The rates for teenage conception and motherhood in the UK are according to recent research, the highest in Wester Europe. The ongoing debate concerning these teenage pregnancies and teenage motherhood has therefore become political in a wide range. The government?s goal is to reduce the number of teenage pregnancies until the end of 2010 to prevent social exclusion among vulnerable young women. However, there is controversy in other research that describes teenage pregnancies more likely to be a result of social exclusion than its cause.The purpose of this study is to examine how young mothers in a borough of London, from their own point of view, experience their situation, their difficulties and possibilities in present and in future.

Christendom has under a long period of time in Swedish history been the central component in legitimating the monarchs' power, a continuous process than can be clearly observed through the customs of royal coronation and baptism rites. However, during the 20th century those close ties between the state and the church of Sweden have been dissolving at a steady rate, alongside a growing societal democratization and modernization process. Officially the monarch still had a clear constitutional power legitimated through the transcendent, but unofficially his power was in reality heavily reduced. How do the Swedish monarchy relate to a rapidly changing society and secularization process? This pilot study investigates this relation by analyzing the news reports of the royal coronation and baptism rites between 1858 and 2012 from two leading newspapers, Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter.

The population growth in Europe and with that in Sweden was enormous under 18th century. The results became housing shortage in large part of Europe. Tight residency/ inhabited, poverty and emigration were series of social questions in Sweden. Private house (egnahem) as in the beginning was an idea from England and Germany became a political measure and the answer at those miserable social circumstances in Sweden. The purpose with the private house (egnahem) was to help those new people moved in to towns with place to live and counteract movers to towns and emigration. With the governmental loan and land availability that some municipalities and wealthy people contributed with, could people get a place to live with the small garden. The city garden (trädgårdstaden) with their future idealistic idea/utopia, English gardens, ideas with roots in the old-fashioned gardens (allmogeträdgårdar) and lots of books and periodicals were the source of inspirations. From these the private house gardens (egnahemsträdgårdar) were born. Object for my study is my and my family?s own house in Limhamn, south west of Malmö which was built in 1912 under private house gardens era. The garden and the building have still trace and element from the time of private house. My suggestion is inspired by the private home style with a new thinking design that answers to daily need and the busy life style; a rather easy to maintain for green environment. A more relaxing and peaceful garden with simple design, a garden despite that it is surrounded by neighbours and streets invites in harmony and dreams..

Det här arbetet börjar med en introduktion till systemutveckling och ger exempel på ett par olika tillvägagångssätt som används i Skandinavien och England. I introduktionen presenteras också problem som har funnits och kanske finns fortfarande i systemutvecklingsbranschen. Vidare belyses också hur viktig kommunikationen är mellan användare och utvecklare genom hela utvecklingsarbetet. I de tidiga faserna av systemutveckling finner man kravhantering och den introduceras kort i slutet på introduktionen för att sedan presenteras i fullo i bakgrundskapitlet. I början på bakgrundskapitlet ges ett exempel på hur en fullständig utvecklingsmodell kan vara uppbyggd och efter det tas kravhanteringens alla delar upp för att sedan avslutas i hur kravvalideringen fungerar och används.

The main purpose of this essay was to understand and discuss the problems the Swedishmunicipalities have when missing the profession in cultural preservation area. I have madetwo case studies where competence has been present in one and absent in the other. FurtherI intend to find out what material the Swedish municipalities needs in their work with theconservation of built environment.The first case describes Vallentunas main intersection and the adjustments needed toseparate it from the local rail road. It identifies what the municipality deems importantsuch as sight lines and access to the old church area. The ability to illuminate these itemshad not been possible without the knowledge and early participation of an expert in thefield of cultural resource management.The second case revolves around an old croft in Österåker that was subject for a plannedresidential area.

Byggbranschen har de senaste åren fått utstå en hel del kritik. Kritiken riktas främst mot höga byggkostnader, dåligt utnyttjande av projekttiden och bristande kommunikation mellan beställare och entreprenör. Från USA via England och Danmark har samarbetsformen partnering dragit in över Sverige. Tanken är att man med öppna böcker, teambuilding och gemensamma mål ska kunna komma tillrätta med de problem som funnits i byggbranschen de senaste åren.Efter att under några år ha arbetat med partneringprojekt vill Åhlin & Ekeroth nu utvärdera partnering som samarbetsform. I ett intervjubaserat examensarbete har några av de partneringprojekt som Åhlin & Ekeroth är involverade i utvärderats.

