Intresset och användandet av komplementärmedicinska behandlingsmetoder växer bland både patienter och sjukvårdspersonal. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka effekten av tre komplementärmedicinska behandlingsmetoder vid postoperativ smärta. Centrala frågeställningar var om transkutan elektrisk nerv-stimulering, massage och musik har smärtlindrande effekt postoperativt. Good-mans sju steg (Willman m fl, 2006) följdes genom processen i denna litteratur-studie. 11 artiklar inkluderades totalt efter sökningar i databaserna PubMed och CINAHL.

This essay analyses the national standard for maintenance aid and if it´s compatible with the standards set in the government mould.As new-liberal ideas get more scope in the Swedish policy the analyses focus consisted in seeing about the social contribution been changed, and if the standards in the government mould have lost their worth.The national standard is not edified on the basis of subsistence levels, but becomes paradoxical when numbers of welfare recipients is the measure used in order to measure poverty, concurrent as the government mould aims to protecting every citizen?s welfare.The study analyses a type of society that has emerged during a period of time. In a normative analysis concepts are set in relation to each other where, the analysis presents standards that are vague. If the standards in the government mould are presented as something valuable and get their worth back in the policy, perhaps also the citizen´s in Sweden change attitude to poverty and welfare contribution.   Social- liberalism justifies social contribution and the welfare State, while new-liberalism has other opinions about what redistribution should contain.

This thesis studies path generation for industrial robots of six degrees of freedom. A path is defined by connection of simple geometrical objects like arcs and straight lines. About each point at which the objects connect, a region, henceforth called a zone, is defined in which deviation from the defined path is permitted. The zone allows the robot to follow the path at a constant speed, but the acceleration needed may vary. Some means of calculating the zone path as to make the acceleration continuous will be presented.

Bakgrund: Antalet personer med demenssjukdom ökar ständigt i hela världen och eftersom åldrandet är förknippat med smärttillstånd kommer sannolikt även antalet personer med demenssjukdom som har smärta att öka. Demens är ett samlingsnamn för sjukdomar och skador i hjärnan som innebär försämrad minnesförmåga. Personer med demenssjukdom har på grund av minnesstörning och kommunikationsproblem svårigheter att beskriva smärta. Detta kan leda till en smärtbehandling som inte är optimal och personerna utsätts för onödigt lidande. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva förutsättningar som påverkar sjuksköterskans bedömning av smärta hos personer med demenssjukdom.

The main purpose of this thesis was to take part of girl?s descriptions and experiences of their treatment for deliberate self-harm and to investigate whether they still experience effects of the treatment today. Our main research questions where; how do the girls describe their experiences of the treatment method, do the girls describe that they still experience any effects of the treatment, and finally how do the girls look back on their treatment today? In order to answer these questions, we carried out eight qualitative telephone interviews with girls that had undergone treatment in a specific treatment centre. We chose to analyze the material from the salutogenic theory and the concepts of SOC (sense of coherence) and with a hermeneutic approach.

Male violence against women in close relations has in recent years received increased attention, however, only identified as a problem in approximately 40 years. It is now a social problem that is constantly increasing, but the identification of the phenomenon has been possible thanks to the research on the subject. The purpose of this study is to, from a woman's own story, identify psychological processes in connection with the assault. The aim is also to confirm previous research on the phases of the abused go through until decampment and identify possible consequences of violence against women. I also aim to answer the question regarding the assistance of individuals in extreme situations while getting back to society.

Background: There have been doping usage as far back as as ancient Greece and around the early 1900s started the doping we have today. In 2008 it was 22,000 men aged 15-54 years old who had any kind of experience with doping in Sweden. The problem of doping use are all over the world and to overcome this problem, we need to work across borders.Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there is any connection between the use of supplements and attitude to doping. The study is based on the questions: is there any connection between the use of supplements and positive attitude to doping? is there any connection between the use of supplements/doping substances and high training frequency? and is there different use of supplement/doping substances between girls and boys?Method: A survey in form of a cross-sectional study and a waiting room survey was conducted with 63 respondents of whom 57,1% were women.

