In todayÂŽs society ICT and computers are a big part of childrenÂŽs everyday life and reflects on their upbringing.Since I am using computers as a pedagogical tool in teaching the children at my preschool, I find this topic interesting to explore. Are the teacherÂŽs using computers for an educational purpose with the children at preschools or are they using it in other ways?Do the teachers think they have the required knowledge to computers usage in teaching the children in a pedagogical way? What is the teacherÂŽs attitude towards computers in preschool? The essay starts with a introductorial background section where I talk about my own experiences of using computers with the children in my preschool, and then referring to the society then and now, school law, curriculum, teachers' computer skills, media situation amongst children and young people, computer use in preschools/schools and health effects. I have composed a survey based on the answers of 50 teachers in 30 different preschools and in nine different municipalities. The result of the survey is reported and concludes with a part of discussion, where the results are put up against the introductorial background section.

DANTE börjar pÄ E... : en reflekterande essÀ om förskolebarns möte med skriftsprÄket

The children's ways of showing interest in writing and reading in pre-school have always fascinated me. The joy and pride they show when they start writing their own doodles and then eventually go on to write real letters and words, is a joy so see.The origin of this essay is based on Dante 3.5 years old. He wants me to spell my name so he can write to me. When I mention the second letter, Dante happily says "E, that's what my name starts with! From the other direction" I am amazed by his thoughts, and my enthusiasm for his knowledge knows no bounds. In the same moment I become aware of Alma, who quietly has seen my reaction to Dante's skills.

On children born with a complete cleft lip and palate (CLP) the repair of the alveolar ridge doesnŽt take place before the children are about ten years old. Thereby it may be necessary with cover for examplewith a palatal plate or an obturator.
