Child diabetes ? parents? experience Barndiabetes - föräldrars upplevelser

Background: Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 is increasing among Children on large parts of the world. The disease strikes not only the Child but affects the whole family. The parents are those who are responsible for the Child?s treatment and well being. Purpose: The purpose of the literature review was to describe how parents to Children with Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 experience and handle the situation around the Child?s disease.

BackgroundType 1 diabetes is a chronically disease that often occurs in early life. In every year around 77.000 Children in the world is estimated with type 1 diabetes. When a Child gets a chronically disease it affects the whole family, specially the parents who will be the Child's caregiver.AimThe aim of this study was to describe parents experiences of living with a Child with type 1 diabetes.MethodA literature review was carried trough based on 10 qualitative scientific articles. The articles were analyzed and two main themes and seven subthemes emerged.ResultsAll parents experienced that they needed some kind of support particularly early in their illness. They felt it was a big responsibility to take care of their Child with diabetes and parents often felt anxiety and fear associated with the disease.

This paper explores the interaction of Children with language impairment (LI). The present essay is a conversation analytic study of Child-Child and Child-therapist dyads. The aim was to explore in what ways Children with LI reach common understanding. Another purpose was to investigate if there are differences in interaction between dyads with Children with LI and dyads with Children with LI and speech language therapist. Seven Children, three girls and four boys, with LI participated in the study.

The aim is also to compare if the social workers? view of the Child?s position in the enquire has change accordingly to Socialstyrelsens intentions of BBIC. The theoretical approaches that was used is the new institutionalism, the Shier?s pathways to participation and the term discretion.

BARNKONVENTIONEN : 20 år senare

On November 1989 the Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. Today more than 20 years later the convention is ratified by all countries in the world except the USA. A question asked is however if the convention after 20 years of development work has in fact accomplished some positive effects for Children around the world? The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in selected states and to reach this aim some questions need to be answered: What do the selected states do to realize the best interest of the Child?What do the selected states do to guarantee all Children?s right to survival and development?Do all Children in the selected states have the same right to health and health services?Do all Children in the selected states have the same right to education? The material studied in this thesis is those reports that are to be sent periodically to the Committee on the Rights of the Child by all states. The result of this study shows that the Convention on the Rights of the Child has made some positive progresses when it comes to the situation of the Child in the world.

Barn till föräldrar med drogmissbruk: En litteraturstudie om vilka faktorer som påverkar barns förutsättning och möjligheter i en uppväxt med missbrukande förälder/föräldrar.

The aim of this essay was to examine the impact that parents drug abuse have on their Children´s chances and possibilities while growing up. This study is done by investigating literature written by acknowledged authors and experts in this field. The following questions were asked:How does the literature describe the influence of parent´s drug abuse on their Child´s ability to develop and learn?Which factors does the literature distinguish as determining factors on the Child´s ability to resist and recover, from a Childhood with drug abusing parents?The result of this essay showed that having drug abusing parents constitute different types of risks when it comes to the Child´s ability to develop and learn. How the Child is able to cope with it´s parents drug abuse is determined by several factors such as, the situation in the family, the Child´s personality and how people in the Child´s surrounding react on the Child´s needs..

ABSTRACTParental support is needed because it promotes a positive development in Children, because parents ask for it and because it has positive effects on the public economy. Those responsible in Sweden for Child health care have shown an increased interest in supporting parenthood.Aim: The overall purpose of this study was to investigate what kind of support parents today desire from Child health care. An additional purpose was to investigate if they feel their needs and wishes are met.Method: The study has a descriptive and qualitative design. The selection was eight parents of Children under eighteen months of age: four mothers and four fathers. None of the participants were couples.

Barns rätt och äktenskapsåldern : En kritisk studie av svensk rätt i samband med de grundläggande principerna i barnkonventionen

The Swedish rules for marrying in Sweden are different for swedish citizens and foreigners. A swedish citizen has to have permission from"Länsstyrelsen"to marry before the age of 18 but a foreigner may marry without permission at an age of 15, unless a higher age is required by the foreign law. The main question in this essay is if the swedish international law concerning the age of marriage is compatible with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and/or the Swedish Constitution. The comparison is based on mainly two questions: Primarily the Swedish international law is discussed concerning which marrying age is good for the Child. Thereafter it is discussed whether it is discriminating to have different marrying ages for swedish and foreign citizens.

Barnet i biståndet : - en kvantitativ studie om barnperspektivet i ekonomiskt bistånd

This study is about the Child?s perspective when it comes to work with financial assistance. The purpose of the study was partly to describe how social workers regard the Child?s perspective in their work with financial assistance and partly to look into whether they impose a Child?s perspective in their practical work. To fulfill this purpose the authors used a quantitative method and sent out a web based survey to all the social workers actively working with financial assistance in Stockholm town.

This is a sociological jurisprudence study which focuses on "Child perspective" in Law of Support and Service with Certain Functional Impairments, LSS. The purpose of the study was to clarify the meaning of Child perspective in LSS and analyze it in relation to practice. The study was conducted with mixed strategies combining qualitative and jurisprudential methods. Both LSS and Law of Social Welfare, SoL, were studied. Social workers from dirrerent muncipalities in Sweden were interwiewed.

Introduction: Child maltreatment, perpetrated by a caregiver, is a major health problem. The Child suffers not only at the instance the abuse or maltreatment occurs, the consequences may persist into adulthood. The specialist nurse in Child health (CHN), who works at a Child health care unit, comes across almost every Child growing up in Sweden. The CHN has an opportunity to implement primary prevention with the family during the Child's first years. Aim: The aim of this study is to describe the CHN experiences regarding primary prevention to avoid domestic Child maltreatment.
