The main purpose of this paper is to examine and compare the democratic situation and developement in Malung and Nyköping, through a perspective of participatory and deliberative democratic theories. The questions I?ve examined are On what priorities the actions of developing democracy are built? Which positive effects have been reached and what problems have arisen? What are the solutions they have found to the problems? How does one experience the results of the experiments and actions taken? What are the similarities and differences between the two cases? and What is their relationship to the theories mentioned above?The questions are answered through interviews with four central actors in each case and examined in relation to participatory and deliberative democratic theories and in comparison of the two cases.The results have been that even if none of the cases respond to one theoretical ideal, they have touches of both theories as well as representative theory. It shows, however, that in Malung the representative democracy theory is the strongest represented in actions and politics, while in Nyköping the participatory democratic theory is stronger. In short, the most positive and negative effects respond well to the theories..

Uppsatsen analyserar nyintroduktionerna på Stockholmsbörsen mellan 1992 och 1995 och deras prissättning och värdeutveckling på 10 års sikt i syfte att undersöka hur kapitalmarknaden historiskt sett har lyckats med att marknadsprissätta företag som har sökt sig till börsen. Central för analysen är hypotesen om informationseffektivitet vid prissättningen av nyintroduktioner och den därav följande värdeutvecklingen. Resultaten påvisar inga systematiska avvikelser ifrån de förväntade avkastningarna enligt CAPM. Informationen om nyintroduktion i kombination med egenskapar som MV, P/B, betavärden, börsklimat under introduktionsåret eller branschtillhörighet räcker inte för att framgångsrikt tillämpa aktiva handelsstrategier som realiserar signifikanta överavkastningar under något av de 10 åren som följer på nyintroduktionen eller över hela livslängden upp till 10 år..

Detta arbete omfattar en studie angående ett blivande kompetensutvecklingscenter för urbefolkningen på ön Mindoro i Filippinerna. En central punkt på centret är ett rum avsätt för varierande verksamheter. Min studie omfattar hur detta rum på bästa sätt kan bidra till flexibilitet och användbarhet genom rumsliga element. En fallstudie utfördes i Filippinerna under perioden mars-maj 2012. En kvalitativ studie innefattande intervjuer, observationer, diskussioner, analyser och litteraturstudie, med fokus på visioner, hinder och förutsättningar. Analys av studien och designprocessen resulterade i ett gestaltningsförslag som skapar förutsättningar för inkludering och funktionalitet. Resultatet blev en stapelbar låda som går att använda som sittplats, en plats till förvaring, samt går att sätta ihop till önskade moduler.

The aim of this university paper was to understand how eight former clients at Staple reformatory had experienced their stay there. The clients at Staple are young people between 13-20 years old, both boys and girls.The basic questions were: What picture do the clients have of the treatment they received?What has been, from their perspective, the most important during their stay? Do the clients think the time spent at Staple has helped them? And how do they describe their change, if there was any?We gathered the information from the youngsters with qualitative interviews based on a manual divided into covering different themesWe found that the time at Staple had been very positive for all the former clients that we interviewed. They described the relations with the staff at Staple as central for their rehabilitation. The most important task for the people that work there is to set a good example for the client, and to be role models.

Den här kandidatuppsatsen i ämnet landsbygdsutveckling beskriver det små-skaliga kustfiskets förändring från efterkrigstiden fram till idag med exempel från Södra Marsö, i Misterhults skärgård på Smålandskusten. Det småskaliga kustfisket står inför många utmaningar i form av sin små-skalighet samt påverkan från regleringar inom dagens fiskeripolitik, som är anpassade till storskaligt fiske. Jag har intervjuat tre kustfiskare och genom deras upplevelser tagit del av hur fiskeripolitiken blivit en allt större del av deras vardagsliv. Fiskarna har lågt förtroende för myndigheter, vilket tar sig olika uttryck. Analysen görs utifrån ett perspektiv där expertsamhällets inverkan på poli-tiker och fiskare är central. Fiskarnas ontologiska trygghet påverkas, och systemets kolonisering av fiskarnas livsvärld visar sig. Myndigheternas relation med fiskare har utvecklats till vad som kan kallas en social fälla..

This thesis sets out to investigate the meaning of ?social sustainability? in a given context.

