge about factors that may be important for the use of environmental and social criteria. Håkan Hydén´s (professor in sociology of law) norm model was used as the basis of the analysis, where the conduct was investigated along three dimensions of the norm ? willingness, knowledge and system conditions ? in order to identify underlying factors that can influence the process.The results ? analyzed by using interviews and documents ? show that the procurer's willingness, motivation and knowledge are important factors in this context, as well as the political priority of the municipality.

Introduction: The health for individuals with intellectual disabilities is asubject that is prioritized by the Swedish Institute for Public Health. Socialsupport has been proven to be important for health and quality of life. Despitethis fact there is no research available regarding the influence social support hason health and quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities in Sweden.Aim: To describe social support and the consequence of social support forhealth and quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Method:A litterature review of research in a defined area with a descriptive design.Systematic searches for articles were done in several databases and ultimately16 articles were chosen. Themes and categories were created with respect to theaim of this study during the analysis of the articles.

The aim with this master thesis is to analyze a scientific material concerning the context between learning and child/student development, and factors which controls process of learning, to create an image with quality account and teaching in mathematics, which then can raise the mathematical knowledge among students.The phenomena which stand in focus for the investigation is: why there is a negative tendency for development of knowledge in mathematics, among the Swedish students that TIMSSs investigations showed in intercultural comparison within the years 1993, 1999, 2003 and 2007.The method is the ethnographical method, which is based on: analyzing scientific theories about learning child/student development, factors which controls process of learning, and factors which controls process of learning the most and qualitative empiric investigation with qualitatively analyzes the questionnaires, which is about factors which are controlling the process of learning and factors which are controlling the process of learning the most.Result of the theoretical and empiric analyzes shows that factors as school environment, attitude for subjects and teaching, controls and influence the learning. To end a unenthusiastic tendency as a negative development of mathematical knowledge among students that is shown in TIMSS investigation and to elevate the students' performance in mathematics, an elevated qualitative account and teaching in mathematics, by the factors named. Safe school environments as the intercultural meeting place, the teachers influence part to the students' subjects' attitude in mathematics and goal related grading criteria in teaching, is all required for e qualitative teaching in mathematics..

Den här uppsatsen är en kritisk analys av King och hans ickevåldsideologi. Uppsatsens syfte och avgränsning är att granska och redogöra för den ideologi som King genom sina tal, predikningar och övriga skrifter redogjorde för. Metoden jag använt mig av är att systematisera Kings ideologi för att därefter analysera den. Efter en kritisk granskning av Kings ickevåldsideologi står det klart att den är koherent, men att hans argumentation emellanåt är bristfällig. I synnerhet brister King vid en rimlighetsprövning.

Försvarsmakten har sedan 1901 blivit försedd med soldater genom den allmänna värnplikten vilken nu avskaffats. Syftet med studien är att utifrån läsningen av ett antal offentliga dokument analysera den förändringsprocess som försvarsmakten befinner sig i vad gäller personalförsörjningen i övergången från ett allmänt till ett frivilligt försvar. De frågeställningar som utformats är: hur har Försvarsmaktens personalförsörjning sett ut tidigare? och hur anser de statliga offentliga dokumenten att Försvarsmakten kan arbeta för att försörja sig med den personal på frivillig grund som tidigare rekryterades genom lagen om totalförsvarsplikt? Metoden som används är att utifrån en hermeneutisk ansats göra en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av två statliga offentliga utredningar och en proposition.Resultatet visar att Försvarsmakten föreslås genomföra specifika förändringar för att i framtiden trygga sin personalförsörjning. Dessa förändringar gäller en frivillig grundutbildning, en målgruppsanpassad marknadsföring, införande av ett HR-centrum, förmånliga anställningsformer och en hjälp till vidare civil karriär.

Den liberala demokratin, till vilken västvärldens politiska system bekänner sig, bygger i grunden på tanken att alla människor har naturliga rättigheter till liv, frihet och egendom. På grund av otryggheten i ett anarkistiskt naturtillstånd, kommer människor att sluta sig samman i stater, där de går med på att inskränka en del av sin frihet och överlåta makt till staten, på villkor att staten garanterar sina medborgare skydd för de naturliga rättigheterna. Så länge staten klarar av dessa uppgifter förbinder sig medborgarna att lyda staten, vars grund således, enligt denna teori, vilar på ett fiktivt samhällskontrakt. Inom ramen för detta samhällskontrakt har medborgare rätt att protestera för att nå förändring, så länge protesterna inte hotar samhällets fortsatta existens. Exempel på sådana legitima former av protester är (lagliga) demonstrationer, namninsamlingar samt olika former av civil olydnad som har gemensamt att aktörerna som deltar vill påverka inom ramen för samhällssystemet och därför står för sina handlingar samt är beredda att, om så är nödvändigt, låta rättssystemet ha sin gång.

