Stockholms stad har i vision city ett antal konkreta utvecklingsmål för stadens utveckling fram till 2030. Bland annat betonas vikten av en större funktionsblandning, fler verksamheter med längre öppettider och en större mängd nattbefolkning i city. Som ett steg i vision citys riktning omvandlas inom kort Swedbanks huvudkontor på Brunkebergstorg till hotell, samtidigt som en renovering av Brunkebergstorg är aktuell.Uppsatsens syfte är att söka svar på hur Stockholms stad genom fysisk planering kan öka antalet besökare över hela dygnet på Brunkebergstorg och därmed öka nattbefolkningen i Stockholms city. Tillvägagångssättet utmärks till största del av litteraturstudier av forskningslitteratur inom stadsplanering, stadsliv och stadshistoria samt intervjuer och en platsanalys av Brunkebergstorg. Resultatet av litteraturstudierna presenteras som strategier vilka kan användas inom stadsplanering för att skapa ett befolkat offentligt rum.

Många företag idag implementerar fortfarande system som inte stödjer verksamheten i tillräcklig omfattning. Det verkar som om det saknas tillräcklig förståelse för det arbete som ska utföras med stöd av IT-systemen vilket kan bero på bristfällig kravinsamling. Därför har denna undersökning genomförts med två huvudsakliga syften:Att bedriva kravinsamling inför ett labbdatasystemAtt utvärdera de valda teknikerna för kravinsamlingen Kravinsamlingen har genomförts på Expancel Produktkontroll, som är laboratoriet för kvalitetskontroll på Expancel, en kemisk tillverkningsindustri i Sundsvall.De tekniker för kravinsamling som var mest intressanta i denna undersökning var sådana som anses ska skapa större förståelse för verksamheten genom att kravinsamlaren medverkar mer aktivt i verksamheten, här kallad kravinsamling genom ?omvänd användarmedverkan?. De tekniker som användes var deltagande observation och kontextuella intervjuer.

Syftet med vårt examensarbete är att försöka hitta möjligheter till att förbättra och förnya specifikt kvarteret Romalyckan på Teleborg i Växjö. Vi har tittat på möjligheter för nybyggnation i kvarteret, ombyggnation med syfte att energieffektivisera bostadshusen, ökad trivsel och säkerhet runt parkeringsområdet samt påbyggnad av en extra våning i ett av bostadshusen. Flerbostadshusen på Romalyckan är byggda under miljonprogramåren och därför har vi valt att koncentrera oss på denna typ av flerbostadshus, som är byggda med två till fyra våningar och saknar hiss. Vi har skapat en övergripande och generell mall som skall kunna användas på liknande bostadsområden av fastighetsförvaltare runt om i landet. Mallen ska vara användbar för att kunna dra rätt slutsats angående ett hus påbyggnadsmöjligheter med en eller flera extra våningar.

The purpose of this survey was to map out the health pf some of the 11 and 12 years old children in the city of Umeå, as well as to find out what factors intend to influense the children´s health. A questionnaire was distributed in four 6th grade classes whitin the municipality of Umeå. Two of the schools were located in the city while two were located in near villages. This selection was decided in order to map out diffrences in health related to the children´s home environment. 80 pupils took part of this study.

This study is an investigation of newly arrived young Iraqis and their view on obstacles and opportunities available in a secondary school in Södertälje City. This is also a comparative study between the newly arrived Iraqis schooling in Iraq and in Sweden. We have used theoretical concepts such as culture, ethnicity, refugee, intercultural education, socialization and PTSD. These have helped us to provide distinct guidelines when we analyze newly arrived young Iraqis in Södertälje City. Our approach has been based on qualitative interviews with both students and teachers.

Many people choose to live in urban environments. Since everyday life in many cities is characterized by a high pace it is important that good recreational areas, with the possibility of recovery, are available to the population.This paper is based on a case study of Växjö city park, which is the area surrounding the lake Växjösjön. The park and the lake are of great importance to the citizens. The lake Växjösjön has for a long time been affected by eutrophication, which has caused major problems as algal blooms and fish mortality. An extensive lake restoration was carried out in the 1990s in order to save the lake.

Free play is a term that often common in educational activities. The definition of the term is difficult, but it is about the children themselves decides the scope, content and process in their play. On an after-school, this may mean that it is the children are given the opportunity to freely choose their own activity in the leisure constraints. Free play can be an alternative to other, more controlled activities where adults control framework. The purpose of this study is to investigate the variations in how some children perceive and experience the phenomenon of free play in the after-school and how the children perceive the teacher´s role in the free game.

