The idea for the project emerged when Nilorn wanted to get better control over their supplychain and improve operational efficiency. The company also want to reduce their expenses inthe continuous process of improving profitability. By choosing the right option oftransportation and mode of transport there are large potential savings for the company. Thisenables Nilorn to reduce the transportation costs and strengthen the environmentalresponsibilities by reducing their environmental impact.The flow of goods within Nilorn has over the past years increased significantly and most ofthe gods today is transported by air. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the supply chain of thecompany and evaluate the potential economic savings in this area.

Samvård respektive separerad vård : Inverkan på en nybliven mors tillit till sin förmåga att amma

På de flesta svenska sjukhus har samvård av mor och barn efter förlossning eftersträvats eftersom samvård bland annat främjar amning. I samband med kejsarsnitt och då barnet inte mår väl efter födsel separeras dock ofta mor och barn för en kortare eller längre tid, vilket påverkar amningen negativt. Mödrars tillit till sin förmåga att amma har visat sig ha stor betydelse för om de skall lyckas med amning. Mödrar med låg tillit har en högre risk att sluta amma tidigt än de som har hög tillit. Syftet med studien var att jämföra nyblivna mödrars tillit till sin förmåga att amma då mor och barn vårdas tillsammans respektive vårdas separerade efter förlossning.

Utveckling av internordersystem för SharePoint

SharePoint is a web based platform designed to provide internal communications and file sharing for businesses and organizations.In this project, we created a system consisting of multiple applications to be used together with SharePoint. These applications are meant to simplify the workflow for internal orders of products. The system is targeted towards companies that do not have a flexible approach to digital orders or companies that want to integrate this functionality into their SharePoint platform. The project includes, in addition to the creation of the system, installation of the software and the servers needed to run a SharePoint environment and their configurations.The system consists of four applications where one of these, the store application, is required for the system to be used at all. The other applications are an order management application, a purchase application and an incoming delivery application. Of these four, we have implemented the store application and the order management application. Our hope is that users will find the system easy to use and graphically appealing..

Utveckling av nyckeltal för logistiska tjänster : En studie vid logistikföretaget Foria

The purpose of this thesis is to identify and define Key Perfomance Indicators (KPIs) and value adding services which are used to describe the quality of Forias logistics services from different aspects. The KPIs should be attractive to both Foria and their customers, with the aim to strengthen the interaction between both parties.The basis for this work is a research in which a literature review and a survey of the market for Swedish logistic service providers were carried out. An analysis of the present situation of Foria was carried out, where a number of people in the company were interviewed. These elements were used together with definitions of KPIs to perform the analysis of the work.The result of the work is ten KPIs that have been created and developed for Foria and which are considered to be attractive to both Foria and the selected customers. The KPIs are: · ECO-driving (binary) ? the company has ECO-driving-educated drivers· ECO-driving (comparison figure) ? all drivers individual driving and its resulting exhaust emissions are compared· The environmental impact ? a total of exhaust emissions from all vehicles belonging to a single business, measured in tonne-kilometres· Complete order ? portion of fields with accurate information (in an order), with the possibility of error categorization· Delivery reliability ? time difference between expected and actual delivery, average for all orders· On-time ? the number of days and hours of difference between the expected and the actual time, for all activities of the order· On-time (activity) ? the number of hours and minutes of difference between the expected and the actual time, for each individual activity of the order· Divergence ? a categorization of all causes of divergence and its responsible department· Level of integration ? the level of cooperation between the logistic service provider and the customer· Customer satisfaction ? how well an order will meet the expectations of the customer The KPIs are described in detail with definitions, how they can be used and what is required to implement them in the service process of Foria.

Barnmorskor och läkares syn på faktorer som främjar respektive hindrar vaginal förlossning efter tidigare kejsarsnitt

Bakgrund: Kejsarsnitt en av de vanligast utförda operationerna i världen. Effekterna på kvinnors efterföljande graviditeter och barnen är många. Andelen vaginal förlossning efter kejsarsnitt (VBAC) varierar globalt. Sverige är ett av länder som har hög andel VBAC, dock saknas studier om hur professionella i Sverige ser på VBAC.Syfte: Att utforska svenska barnmorskor och läkares syn på vilka faktorer som främjar respektive hindrar vaginal förlossning efter kejsarsnitt.Metod: Studien grundades på transkriberat material från två fokusgruppsintervjuer av svenska barnmorskor och läkare utförda inom ramen för EU-projektet OptiBIRTH som pågår i sex länder i Europa. Materialet analyserades kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Resultatet presenteras i fyra huvudkategorier: Kvinnans upplevelse av förlossning, Grundläggande förhållningssätt till förlossning, De professionellas attityd och övertygelse samt Vikten av evidensbaserad information.