Användandet av musik som intervention för att bota sjukdom sträcker sig långt tillbaka i tiden.Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva hur musiken påverkar patienten och vilkenmöjlighet sjuksköterskan har att tillgodose patientens behov genom att använda musik somintervention. Denna uppsats är genomförd som en litteraturstudie inom ämnet omvårdnad ochbaseras på tio stycken vetenskapliga artiklar med kvantitativ ansats som har publicerats undersenaste fem åren. Ett genomgående resultat av denna litteraturstudie visar att musikinterventionkan minska oro/nervositet samt smärta och därigenom lindra lidandet. Musiken kan exempelvisstärka patientens förmåga att hantera stress och skapa lugn och ro, förbättra kognitiv förmåga, geenergi och egen kraft och känsla av välbefinnande. Genom att använda musikintervention somomvårdnadsåtgärd kan sjuksköterskan skapa en harmonisk, stimulerande och trivsammare miljö.Musiken kan skapa igenkänning, delaktighet, avleda uppmärksamhet, förmedla strategi förstresshantering och uppmuntra patienten att ta ansvar för sin egen situation.

Confusion can be a life threatening condition that is often missed by the nurses, thus it occurs in the same range as pain, fever or infections. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the phenomenon of confusion among elderly patients, in order to establish a wider understanding of the patient's nursing needs. Method: Literature study based on scientific material. Results: The result showed the patient's ability to recollect and reconstruct episodes of confusion. During the confusion the stories contained a wide variety of experiences, such as threat, fear, suspicion, chaos and order, unreal experiences, a need to escape and a bad sleep.

In non-profit organizations, surplus of the organization goes back to the organization's members. We have noted that Hyresgästföreningen initiated a change in 2005 when the organization merged its local membership registries to a national registry. There are few studies explaining how non-profit organizations are using management in an organizational change. What happens with the business management at an organizational change that is similar to the change in Hyresgästföreningen? The aim of this thesis is to explore how the governance of a nonprofit organization is changing at an organizational change.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine how a Swedish public library's collection of books on African history looks like, who the writers are and how Africa and its history areportrayed. The focus of the analysis is on the front and back covers and in some cases on theinformation texts inside the books. The chosen library is the city library of Umeå. The 15books examined were found on the shelf classified as Kp ? the classification for African history according to the Swedish SAB-classification system.

Bakgrund: Kronisk sorg är en icke- patologisk, känslomässig sorg-reaktion relaterad till förluster som uppfyller den sörjandes liv. Att leva med en kronisk sjukdom innebär många förluster som kan göra det svårt att hantera situationen, särskild om sjukdomens progressivitet innebär nya förluster för patienten. Brist på kunskap om kronisk sorg kan medföra att patienter får behandling mot depression men ingen hjälp till att hantera sorgen. Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva patienters upplevelser av kronisk sorg till följd av kronisk sjukdom. Metoden: En systematisk litteraturstudie på vetenskapligt kvalitativt material gjordes med den enligt Evans beskrivna analysmetod på kvalitativ data.  Resultat: Fyra teman framkom: emotionella förluster, kroppen sviker, förlorad framtid och lindrad sorg.

Sedan 2011 allt fler barn med autism tas emot idag i den svenska grundskolor eftersom de inte l?ngre har r?tt till grunds?rskolan utan signifikanta intellektuella funktionsneds?ttningar (SFS, 2010:800). Dock, vissa studier har visat att barn med autism i grundskolan ?r ensamma och ?r mindre accepterade av sina kamrater (Chamberlain et al; 2007). Jag ville unders?ka vad ?r det som f?rsv?rar eller underl?ttar social integration f?r barn med autism i grundskolan.

Smärta är förenat med ett lidande, och sjuksköterskan har ett stort ansvar vid smärtbedömning och smärtbehandling av patienter. Trots dagens väl utvecklade metoder och preparat för smärtlindring behandlas inte patienters smärta på ett adekvat sätt, bland annat på grund av negativa attityder hos sjuksköterskan när det gäller narkotikaklassade läkemedel. För att åskådliggöra hinder hos sjuksköterskan att administrera opioider till patienter med smärta genomfördes en systematisk litteraturstudie baserad på 18 originalartiklar. Resultatet visade att opiofobi hos både patient och sjuksköterska kunde verka som en barriär. Bristande kunskaper angående smärtbedömning och opioid som preparat var ett hinder för tillräcklig smärtlindring Ett bra samarbete mellan sjuksköterska och läkare var av stor vikt för att uppnå goda resultat vid smärtbehandling.

Though death and mortality is an inevitable part of our lives it seems like both the society with its culture and the individual in some way repress death. This study was set to explore how and why the individual holds back thoughts on his/her own death and in which way society affect the individual?s repression of death-thoughts. Using a hermeneutic approach I have interviewed five informants about death and thoughts about death in everyday life. Also for the analysis of the empirical material a hermeneutic approach was used, and the works of Bauman, Giddens, Heidegger, Fromm and May served as a theoretical starting point.
