Förändringar i representationen av maskulinitet diskuteras i olika sammanhang och en specifik drama/komediserie, Entourage, har på sistone utmärkt sig som ett nytt sätt att gestalta maskulinitet på. Den har beskrivits som en manlig motsvarighet till Sex and the city.Syfte: Mitt syfte med denna studie är att studera hur representationen av maskulinitet ser ut i denna specifika TV-serie, samt uttala mig om vad detta säger om den förändrade bilden av maskulinitet i vår tid.Metod: Jag har gjort en kvalitativ textanalys av Entourage med grunder i hermeneutiken och har studerat såväl innehållsmässiga teman i serien som genrekonventioner och tilltal. Jag har som jämförelse när jag ansett det givande även reflekterat kring TV-serien Sex and the city.Slutsatser:1.

This is a report of our examination project in electronics carried out for Bofors Test Center in Karlskoga. The task was to construct an electronic devise for starting up different kinds of measuring systems in exact time during test sequences. The modules that are used today are old and unreliable. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how investments are justified in the Swedish data center industry, with a focus on cooling equipment. This is achieved through semi-structured interviews with 20 different interviewees. These interviewees represent different facets of the industry and facilitate an understanding of which factors, such as: investment costs, operating costs, reliability, environmental impact and the influence of external and internal actors, come into play and to which degree they impact the investment decision-making process. The results show that primarily low operating cost in the form of low energy consumption is the driving factor when it comes to the procurement of new equipment. A lower environmental impact is a positive side-effect of lower energy consumption.

This is a Minor field study addressing the current situation in Vientiane, Laos where focus lies on the green structures past, present and future. The city of Vientiane is growing rapidly and as a result of this there is a increasing development. The once peaceful capital known for it?s lush and green environment is standing in a crossroad where important decision must be made to preserve valuable areas. Dock finns det vissa problem med dessa, ofta webbaserade system, de har inte en tillfred- ställande grad av användbarhet respektive handlingsbarhet. Syftet med vår undersökning var att beskriva vilka aspekter av de olika perspek- tiven, användbarhet samt handlingsbarhet, som kan anses vara mer betydande än andra att ta hänsyn till vid utveckling av elektroniska B2B marknadsplatser. Användbarhet är ett perspektiv som behandlar aspekter som att systemet skall vara lätt att använda, lätt att lära, subjektivt tilltalande osv.

This study is an investigation of newly arrived young Iraqis and their view on obstacles and opportunities available in a secondary school in Södertälje City. This is also a comparative study between the newly arrived Iraqis schooling in Iraq and in Sweden. We have used theoretical concepts such as culture, ethnicity, refugee, intercultural education, socialization and PTSD. These have helped us to provide distinct guidelines when we analyze newly arrived young Iraqis in Södertälje City. Our approach has been based on qualitative interviews with both students and teachers.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how city librariesmaintain the intellectual freedom in their Internet service. Thediscussion about Internet filters has been quiet in Sweden forseveral years, so I wanted to see if there had been an increased useof filters. I also wanted to see if the city libraries regulated theInternet service in another way. I sent a survey to 100 libraries andgot answer from 83. To explain what intellectual freedom is, I usedStuart Hamilton?s theory about intellectual freedom in the librarycontext.

The competition for the beach promenade in Helsingborg was announced in 2001 and was arranged by the city of Helsingborg. My contribution to the competition represents the main part of my thesis in the Landscape Architecture Programme. The competition entry is based on the concept of crossing screens of vertical elements which connect the pattern and structure of the city to the beach and the water. The different materials and designs of the screens relate to the various characters of the different parts of the area and they form a sequence and uniting theme along the beach. In addition to the competition entry which was made in 2001, the thesis contains a second part, made in the spring of 2006. It consists of an Introduction with the competition programme and a description of the starting points, a part called Method where the process is described, and the Conclusion with reflections on the competition entry and the process where I also introduce and comment on some other projects which in different ways have are connected to my concept. .

This paper aims to investigate how Helsingborg?s city library?s visi-tors feel about computer games being available for lending and in which way computer gamers see Helsingborg?s city library as a resource. This was examined first with a study of 100 of the library?s visitors and then with five interviews with computer gamers and an interview with the librarian responsible for purchasing games.The study showed that most visitors were neutral to having games at the library and of the ones that were not neutral many more were positive than negative. Of the five gamers who were inter-viewed, there were several who had borrowed games in the past.

Vi har i vårt arbete undersökt ett ideellt projekt, New City i Malmö - ett utvecklingspartnerskap som arbetar för att underlätta för ungdomars etablering på arbetsmarknaden. Grunden till dess tillkomst ligger i en statlig utredning, som belyser en kategori unga utanför med svårigheter att få sina behov tillgodosedda i myndighetskontakter och genom ordinarie arbetsmarknadspolitiska åtgärder. Förslag ges i utredningen till en försöksverksamhet med s.k. navigatorcentra, som New City, som söker upp ungdomarna och ger dem stöd utifrån ett helhetsperspektiv på deras situationer. Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka vilka metoder som används inom projektet, jämfört med i kommunala arbetsmarknadsåtgärder för ungdomar.

?The trees importance to the street? discusses just that, the trees importance to the street. The purpose of this paper has been to examine what influence the trees have on streets. By writing about good examples of how trees can add good qualities to a street I wish to inspire to more use of trees in future city-planning. I have examined three streets in Malmö and three streets in Berlin and analyzed the trees influences there through the help of literature by three authors: Great Streets (1993) and The Boulevard Book (2002) by Allan B. Jacobs, Trees in Urban Design (1993) by Henry F.

This report consists of two parts, out of which the first deals with the planning and designing ofa small house in the Swedish city of Huddinge, using the weather conditions of the Swedish cityof Malmö. The house has to be in accordance with the Swedish building- and constructionregulations, as well as with the limitations in energy consumption given.The house itself has to consist of at least two bedrooms, and blueprints of the house, variousconstructional elements, ventilation, sanitation and electricity have to be drawn. Calculations ofthese aspects also have to be made, to ascertain that the different parts function as they should,and that the dimensions are sufficient.The second part is called ?Allergy free home?, and investigates how indoor climate affects us,and whether it has changed during the last few decades. It also makes an effort to see whetherthe increase of allergies and asthma is correlated with possible changes in indoor climate, andwhether technical solutions might help to handle or even decrease the issues arisen.

Grafiska profiler har ofta liknande innehåll men ser självklart olika ut för olika verksamheter och varumärken. En cityförening är ett samarbete mellan flera olika aktörer som vill kommunicera med sina målgrupper och samtidigt förmedla det som föreningen tillsammans står för. Studiens syfte är att ta reda på vad som bör ingå i en grafisk profil för en cityförening och vilka speciella faktorer som finns vid framtagandet av cityföreningars grafiska profiler. För att påvisa möjligheterna till applicering i det som undersökts, används Mjölby City som exempelfall och studien ska generera riktlinjer för Mjölby Citys grafiska profil. För att svara på studiens frågeställningar har en kvalitativ metod används i form av kvalitativa intervjuer och en fokusgrupp i form av en workshop. Intervjuerna har legat till stor vikt vid undersökningen av de speciella faktorerna, då intervjuer har gjorts med företagsrepresentanter som har skapat eller bearbetat grafiska profiler för cityföreningar.