Bakgrund: Enligt statistiska central byråns prognos (2003) kommer invandrare eller barn till invandrare att stå för cirka åtta procent av Sveriges befolkningsökning inom de närmsta tjugo åren. För att kunna bistå med god vård på lika villkor för hela befolkningen måste den svenska sjukvården anpassas efter det mångkulturella samhälle vi lever i. Syfte: Denna litteraturstudie syftar till att belysa svårigheter som kan påverka mötet mellan svensk vårdpersonal och personer med invandrarbakgrund. Metod: Litteraturstudien bygger på sju vetenskapliga artiklar, alla med kvalitativ forskningsansats. Studien analyserades utifrån Malterud (1996).

Bakgrund: Sjuksköterskan har en central roll i vården av patienter   med smärta och ansvarar för skattning, dokumentation och behandling.   Förekomsten av smärta är ett vanligt problem inom vården. Syfte: Att beskriva hur sjuksköterskan bedömer smärta   hos patienter. Metod: Litteraturöversikt baserad på tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultat: Sammanställningen av artiklarna resulterade i fyra teman, sjuksköterskans användning av bedömningsinstrument vid bedömning av smärta,   sjuksköterskan och patientens verbala kommunikation vid bedömning   av smärta, sjuksköterskans observation av patientens och dennes   vitalparametrar vid bedömning av smärta och sjuksköterskan bedömer smärta   genom att ta hjälp från tidigare erfarenhet av liknande situationer. Diskussion: En icke fullgod smärtbedömning kan orsaka ett lidande för patienten och   det är därmed viktigt att sjuksköterskan låter patienten stå i fokus vid smärtbedömningen. .

This essay examines wether the prevailing opinion of Machiavelli as a prominent figure in political realism is correct or if the author is misinterpreted and can be said to represent something more. Thus, the puropse of this essay is to revise the description of Machiavelli given in widely used Swedish textbooks. This is done on the basis of a thesis saying that Machiavelli, judged not by his renowned book ?The Prince? (Fursten), but in the light of his extensive work ?Discourses? (Republiken), does not advocate a sovereign power but rather promote a pluralistic society. The method used in this essay is a qualitative textanalysis, which is done on the two books in purpose to examine three central themes in Machiavelli?s writing; the morality, the view on humanity and the state and citizen.

När individer presterar spelar feedback en central roll för om det kommer att skapas motivation att uppnå målen eller inte. Ovan nämnda begrepp är även centrala för den kollektiva self-efficacy som är gruppens tro på sin förmåga. Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur en individs self-efficacy påverkas vid ett negativt utfall inom ett prestationsområde. En enkätundersökning med 81 lagidrottsspelare genomfördes i Västmanlands län.

This study examines from a gender perspective how the gender distribution is viewed in the content of Göteborgs-Posten's sports pages and the short and long term effects of the the newspaper's gender equality plan that was introduced in 2005. It is a quantitative study for two sample periods, 2005 and 2009, that investigates how many articles in the newspaper which is about women's sports and male sports. Michel Foucault's theory of discourse is central to the study, his view of identity in society and how these are represented fit well on gender issues in sports journalism. The results show that women's sport is greatly subordinate to man's sport in terms of number of articles. The gender equality plan has not had any noticeable effects on Göteborgs-Posten's sports pages. This is due to a variety of factors ? economic aspects weigh heavily in this problem. .

During this time the parents go through a crisis and the nurse had a central role to help them through the hard time. Aim: The aim of this study was to illuminate parent´s experiences of living with a child with a cancer diagnose during the illness. Method: A literature -based study, qualitative content analysis of 14 qualitative articles.

The purpose of this masters thesis is to examine the arguments that are being used when closing and establishing peoples libraries. During the 90:ies, in the community of Gothenburg, 4 public libraries were closed and another 3 public libraries were opened. A possible reason for this change lies in the reform from the city Committee that split the community of Gothenburg into 21 pieces; all with one centrally appointed political Committee. The library activity has since the reform was implemented got worse in some areas, foremost in the already neglected city sections, and better in some areas, which where able to establish new libraries. Argumentation analysis indicates that the arguments used at closure where mainly economical and neither the number nor relevance and validity of the arguments where good.

The recent decades have been characterised by a trend where the public sector's been inspired by several methods and strategies from the private sector. The public library is in this case no exception. In this context there are different perspectives on whether or not this will lead to a dramatic change of the role and values of the traditional public library. The aim of this master's thesis is to make a contribution to a deeper understanding of the ideological conflicts within the Swedish public library and its relation to the market. In the literature of library and information science I have identified two separate discourses representing two contradictory systems of meaning concerning this relation.