Historically Sweden had a confessional teaching of religion in school, that is the starting point ofthis essay. In the Swedish school system the students have the right to believe whatever they wantbut they will be introduced to different beliefs in the subject religion. Even the church focuses onthe individuals own beliefs during confirmation. This essay explores if there is something in aconfessional teaching that contributes to the students' knowledge in religion as a school subject.Therefore a quantitative study have been performed. The study aimed to investigate the grades ofthe students that participated in confirmation and how the grades changed after the confirmation.

Problem och Syfte: I och med regeringsskifte har diskussionen kring revisionens avskaffande åter blommat upp. Detta som ett led i en anpassning till resten av Europa där detta redan skett. I Sverige har frågan blivit alltmer belyst i den offentliga debatten. Syftet med uppsatsen är att fånga förväntningen hos revisionsbyråer, mikroföretag och banker kring ett avskaffande av revisionsplikten och vad detta kommer att innebära. Dels för de egna verksamheterna och dels för samhället i stort.

Så kallade demokratiska skolor som Sudbury Valley i Massachusetts och Summerhill i England kombinerar individuell frihet och gemensamt ansvarstagande för att gynna både lärande och utveckling av demokratisk kompetens hos skolbarnen. Trots att deras koncept under mer än 80 års tid har visat sig vara synnerligen framgångsrikt och trots att både lärande och demokratisk kompetensutveckling står högt på agendan för skolutveckling i både Sverige och internationellt, nämns dessa skolor eller deras koncept inte alls i diskussionen om den svenska skolans utveckling.I ett samhälle där beslut skall förankras i vetenskapliga fakta, faller det rimligen på allmänpedagogikens bord att kunna förklara de nämnda skolornas framgångar.Mitt syfte är att med hjälp av relevant litteratur granska de demokratiska skolornas praktiska koncept, att undersöka möjligheter att formulera en allmänpedagogisk teori utifrån detta koncept, samt beröra den traditionella skolans utvecklingsmöjligheter i riktning som en sådan teori utpekar. En etnografisk innehållsanalytisk metod har använts för att jämföra och samordna denna litteratur. Det visar sig att befintlig kunskap ger ett utmärkt stöd för de demokratiska skolornas praktiska koncept och att analysen ger upphov till hypotesbildningar på den önskade teoretiska nivån. Frågan om den traditionella skolans utvecklingsmöjligheter i ?demokratisk? riktning måste diskuteras bland annat ur ett maktperspektiv, och ett par inlägg i en sådan diskussion finns i sista kapitlet..

In each group I explain how the theorists formulate and motivate their positions. These groups are:1) The secularization paradigm, where secularization always accompanies modernization. (Therorists: Steve Bruce and Peter Berger (in the 1960s)2) The paradigm basically accepted, but revised to depend on existential security, rather than modernisation as such. (Pippa Norris and Ronald Inglehart)3) Religion returned in the public sphere.

The way in which media discusses religion has changed over time. Due to the separation of state and church in 2000, the Swedish state to a lesser extent legitimizes its political ruling with references to religious concepts. As a result, a higher tolerance towards religious minorities can be said to have taken place. This is an ambiguous change however, where critique raised towards religious practices and expressions of minorities also occurs to a higher extent. The public debate is in large part conducted through the media, but is also seen to be produced and reproduced through the media?s discourse.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how young members of Free Churches relate to issues connected with lifestyle and identity, based on the changed conditions for the self in late modernity. More specifically, I want to examine how they deal with the increased degree of detraditionalisation and institutional individualization in late modernity.My research-question is:How do young members of Free Churches relate to issues connected with lifestyle and identity, with the increased degree of personal freedom and institutional individualization in late modernity as a starting point?The empiric part of the essay is carried out by qualitative in-depth interviews with five young members of Free Churches. These semi-structured interviews are focused on a number of different areas of the changed conditions for the self in late modernity.My theoretical perspective has been constructed from the theories of Anthony Giddens, Zygmunt Bauman, Ulrich Beck and Elisabeth Beck-Gernsheim. From these theories a focus on certain relevant areas of the condition of the self in late modernity, has developed.