This is a final thesis for the Master?s Programme in Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Landscape Planning, Horticulture and Agricultural Science. The subject of the thesis is the outdoor environment of children in Hebron.The thesis aim is to investigate children?s basic needs and desires in their outdoor environment, and how these can be met in the design of a site in Hebron. A starting point for thesis is that children?s environments in the city should not be separated from city life in general, so that children and adults can meet in the city outdoor environment.The ongoing political conflict between Israel and Palestine is presented in the thesis by describing its consequences for the city of Hebron and the lives of its residents, with a particular focus on the everyday lives of Hebron children.

Attacken den 11 september 2001 mot USA och World Trade Center blev händelsen som startade hela världens krig mot terrorism. I och med detta har flertalet terrornätverk dykt upp och terrorismen har lämnat få människor opåverkade.Detta arbete syftar till att analysera hur attacken på World Trade Center påverkade händelseförloppet i USA och den militära insatsen. Genom att använda John Wardens teori om luftrumskontroll kommer en jämförande studie mellan hur luftstridskrafterna användes under konflikten i Kosovo år 1999 och under den i Afghanistan för att förklara likheter och skillnader.Studien utgår från en kvalitativ dataanalys av rapporter skrivna i direkt närhet till respektive konflikt.Undersökningens resultat visar på ett väl organiserat och standardiserat sätt att utföra luftstrid på. En tydlighet i taktiken där fokus genomgående, i respektive konflikt, läggs på samma sorts mål. Men även tydliga skillnader mellan konflikterna går att särskåda men det påpekas dock att en direkt kausalitet mellan dessa skillnader och attacken är svår att peka ut.Slutligen förs en diskussion kring hur attacken kan ha påverkat den insats som gjordes i Afghanistan genom en jämförelse mellan båda konflikterna.

Cloud computing eller molntjänster syftar till såväl mjukvara och dessplattform som en tjänst som erbjuds via Internet samt tillinfrastrukturen som tillhandla håller dessa tjänster. Det finns mycketsom talar för en övergång från egen drift till molntjänster mensamtidigt finns det många olika risker i samband med övergången. Enförstudie visar på ett antal aspekter som är sorterade efter treövergipande områden. Här kategoriserade inom områdena teknik,ekonomi och organisation. Utifrån dessa aspekter har det gjorts enlitteraturgenomgång som visar på ett antal underligganderiskområden.

In theory, the management control of maintenance functions is described as problematic due to the nature of the work performed in the unit. The purpose of this thesis is to examine these predicted problems in practice. Further,the thesis aims at identifying how these control problems may affect the relationships between the maintenance department and its internal customers. A case study has been conducted in one of Sweden?s largest industrial companies to investigate the said control problems in practice.

The purpose of this paper has been to shed light on the ways the history represented at the City Museum of Stockholm can be used in education at the Gymnasia level. I have made use of the following set of questions to attain this purpose: 1) How is the City Museum's activity vis-á-vis the gymnasia organized and what is the purpose of this activity? 2) What positive results do the interviewees see in the collaboration between the schools and the Museum? 3) Why did the teachers represented in this paper choose to make use of the Museum in their education? The bulk of the study is based upon three interviews with the First Curator at the City Museum of Stockholm and two teachers, from Viola Gymnasiet and Skogsgårds Gymnasiet respectively. My method is qualitative and interpretative with hermeneutic features.In my interpretation of the source material I have made use of historian Klas-Göran Karlsson's classifications regarding the needs for various forms of history, use of history, users and functions of results. In this way I have been able to establish how the Museum and the teachers represented in the study make use of the history that is represented at the Museum.

Syftet med det här examensarbetet är att genom intervjuer försöka ta reda på hur man som lärare kan utforma det bästa utvecklingssamtalet för alla parter i verksamheten förskoleklass. Vi har tittat på viktiga punkter att ha med, vart fokus ligger samt vilka hinder och dilemman som kan uppstå. Vi har genomfört tio kvalitativt semistrukturerade intervjuer med utbildade förskollärare i fyra olika förskoleklasser. Resultatet har visat att viktiga punkter och det man fokuserar på är hur barnet trivs, om den är trygg och hur det sociala kring barnet ser ut samt att man framåt våren även fokuserar på barnets språkutveckling samt dess matematiska kunskaper. Dilemman och hinder som uppstår har visat sig vara allt från vårdnadshavarnas inställning till lärarens inställning i olika avseenden.

Due to an increased population in cities the need of densification of cities increases. This means that the amount of ecological elements in the city is at risk of decreasing. Ecological services contribute to the city?s climate by softening the negative impacts that densification of cities means. Thus increases the will and ambition in city planning in to preserve greenery.This is an interdisciplinary thesis within the subject of geography that studies Biotope Area Factor (BAF), a planning tool that is used in city planning with the purpose of compensating for lost ecological services associated with new housing estate.

New production is not the only thing that is important for the city?s growth. It is also crucial to recover existing buildings in order to create attractive areas. There is a school in Va?stera?s city called Wenstro?mska skolan which consists of six high schools that provide different professional specializations and which has an area of about 35000 square meters.
