Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka vilken inställning elever har till NO och teknik. I undersökningen användes enkäter som är utformade som intervjublad, med öppna svarsfrågor, vilket gör att det är elevernas tankar som framkommer i svaren. Det är 320 elever från fyra olika skolor i årskurserna 4-6, som är med i studien. Detta för att resultat mellan skolor skulle kunna jämföras. Av resultaten framgår att de flesta eleverna har en positiv inställning till NO och teknik.

This study investigated how banner ads, depending on its quality and placement,can capture a user's attention while searching for editorial content in an online newspaper. Furthermore, the user's search strategy was also studied to see whether it varied depending on the placement of an ad. An experiment was conducted where 20 subjects searched for articles in a Swedish online newspaper while their eye ovement was recorded with a headmounted eye?tracker. In each search task the online newspaper contained either a low quality ad or a high quality ad.

With a starting point in the legislation for organic production set up by the Swedishcertification organization KRAV, the reasons to why these regulations are important isexplained and how pigs are affected by these rules. The study also shows how well the pigscope in the organic environment considering the origin of the genetic material; from theconventional pig population. The conclusion is that pigs do function fairly well in the organicproduction environment and the traits affecting their functionality involve: motheringabilities, strong legs, good meat quality, good sow durability and longevity, capacity to eatmuch roughage and dark skin color. There are however still many ways of improving theorganic population of pigs to make them more adjusted to the organic environment; forexample different traits brought into the breeding goals and the choice of good parent animals..

The idea for the project emerged when Nilorn wanted to get better control over their supplychain and improve operational efficiency. The company also want to reduce their expenses inthe continuous process of improving profitability. By choosing the right option oftransportation and mode of transport there are large potential savings for the company. Thisenables Nilorn to reduce the transportation costs and strengthen the environmentalresponsibilities by reducing their environmental impact.The flow of goods within Nilorn has over the past years increased significantly and most ofthe gods today is transported by air. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the supply chain of thecompany and evaluate the potential economic savings in this area.

The purpose of this paper is to describe methods to computerize a library and to compare theory with a process in a school library. The case study is based on a school library called Sunnerbogymnasiet which is situated in Ljungby. My questions are;- Which methods are parts of the process to computerize a library?- Which methods are used in the process in Sunnerbogymnasiet?- What does the practical process look like compared to the methods described in theory?In the paper I present the methods in the process according to the studied literature and compare these with a process at Sunnerbogymnasiet. The most significant result is that cooperation between the school library and the community library was the most important reason for the choice of library computer system.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att synliggöra naturvetenskap och teknik mer på förskolorna. Arbetet har resulterat i ett praktiskt användbart arbetsmaterial för förskolan, Upptäck och Utforska Naturvetenskap och Teknik med Kråkis ? ett arbetsmaterial för förskolan. Det är ett årstidsrelaterat arbetsmaterial som innehåller experiment kopplat till fysik, kemi, natur och teknik där olika fenomen behandlas. Arbetsmaterialet är framtaget genom inläst litteratur och har utvärderats med materialtest på flera förskolor, samt genom en enkätundersökning och observationer.

This study deals with branding at an individual level and aims to explore what a personal brand means, what benefits that?s obtained by actively working with a personal brand, as well as the strategies and methods used in the development of it. It has also meant a restriction in choice of interviewees made to informants who are familiar with and active in the personal branding process in their daily life. The essay is based on a qualitative research approach; six people working in various occupations were interviewed by a desire to generate information from different perspectives. The result shows that a personal brand is all about credibility, authenticity, and the image you present to others.

Since the middle of the 1980´s the Swedish bank market has experienced a change concerning structure and pressure of competition. Before the year 1985, the market was characterized as a market with few operators but have changed to a market with many operators and seen as one of the most intense in Europe where the four major banks; Nordea, Handelsbanken, SEB and Föreningssparbanken together have a strong position. Their market share has recently decreased, mostly for the benefit of foreign banks and niche banks. The Swedish market has experienced difficulties in generating profits which mostly depends on new establishments that have increased the pressure on competition, a low growth as well as weakened customer relations. The development has resulted in a growing importance of market segmentation, mainly by the fact that costumers have become more disloyal as a result of the increased competition.Students are a market segment of interest for the financial market, mainly because of the expectations of their positive financial situation in the future.

