Partnerskap - en snäv syn på samverkan En studie av lokalt integrationsarbete i Malmö
This essay revolves around partnerships established between local authorities and civil society to promote integration in segregated urban areas. The main focus is on who is active in formulating the local integration policy in these partnerships. The analysis is based on qualitative interviews with representatives from the local public administration and from different parts of civil society in Rosengård and Södra innerstaden in Malmö. The conclusion is that local authorities to a large extent decide the content of integration policy. The authorities, in having the major responsibility of the integration projects, decide what parts of civil society to involve and what projects will promote integration.
Religion i historieböckerna, utmaningar och möjligheter : En didaktisk analys av läromedel i historia
Swedish students in the upper secondary school will recieve informaition regarding religion from multiple sources. If we look past the students surroundings like the family, friends or multimedia school is still the primary arena for religous education. Discussions about religion will take place in other lessons than just the subject religion. History is in my opinion the subject closest related to religion and the two makes up for a lot of the values work in swedish schools. Textbooks is still one of the most important tools for education and that makes them important as objects to study.
Södra Thailand: Civila samhället - roten till våldet?
Using Varshney's theory about intra- and interethnic networks, this thesis examines how civil society in southern Thailand is built up.During 2004 the violence between Muslims and Buddhists rose in southern Thailand. The government tried to fight the insurgency using violent police and military forces, resulting in hundreds of deaths and part of reason why Thailand is loosing rank in Freedom House's democracy index. Varshney means that a civil society built up on intraethnic networks works favourable to violence between different ethnic groups. Sorting out and defining what is meant by ?ethnic? and ?civil society?, this thesis shows why to look at the insurgency in southern Thailand as an ethnic conflict surviving partly because of an intraethnic civil society.

The following essay aims to determine what textbooks and teaching media educators in the county of Västerbotten use when teaching the relation between religion and science. Based on educational science theory and through analyzes of factual texts, the teaching materials was examined to determine how much focus they put on the thematic of religion and science. The result shows how the different teaching materials affect this thematic differently. The main conclusion is therefore that students in Sweden could, depending on the teaching materials used in their education, be taught by different standards to reach the same requirements..
Läraren och tjänstemannauppdraget : En studie om lärarstudenters syn på sina framtida tjänstemannauppdrag
The aim of this essay is to examine how future upper secondary school teachers within social science comprehends their future proffessional role. The aim is also to see whether the education is of importance to their suspension for their future professional role. Focus will especially be on the teachers civil servant role, where the aim is to see how their identification suspends to the governmental expectations on their future civil servant misson. The essay is based on a qualitative method, which is focused conversational interviews.The result indicates that future upper secondary school teachers within social science, who are about to finish their education, have a somewhat deeper sense of identification with the teachers civil servant mission compared to those in the beginning of their education. The result also indicates that the future upper secondary school teachers identification are in line with the governmental expectations on their civil servant mission.
Vägprojektering med Novapoint och AutoCAD Civil 3D
Denna rapport redovisar mitt examensarbete som gick ut på att jämföra två konkurrerande programvaror som används av vägprojektörer. De två jämförda är Novapoint Väg Prof och AutoCAD Civil 3D. Detta gjordes genom att projekteringen av ett av Tyréns avslutade uppdrag återskapades. På så sätt kunde deras funktioner utforskas och jämföras. Båda visade sig ha många likheter men även en hel del olikheter, t ex var Novapoint mer användbart vid projektering på obebyggdmark.

The current trend towards globalisation and democratisation has made the theories of politics in pluralistic societies, and how to make them work, of particular interest and concern. Lijphart's theory of consociational democracy is an important influence in this field. At the same time the importance of civil society in transition studies and democratisation processes has been reinforced over the last thirty years. However, the complex political situation that plural societies face, creates obstacles for a healthy civil society. This thesis is based on a case study of Lebanon, a country with deep ethnic divisions and a government that resembles a consociational democracy.

