Barns inflytande, delaktighet och intresse : En studie om samspel och förhÄllningssÀtt i förskolans vardag
The aim with this study was to give and receive an insight of children?s participation during one day in a preschool. Answers we were interested in finding out were how pedagogues act in relation to childrenÂŽs influence, participation and interests and how this shows in the pedagogical context. Our own interest of childrenÂŽs participation was influenced by the new revised curriculum that took place in 2010. Nowadays the pedagogues? have to be more active and reflect and document childrenÂŽs influence and participation, and therefore we wanted to use this opportunity to create a picture of how pedagogues deal with these new guidelines.We have with an ethnographic inspired approach performed a qualitative study with data collected during one day with focus on childrenÂŽs influence, participation and interest in one preschool section.According to the result children?s participation and influence this day were controlled by the pedagogue.

The research in this thesis attempts to understand what happens when children (3-6 years of age) interact with each other in the context of free play in two pre-school settings when adults are not involved. The aim of the study was to get a closer look at how children create relationships and how they protect and defend their interactional spaces. Data was gathered through ethnographically inspired methodology, using video observation to capture the everyday interactions of the children. Results were analyzed using a phenomenological approach to peer cultures. Previous research suggests that it is very important for children to maintain their interactions with peers and gaining access to play.
Bedömning av oralmotorik och talmotorik med VMPAC hos typiskt utvecklade barn, 4-10 Är
Syftet med denna studie Àr att undersöka hur en grupp typiskt utvecklade, svenska barn, i Äldrarna fyra till tio Är presterar pÄ tre deltest i VMPAC, för att dÀrmed skapa ett underlag för en referens för svenska barn i bedömningen av avvikande utveckling. Studiens frÄgestÀllningar Àr: 1. Hur presterar en grupp typiskt utvecklade, svenska barn, i Äldrarna fyra till tio Är, pÄ tre deltest i VMPAC (Focal Oromotor Control, Sequencing Maintenance Control och Connected Speech and Language Control)? och 2. Förekommer det nÄgra skillnader mellan en grupp typiskt utvecklade, svenska barn, jÀmfört med den amerikanska normeringen i VMPAC och barn med verbal dyspraxi (CAS) undersökta inom ramen för en magisteruppsats (Björelius-Hort, 2009)? Oral- och talmotorisk förmÄga hos 23 svenska barn i Äldrarna fyra till tio Är, som Äldersmatchats mot barn med verbal dyspraxi (Björelius-Hort, 2009), testades med deltest tvÄ, tre och fyra ur VMPAC.

The aim of this study is to examine the interaction between a group of multilingual, twelve-year-old children, and three libraries. The children live in a suburb of a larger city. The three libraries are their school-library, the library in their suburb and the main library in the city. We have examined if and how the children use the libraries, what the libraries mean to them in their daily life and what their possibilities are when it comes to participate in and influence activities and collections at the libraries. We have pursued qualitative interviews with sixteen children in grade six and three librarians, working with multilingual children at the three libraries.

I have investigated how municipalities support children with ADHD. I have interviewed persons responsible in five different municipalities. The persons have had the authority to decide how the support funds are to be shared in the municipality. Mostly I was interested to know if the support was the same in all these municipalities and if the children with ADHD really got the help and support they were entitled to. I discovered that the support varied; in some the children were correctly diagnosed but in others municipalities I was not convince.

The purpose of this study is to describe and understand how children?s participation and influence is described in the curriculum of preschool. The purpose includes how educators perceive, working with and what opportunities and challenges they believe that there is in the process of participation and influence. The methods I used were qualitative text analysis and e-mail interviews. I studied text in the curriculum and interviewed four educators to find out their views on children's participation and influence.
Att frÀmja barns delaktighet: En studie av barnbibliotekariers syn pÄ barns delaktighet i folkbibliotekets barnverksamheter
The objective of this thesis is to explore the prerequisites for children?s participation in the activities of the public library as expressed by six children?s librarians. Qualitative semi-structured interviews were carried out to investigate how the librarians interpreted the concept of participation and viewed power issues between children and adults. Further, difficulties and possibilities experienced in working with children?s participation and manifestations of children?s participation in everyday library work were also investigated.

Sweden is a multicultural country and because of this the Swedish school-system should be adapted so that all pupils can develop their linguistic skills so that they can participate andunderstand the education. By using scientific work from other researchers and my own experiences from a general point of view, I noticed that pupils with foreign origin perform less good in mathematics than pupils with Swedish origin, in the Swedish education system.The purpose of this research is to find out if communication and interplay between the pupils makes it easier for them to understand mathematics and its? concepts. My research involves acertain school class were all pupils have another etnicity then the Swedish one. My aim was to find out if the pupils reached the knowledge-goals for mathematics in the third grade.

The purpose of this thesis is to create conditions in order to plan lighting to a library room after children's needs and wishes, and to gain deeper knowledge about how children experience different lighting environments and what they perceive as good lighting. I was given the task by Huskvarna library to design a lighting plan for their children's department. This is part of the project "Library 2.1-room as a medium" that is going on at Huskvarna library since fall 2007. My questions at issue are: 1. What do children consider as good lighting in a library? 2.
En skola för alla? : Some teacher?s perspective on intercultural pedagogic
Purpose: The purpose with the essay is to examine how some teacher?s works with intercultural questions, if they are looking after student?s cultural background, earlier experiences and knowledge?s in their teaching. We have formulated three questions whom we want answer to.Method: The essay began with a theoretical research to get more knowledge of intercultural pedagogic. The study part is based on seven interviews in two schools in SödertÀlje, five with teachers and two with assistant principals. The conclusions of our essay are based on the results of our study.Result: The study shows that the two discourses ?national self-understanding? and ?the democratic credot? still lives and compete with each other.
Ett informativt och förberedande program utvecklat i samverkan med Barnöverviktsenheten pÄ Mas i Malmö
This report is the outcome of an exam work made in interaction design, bachelor degree, at the School of Arts and Communication, Malmö University. Working in collaboration with the childhood obesity unit, Region SkÄne, our aim was to fulfill their request of a web based application preparing the children for treatment at their facility. Furthermore the application intends to give the children knowledge concerning obesity as well as teaching them how to obtain a healthier lifestyle in terms of provision and activities. The application concerns children in different ages and therefore different stages of their learning abilities. Our conclusions are that they need to be challenged and obtain feedback in different ways to get motivated.

This report investigates digital games with focus on differences and similarities between children?s point of view when it comes to games focusing on learning compared to those focusing on entertainment. The approached group was children, 7 years old. The study contains investigations and analysis of how these children used games in both school and home environment. The most used theory ?8 theories of fun? by Marc LeBlanc (2004) raises the most important parts making a game fun.

The main purpose of the present study was to collect Swedishnorm data for the comprehension scale of the Reynell DevelopmentalLanguage Scales (RDLS III) for the ages of 4:6-4:11. According to theBritish manual the degree of difficulty increases gradually and therefore theorder of the sections was examined to see whether this was the case inSwedish. The study also examined the relationship between the test resultsand shared book reading. A total of 88 children and their caregiversparticipated in the study. The participants were recruited from preschools inGöteborg and Mölndal.
"De blir mer som en bifigur" : Familjehemssekreterares resonemang och agerande gÀllande biologiska barn i familjehem
The aim of the study was to understand how the family home secretary reasons and thinks and how they express themselves in their actions towards the family home?s biological children. The method used is qualitative semi-structured interviews, involving six family home secretaries from four different municipalities. The results were analyzed with the help of two theories ? the theory of grassroots bureaucracy and the sociology of childhood theory.