Background: Energy drinks have been found in everyday-stores since 1997 and their popularity have increased over time. Consumtion of energy drinks takes place because of their ability to increase concentration and to decrease fatigue but also because of the popularity the drinks have got. Target groups for these stimulating beverages are adolescents and young adults. Energy drinks contain caffeine, taurine, glucuronolacton, carbohydrates and B-vitamins and voices have been raised about the eligibility for young people to ingest large quantities of these kinds of substances. Because of the properties of these substances it has become popular to mix energy drinks and alcoholic beverages to make up for the negative effects of alcohol and to be able to drink larger quantaties.Aim: The aim of this literature work was to investigate cognitive effects of the combination of caffeine in terms of energy drinks and alcohol and to determine if these effects could be harmful.Method: This literature work is based on five scientific articles retrieved from PubMed.

I etniska konflikter utsätts ofta barn för våld. Våld mot civila, som främst inkluderar kvinnor och barn, kan diskuteras utifrån skapandet av "vi och dem" känslor. I dessa krig har gränsen mellan civil och militär suddats ut vilket leder till att hela "det andra" kollektivet upplevs som en fiende vilket åtföljs av att barn tillhörande etniska minoriteter blir mer utsatta.Eftersom det saknas teorier om våld mot barn i konflikter har vi valt att utgå ifrån feministiska teorier som behandlar förståelsen för nationsbyggande. Med utgångspunkt i dessa försöker vi analysera hur man teoretiskt kan förstå det våld barn utsätts för i konflikten i Darfur. Denna diskussion är viktig då våld mot barn i konflikter tidigare inte varit föremål för vetenskaplig forskning.

De grundläggande förutsättningarna för ingående av äktenskap enligt svensk rätt är frivillighet. Kärlek är anledningen till att folk väljer att ingå äktenskap, ändå ser man klart och tydligt i statistiken nedanför att det är långt ifrån alla som känner att de får välja livspartner.Den 1 juli 2014 började nya civil- och straffrättsliga bestämmelser att gälla om vissa äktenskapsfrågor. Dessa bestämmelser syftar till att stärka skyddet mot barn- och tvångsäktenskap, där två nya brott infördes i brottsbalken. Dessa brott har brottsrubriceringen äktenskapstvång och vilseledande till tvångsäktenskapsresa. Brottsrubriceringen äktenskapstvång avser den som genom olaga tvång eller utnyttjande av utsatta omständigheter lyckas få en person att ingå ett äktenskap eller en äktenskapsliknande överenskommelse.

Syftet med denna studie är att få en inblick i gymnasieungdomars upplevda engagemang i samhällsfrågor och hurdetta engagemang kan komma till uttryck. Det empiriska materialet i studien är baserat på kvalitativa intervjuer med13 gymnasieelever. Som bakgrund till ämnet presenterar jag; vad de nationella styrdokumenten säger omsamhällsfrågor, en liten fördjupning om sociala rörelser samt aktuell forskning gällande ungdomars intresse församhällsfrågor och politik. Resultatet av min undersökning visar på ett svagt intresse för samhällsfrågor blandeleverna i stort men att miljöfrågor tycks ha en särställning vad gäller ungdomarnas intresse. Att rösta menade enmajoritet av respondenterna var en självklarhet medan partipolitik eller andra handlingar utav politisk karaktär ejansågs vara så viktiga för dem.

The pupose of this study is to qualitatively study how teachers at a high school work with the schools demokratic mission under the management by objectives and what the policy document says and how the students can partcipate in different issues. My question fomulations are: What does it say in the governing documents about schools democratic mission and student influence? How do teachers concretely work to implement the values of democracy and student influence? How can the class councils used as part of the school's democratic mission? The theoretical frame of the study is about the school democracy mission and the possibilities and limits.  Futhermore a brief review of the fundamental values of the school are presented, followed by how the democratic process works.I used the qualitative analysis in order to find a lot of information about a small amount. Its strength is to convey a lot of information about a small number of observations and if the material is small in size.
