This thesis deals with our heritage and the care of old buildings. In order to limit this vast area a specific attention has been brought upon the process of giving buildings a certain level of protection and after decision having it taken away, instead of giving a stronger protection level.Further limitation has been done through the choice of four buildings in Lund, within Lund University campus. These buildings all lost this certain level of protection. In one of six garbage collectors area in Cairo, Esbet el Nakhl, there's a handicap school run by the Coptic church. We chose to study this school using observations and interviews. The purpose of our thesis has been to describe the school, the goals of the education and the educational forms. The questions we asked our selves before the trip to Cairo were; how does the school look like? What's a garbage collectors area? How do the teachers educate the children? How's the situation for the handicapped children?We spent six days of observations and interviews at the school gathering information for the thesis.

The purpose of this article is partly to find out how the burial grounds are used today and the needs of its visitors, but also to develop the character and expression of future burial grounds. My suggestions focus on burial grounds without religious attributes; something that, according to the burial law (Begravningslagen, 1990:1144), the manager of the burial ground is ordered to obey. In my design I aim to fulfill any requests regarding the place of burial that have been raised during my study. I have chosen the history of burial grounds as my starting point and will subsequently discuss their significance in today's society. I describe what distinguishes the burial ground throughout history from medieval times and onwards. Tradition and religion are closely linked regarding burial rituals.

Ambitionen med denna uppsats är att skapa en bättre förståelse kring frågor gällande tillhörighet till religiösa samfund och olika religiösa värderingar som kan skapa friktion mellan medlemmar och majoritetssamhället. Syften med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur medlemmar i Svenska Kyrkan, Katolska Kyrkan och Jehovas Vittnen upplever sitt medlemskap i de religiösa samfunden de tillhör och vilka religiösa värderingar som kan påverka deras förhållande med samhället.I undersökningen använder vi oss av fallstudiedesign vilken vi senare tolkar utifrån olika teorier som handlar om olika typer av gemenskap (Stroope) och vilka värdesystem samt som ideologier påverkar samfundens medlemmars handlingar och deras relation till majoritetssamhället (Dumont).Undersökningen visar att en del kyrkomedlemmar strävar efter en gemenskap som de inte upplever i majoritetssamhället. Engagemang och tillhörighet till ett kristet samfund påverkas inte av majoritetssamhällets åsikter. Resultatet ger en bild av en stor upplevd gemenskap bland de kristna samfundens medlemmar vilka betraktar sin tillhörighet till respektive samfund som ett medvetet val. Deras gemenskapskänsla leder till att de behåller sina religiösa värderingar oavsett om det skapar friktioner mellan dem och majoritetssamhället. .

The aim for this essay is to identify and distinguish the metal casting of Uppåkra during late Iron Age by examine related material that primarily consist of finds made with a metal detector. I intend to, by analysing maps, concentrations in the detector material and probable constructions within the settlement, find patterns that can indicate a metal casting activity. The results of the essay show that a number of concentrations can be seen and that they both indicate metalworking activities and to some degree a structural specialization in the settlement.