The aim of this study was to acquire knowledge about the working conditions of people's gainful employment. The research was conducted at one of the regional social insurance offices of Malmö with participation of ten of their employees. The research method of choice was a phenomenological approach. One open question about the working situation was answered freely. The results indicate a rather severe discontent about the workplace.

Arbetet gjordes för att ta reda på vad forskningen säger om laborationernas roll i fysikundervisningen. Detta gjordes genom att jag läste flera olika forskningsrapporter, bland annat från en stor undersökning inom EU där ett försök gjordes att undersöka måluppfyllelsen i dagens fysikundervisning. Forskarna tog först reda på vilka mål lärare har med sin undervisning, och sedan togs reda på i vilken utsträckning olika typer av undervisning hjälper eleverna att nå dessa mål.Resultaten visar att det bästa sättet att nå de fem huvudmålen (Länka teori och praktik, lära sig att utföra experiment, lära sig vetenskapliga metoder, öka motivationen och undersöka elevernas kunskaper) är en blandning av undervisningsmetoder, där laborativa moment är en viktig del. Min egen undersökning visade på samma resultat. För att få eleverna att förändra sina alternativa begrepp, så att de stämmer bättre överens med de vetenskapliga, krävs något mer än en öppen laboration.Variation verkar vara nyckeln till god måluppfyllelse..

Previous research does not show a clear picture of the perception of personalized advertising as studies give different results - there are both positive and negative aspects. The purpose of this study is to improve the knowledge and understanding of the impact of personalized advertising in the new Internet era. The aim is to answer whether personalized advertising has more positive than negative effects on Facebook or if marketers today should rethink regarding this issue. An experiment with three advertisements was defined where one ad was with no personal targeted content and the other two included personally targeted content. These ads were analysed with the theories word of mouth, information overload and psychological ownership to see if interesting results could be found regarding ad attitude, click intention and purchase intention as well as to investigate if the attitude to Facebook could have an impact on the results.

Purpose/aim: The purpose of this thesis is to examine if, and in that case how, the municipality of Umeå worked strategically with its communication during 2014 when Umeå was chosen as ?European Capital of Culture?. The research is mainly focused on the outlines of their communication plan, main goals, what  communication strategies the municipality has chosen to and their choice of media channels.Material/method: Two methods are used for this research; qualitative interviews with four employees within the communication team during Umeå2014 and a text analysis of three formal documents which provide the framework of communication policies and media strategies during Umeå2014.Results: The results clearly indicate a well structured, strategic planning outlined in the formal documents. The four people intreviewed all had a good knowledge of the policies and strategies in the documents, they also described their work in accordance with these..

Denna undersökning avser att belysa flickor som gjort könsbrytande val till gymnasiet. Antalet flickor som gör könsbrytande gymnasieval har ökat något de senaste åren. Enligt vägledningsteorin Social Cognitive Career Theory, SCCT, gör individer ?karriärval? utifrån sin subjektiva prestationsförmåga, den s.k.?self-efficacy?. Beroende av hur individen uppfattar sin egen förmåga och värderar sig själv, vidgas eller minskas handlingsutrymmet.

Technology evolves quickly, with innovative ideas growing everywhere. Still, no technology is anywhere near challenging the mouse and keyboard for navigation of your standard computer. This study focuses on comparing the traditional technologies of mouse and keyboard with the new technology of gestures - in this case Leap Motion - in purpose of finding how the usage differs and what the potential users want from the competing technology. The experiment was executed in a controlled environment, with as few external factors as possible. We found that although the test subjects found Leap Motion fun, the test subjects do not want to surf the web with gestures.