Kapacitetsberäkningsmodell för materialhanteringsflödet på Ericsson i Kumla

Ericsson?s factory in Kumla, Modules Kumla, became a hub for radio modules and micro base stations, which enables mobile communication through radio base stations, in 2004. Because of this the factory focuses more on the logistics operations. This has led to a need to be able to plan the capacity for the materials handling system. This master thesis has therefore been performed at Modules Kumla to develop a capacity calculation model for the material handling flow during the autumn of 2005.The work has contained a mapping of the material handling flow regarding to which activities was performed and how much time they consumed.

En stark och betydelsefull händelse Barnmorskors upplevelse av att arbeta med planerad hemförlossning

I Sverige är det en kvinna på tusen som väljer planerad hemförlossning. Med planerad hemförlossning menas en förlossning som planeras ske i det födande parets hem med stöd av en legitimerad barnmorska eller läkare. Då hemförlossning idag inte ingår i det svenska hälsovårdssystemet får kvinnan själv se till att ordna ett avtal med barnmorska eller läkare och även bekosta vården själv. Det finns forskning om hemförlossning i relation till medicinsk säkerhet och kvinnors upplevelser. Vidare finns ett fåtal studier om barnmorskor som bistår vid hemförlossning dock inga från Sverige.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the organizational buying behaviour in the purchase of travels abroad. We have conducted a case study of two companies, one medium sized and one larger. Our empirical studies have shown that the companies? buying process is divided into two types, the process of recruit a new travel supplier and the process of a straight rebuy of a regular travel service. In the recruiting process we found that the evaluation process of the purchase is an ongoing process that contradicts estab-lished theories.

En undersökning om hur ett företag arbetar för att minska luckan mellan Brand Promise och Brand Delivery

Ett varumärke är bra för kunden på många olika sätt, först och främst så talar varumärket om ursprunget eller tillverkaren av produkten eller tjänsten, men det allra viktigaste som varumärket gör för kunden är att det ger kunden särskild mening och någonting som kunden förhoppningsvis kan identifiera sig med. Om kunden har information om varumärket så behöver han/hon inte leta så mycketefter information om varumärket vilket är bra ur ett ekonomiskt perspektiv då sökkostnaden blir låg.Vårt syfte med den här uppsatsen är att få en inblick i hur ett företag arbetar med att minska luckan mellan Brand Promise och Brand Delivery. Vi ville jobba mot ett lokalt företag eftersom vi är från området båda två och eftersom GavleNet har en aktuell och intressant produkt så valde vi arbeta mot dem. Vi har utfört muntliga och skriftliga intervjuer för att samla in data och även använt oss av relevant litteratur samt sökt i databaser och även på andra sätt utnyttjat Internet. Vi valde att arbeta utifrån en modell som heter ?Brand Relation Management Model?, den består av åtta faser: vision, kultur, identifiering, fastställa, arkitektur, engagera, kapitalisera och mätning.

Processanalys vid Color Print Sweden AB med fokusering på prepressavdelningen

This thesis work has introduced process orientation at the printing company Color Print Sweden AB. The outcome ofthis work is a survey of the work flow at the prepress department. To visualise the production process at the companya comprehensive mapping of the main process, order-to-delivery, has been made. The work has detected a couple ofcritical elements in the existing process. These elements are the following: initial check of material delivered to the prepressdepartment as well as the control made of the plotter print-out, digital test print and plate.

The company has several of its complete applications written in ASP e.g. the development of homepages. The aim of this thesis is to describe how service companies through adjustment of the customer?s zone of tolerance can influence customer?s perception of the service during the processes of service delivery and create customer satisfaction. The method used was case study approach utilizing personal interviews, which were conducted at two service companies. The study showed that the aspects of the service that have greatest importance for the customer?s assessment of the service and customer satisfaction among others are personal treatment and that personel behave in the way that makes the customer feel itself taken good care of and unique.

In printed text, sound is a somewhat forgotten aspect. The recitation of text is vital in areas like poetry and oratory, but still has no distinct technique of being communicated. Emphasis of a word might be expressed through italics, but no canonic character set or system for vocal delivery of texts exists. With this essay we are creating a foundation for a development of such a character set or system. By studying existing visualisations of sound and comparing these with semiotic and perception-based theories we obtain useful insights for a prospective system for visualisations of vocal sounds.We conclude that the aspects of sound one wants to visualise must be carefully defined since the viewer cannot process infinite amounts of information.

Föräldrar till barn med Downs Syndrom : Skillnader i upplevelser av stöd mellan mödrar och fäder.

Every year 120 children with Downs Syndrome is born in Sweden. The aim of the study was to investigate if there were any differences between mothers and fathers of children with Downs Syndrome regarding: experience of support from health care personnel and physicians in the time of delivery and from who parents sought most emotional support.Participants of the study was 80 mothers and 79 fathers that answered a questionnaire. There was a difference between parents if they thought they received support from health care personnel, mothers (59 %) and fathers (38 %) thought that they didn?t receive support. Emotional support sought mothers (52 %), in grater wideness then the fathers (23 %), with other families with handicapped children.