Since 2007 the American sitcom the Big Bang Theory has spread throughout the world. With its twenty million watchers it is one of the most popular sitcoms of our time. The starting point for this essay is that the humourus series with the more or less geeky main characters is more than just entertainment - it is a part of the mediatization of religion. This means that media is affecting the recipients? view on religion in general and the personal religion.

Utbildningsdepartementet la år 2000 fram ett förslag om ett nytt kärnämne i den svenska gymnasieskolan. I detta ämne ska religion, samhälle och delvis historia ingå. Skulle detta förslag gå igenom så skulle det påverka både elever och lärare. Hur skulle det påverka ämnet religion? I dagens kursplan för religion belyser man vikten av etik och moral, förståelse och respekt för andra människor.

This study aims at using discourse analysis to analyze SFI students attitudes to religion and religiosity in an SFI-context. The questions are: How is the discourse constructed and maintained by religion and religiosity of SFI students in an SFI context? How do SFI participants experience that their religion has affected their time at SFI?Using a case study approach, interviews were conducted with a group of SFI students. The results show that the religious discourse in SFI is influenced by the SFI-context and affected based on the current education discourse that exists there. Furthermore, the discourse is designed and maintained by the participants private religious beliefs and the religion of the majority of the group, One canhere speak of a strong social unit forming a plausibility structure The power structure that emerges is that the majority has the power to define the significance of religion and place within the SFI context. In the SFI-context the participants view is that religion is something private that should not be expressed in the school environment.
Religion + Idrott = Sant?
Syftet med vår studie har varit att undersöka idrottslärares inställningar till, och uppfattningar om, situationer som kan uppstå i mötet mellan religion och idrottsundervisning. För att komma åt vårt syfte samt skapa oss en bild av verkligheten använde vi oss av en kvalitativ metod i form av intervjuer med idrottslärare. Intervjuerna har sedan analyserats och på så vis har vi fått fram det vi anser vara lärarnas uppfattningar och inställningar inom vårt område. Resultatet visade att lärarna inte anser att religion påverkar idrottsundervisningen nämnvärt även om deltagandet till viss del tycks påverkas. Religionskunskapslärares utsagor om undervisning av Sveriges förkristna religioner : - en studie av religionskunskapslärares utsagor om fornskandinavisk religion och samisk religion inom Religionskunskap A
Sammanfattning:I studien intervjuas sju religionskunskapslärare angående undervisning om fornskandinavisk religion och samisk religion. Studiens utgångspunkt är att fornskandinavisk religion och samisk religion kan ses som en del av Sveriges kulturarv. Informanternas utsagor studeras utifrån didaktikens tre översiktliga frågor: undervisningens vad?, hur? och varför? Deras utsagor diskuteras även mot tidigare läromedelsforskning som anknyter till pedagogiska texters framställande av fornskandinavisk religion och samisk religion. Sammantaget diskuteras informanternas utsagor mot utmålad fond.Studien visar att undervisning om religionerna anknyter till både gällande och annalkande nya styrdokuments yttranden om kulturell mångfald och identitet.
Bön och upplåtenhet : En religionsfenomenologisk undersökning
Religious phenomena, such as prayer, have more or less always interested and engaged people, but most likely for different purposes. Since the early 20th century, starting notably with Edmund Husserl and especially Martin Heidegger, phenomenologists have taken an interest in understanding and expounding the meaning of religious phenomena. The attention of such a discourse have not ceased but is rather current, and also of importance seeing that religious themes, such as prayer, still occupy a great extent of human life and practice.Phenomenology of religion is not a science of religion: the former approaches religion in terms of its meaningfulness, whereas the latter as an object of inquiry and in the same manner as an economist approaches economical indicators in order to understand and explain how the whole economy functions. In other words, phenomenology of religion expounds religion, as it were, from within, while science of religion does it from without or externally.When approaching prayer phenomenologically, it shows itself to be a process or structure through which the one praying empty himself in order to be able to receive the valuable presence of the other.
