Ett tyst rop på hjälp : en litteraturstudie om hur sjuksköterskan kan identifiera barnmisshandel

Background: Corporal punishment has been banned in Sweden since 1979. Child abuse is known to exist in all cultures and social classes in our society. Therefore the nurse must be aware of this working with Children.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe how nurses' can identify signs and symptoms of Child abuse.Method: A literature review of ten articles containing six quantitative and four qualitative studies published between the years of 2000 and 2012. A content analysis was performed where similarities emerged in themes and subthemes.Results: The findings were signs and symptoms which concerns physical, psychological and social behaviors seen in Child abuse. Additional findings were; an insecurity and lack of knowledge among nurses working with Children.

Today the right of the Child to participate freely in cultural life and the arts is a goal on the political agenda. As a consequence, in 2011, twenty-six government agencies and institutions of culture were assigned to formulate strategies for activities for Children and young people. These strategies are the empirical basis of this thesis. The aim of the study is to elaborate and problematize three issues concerning Children?s culture from the viewpoint of a social constructionist understanding of Childhood as constructed in various, often political, practices.

Introduction:Children in early age diagnosed with scoliosis and in need of surgery will grow up to undergo several operations in the back. Parents play a major role in the care of their Children during hospitalization.Purpose:The purpose of this study was to investigate parents´ experiences of having a Child diagnosed with scoliosis before the age of five undergoing repeated surgeries in the back.Method:The study had a qualitative descriptive design. Five parents with Children aged 5-15 years, who have undergone several operations were interviewed about there experiences of the Child?s illness and treatment. Phenomenological-hermeneutical analyze where used.Results:The parents felt a sense of shock when they were told about their Child?s diagnose and treatment.

It also explores the school's role in this context. The questions that the studyis guided by is: How was Children described in the Child Welfare documents in Malmö duringthe years 1935-1937? And what role did the school have in Child Welfare work and whatmotivated this? The theoretical approaches are Foucaults theories of power, control anddisciplining.It appears from the study that the school and Child welfare authorities had a close cooperationwith the purpose to control the upbringing and disciplining of the Children. It was through theupbringing that the deviant Child would become a "normal", docile and good, industriouscitizen.

Even though many states have ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and sworn to protect human rights, viloations occur every day both in developed and developing countries. United Nations gave Sweden critique for not implementing the Convention conrerning article 11, which raises the question how respected the Convention is amongst other states? Does democracy contribute to a higher level of implementation?.

Individanpassad omvårdnad för det för tidigt födda barnet : En litteraturstudie

The aim of this study was to describe the meaning of individual care according to Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment programs (NIDCAP) to the early born Child. The care around the early born Child has shown a big importance. NIDCAP incorporates many care aspects that give structure for an individual tailored care. A fast care planning within three days and night after the birth according to NIDCAP has a positive effect for the cognitive development. The early Child has showed that the surroundings environment has an important role for their development.

With this research we aim to examine foster parents and social workers perceptions about the relationship between foster parents and the foster Child?s biological parents and their perceptions about the support to the foster parents in the contact with the Child?s biological parents. The research will provide a deeper understanding of the actors? perceptions and explain possible differences in their opinions. This study has a qualitative approach and contains eight semi-structured interviews with foster parents and social workers in a smaller town in the south of Sweden.

The aim of this essay was to investigate how social workers, within chosen Social services districts in the northwest of Skåne, work with Children placed in foster care. Our purpose was to investigate the interaction between the Child and the foster home from the perspective of the Ecology of Human Development. Our questions were:* How do the social worker prepare the Child and the foster home before a placement?* What kind of support is offered to the foster home with the purpose of supporting the Child?* How do the social worker make the Childs contact with the biological parents easier?* To what degree does the social worker work on strengthening the Child's network?* Which factors do the social worker decide the allocation of support?* What do the social worker think affects the work with the foster home from a society level?To answer our question we have interviewed nine social workers. We found that the social workers were generally good at perceiving how the micro- and meso-systems, and to a certain extent the exo-system, influenced the foster Child.

The purpose of this qualitative sociological law study is to examine the relationship between the social services and civil court to apprehend if knowledge about the Child's best interest is transfered from social workers to the legal system. This have been done by investigating civil court cases concerning custody transition from biological parents to foster parents according to 6 chapter 8 paragraph in the law of parenting, built upon the legal principle of the best interests of the Child. Eight cases has been examined by using a method of qualitative text analysis and categorised into five primary categories and three concepts linked to sections of the law. The material has been analysed through a sociological law perspective, social constructionist theory and attachment theory. The study shows that a variety of factors interacts when it comes to determining what?s in the best interest of the Child .

The purpose of this essay is to explore how educators are supposed to prioritize their work at the preschool so that all Children are listened to and the conditions necessary for kids to dare to express their feelings and thoughts are in place. How is the relationship important for the Child's learning? How do I become a committed educator who knows how to interpret and prioritize my work so it benefits Children's learning? I am developing these questions in two parts in my following text. Firstly I am writing about why it is important that we who work as pedagogues meet the Child on the Child?s own terms.

Samverkan mellan socialtjänst och polis, när ett barn misstänks för ett brott : - En kvalitativ studie, ur ett myndighetsperspektiv

The purpose of our study is to see how the interaction between the social services and police work when a Child under 15 years is suspected of crimes.What happens to the Child from an agency perspective? How is the experience for the Child and how do they get their voices heard? How is the professional perspective for a Child when a Child is suspected of a crime? What do the various authorities for short-term and long-term measures for the Child?We have chosen to do a qualitative study using semi-structured interviews. The study includes six interviews with two police officers, three field secretaries and a social worker in two different municipalities. A medium sized municipality, and a larger community.The people we interviewed think differently about collaboration. The municipality have different workforms.

Från individbedömning till verksamhetsbedömning : Hur kan förskolan utveckla sin verksamhet så att den kan möta alla barn oavsett förutsättningar?

One of the Swedish preschools many tasks is to identify the needs of a Child and to shape an activity suited to their needs. This identification means a lot of times that a Child is weighed and valued despite that the curriculum clearly states that no assessment is to be done in the Swedish preschool. To develop a preschool able to face all Children regardless of their individual needs it?s necessary to change focus from Child assessment to instead look at the work and environment in the whole preschool. A development of the activity might be seen as a work in progress whose primary goal is to improve the quality of work in preschool.

Barn i familjehem: vilka faktorer bidrar till en välfungerande placering?

The purpose of this study has been to investigate which factors are important with foster home placing, to achieve a positive result for the Child. The questions that we have focused on is the importance of the Child's earlier experiences and relations, the foster homes attitude and approach, the social service organization and the cooperation between these concerned parties. We have also looked at the importance that the relation between the biological family, the Child and the foster home can have. This study has been carried out using qualitative interviews with several foster homes, social welfare secretaries and a researcher in the area. We have also chosen to separate the foster homes on the basis of two foster homes only accepting teenagers while other accepting younger Children.The theoretical concepts we have chosen to use are connected to attachment theory and the ecology of human development point of view.
