The purpose of this study is to examine what motivates people to help others at risk to themselves. The focus is on international aid workers, which in their work put themselves in situations of risk. Earlier research shows that international aid work involves risks such as infectious diseases, violence, death threats, assaults, constant insecurity and risk to be traumatized etc. There is not much research done on what motivates to help others in spite of risks, hence we find this an interesting area. We have interviewed six respondents about the content and character of their motivation and factors that are important for the maintenance and development of this motivation.

This study analyzes Hungary's democratic backsliding under Viktor Orb?ns term of office between 2010 and 2025. The research questions addressed in this study are ?Which central institutional reforms can be identified as significant for Hungary?s democratic backsliding under Viktor Orb?n?s rule from 2010 to 2025?? and ?In what ways have these reforms contributed to a process of democratic backsliding?? The study is based on a qualitative case method. To be able to conduct this study, secondary sources such as academic literature and reports from international organizations have been analyzed in detail.

Abstract The aim of this paper is to investigate whether Vara municipality has a continuous picture of their identity, profile and image. Globalization has contributed to the increasingly growing of place marketing. Therefore, the study goes on to using the concepts of identity, profile and image to find out if Vara Municipality communicates similar throughout the whole organization and find out their all through core values. Globalisation will be an interpretive framework for the work that describes why the place marketing is becoming more pressing. The sense of place will be a central part of this study as it is the feelings and images of different places that will be described by the municipality together with the identity, profile and image.

This paper is a literature study aiming to describe scientists newest theories andknowledge concerning the El Niño and Southern Oscillation. Firstly I have described the?normal? conditions with rising and sinking air in Hadley- and Walker-cells in theequatorial Pacific and from there moved on to explaining the reversed circulation patternsand higher sea surface temperatures (SST) leading to rising air and anomalousprecipitation in eastern Pacific constituting the El Niño phenomenon. My outermostinterest regarding El Niño has been the associated teleconnections, especially in nontropicalareas. I have described the El Niño effect on the Indian summer monsoon, ontropical cyclones and on storms and precipitation on higher latitudes.

Thus, one crucial issue has become how to utilize the resources already available within the organization. Organizations can thoroughly plan and control personnel resources in order to become more efficient. But to become more cost effective also means taking into consideration several key figures, productivity being one of the more important figures.Onninen, a wholesaler which has one of its two central warehouses in Örebro has experienced this issue, i.e. an increase in competitive situation in their market.

This essay aims to investigate how Swedish Public Libraries market their activities in video games for youths. It also highlights how the library, on the basis of the unique opportunities of the video game medium, can develop this marketing to build a relationship with youths. The empiric evidence is based on a survey of answers given by 30 librarians responsible for video game collections, and qualitative telephone interviews with three of them. The essay?s theoretical framework is based on Philip Kotler and his co-authors? marketing theory which consists of five stages: Marketing research, segmentation, marketing mix, implementation and development.

Culture, orgin and identity are hot topics that are being discussed everywhere, for example in newspapers, lunchrooms and on Twitter. Politicians, media and ordinary people have displayed different antiracist acts, for example campaigns, marches and political actions.But you may wonder if it really is that effective, or if the antiracism reproduces racism with its language. The purpose of this study is to see if articles from the newspaper Aftonbladet's antiracist campaign ?We like different!? reproduces racism through its language.The method that is used is discourse analysis, more specific Chantal Laclau och Ernesto Mouffes discourse theory. The theories the study relies on are race, racism, framing, racism in news, binary oppositions, stereotypes, whiteness and orientalism.Two discourses were found in the material, ?We like different? and ?We like the same?.

Persons suffering from Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) struggle with complications within the functions that regulate and control the brain activities, due to deficiencies in these functions within the affected nerve-paths. ADHD is a cognitive function impairment characterised by inattention, impulsiveness and over activity. According to Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental Disorders, American Psychiatric Association (DSM-IV), certain diagnostic criteria of ADHD must be fulfilled in order for a person to be diagnosed with ADHD. The everyday problems caused by ADHD are individual and medication can have positive effects relieving the person?s impairing behaviour.

Problem: Förutsättningarna på de central- och östeuropeiska marknaderna skiljer sig från de västeuropeiska, vilket innebär att dessa marknader är svåra att angripa. För att möjliggöra ett gränsöverskridande samarbete mellan dessa regioner, måste företaget inte enbart förstå skillnader, utan även identifiera vilken påverkan dessa kommer att ha på utvecklingsmöjligheterna. Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att identifiera de motiv ett företag kan ha vid en etablering i Central- och Östeuropa samt att skapa en djupare förståelse för de problem samt svårigheter som kan uppstå under denna process. Metod: Metodmässigt är uppsatsen av abduktiv karaktär då vårt syfte är att jämföra företagets internationalisering med relevanta existerande teorier. Insamling av material har skett genom studier av litteratur och forskning på området samt kvalitativa intervjuer med personer i ledande positioner inom fallföretaget.

Den förväntan en gäst har på en måltidsupplevelse är central i arbetet med att skapa extraordinära måltidssituationer. I studien har de faktorer som skapar förväntan på en måltidsupplevelse sökts fram och dess påverkan på skapandet av förväntan studerats.Uppsatsens syftet var att undersöka hur rummet kan påverka gästens förväntningar och upplevelser i en måltidssituation.Studien grundar sig på fakta hämtat ur granskade, publicerade vetenskapliga artiklar som sökts fram med hjälp av centrala, det vill säga relevanta och viktiga, sökord ur databasen FSTA. Resultatet visade att den förväntan en gäst har på en måltidsupplevelse skapas och baseras på ett flertal olika faktorer. Dessa faktorer är bland annat det omgivande rummet med dess design, dukning och inredning, den yttre miljön, den marknadsföring och information som getts, personal och bemötande samt den sociala interaktionen i samband med måltiden. Egen empiri och förförståelse utifrån liknande, tidigare upplevelser bidrar också till att skapa en förväntan på den upplevelse som skall komma att konsumeras.

Medling innebär att gärningsman och brottsoffer träffas för att tillsammans samtala om hur de ska hantera följderna av en brottshändelse och dess verkningar i framtiden. Båda parterna får en central roll där de får återge sin version av händelsen utan att bli avbrutna. Syftet med rapporten är att undersöka vilka effekter medling eventuellt medför för brottsoffret. Materialet som används är både svenska och utländska studier som behandlar ämnet. Rapporten bygger också på två intervjuer med medlingssamordnare i Sverige.

This thesis revolves around NATO?s role in the Ukraine crisis with the startpoint in 2014. Specifically, through conducting a qualitative content analysis of various NATO related material, a study regarding NATO?s security strategy and defense strategy, and the strategies' implications and roles in the Ukraine crisis, was able to be conducted. The purpose was to obtain an understanding of how NATO?s strategy has been interpreted and implemented in relation to the crisis.

In Asian countries, soy products are consumed in larger quantities than in the Western world, which has led to implemented research with the intention of examining soy's potential effect on cholesterol levels.Objective: To investigate whether there is scientific evidence that isoflavone supplementation from soy bean may have a lowering effect on LDL-cholesterol.Search strategy: The databases used for the systematic literature search were PubMed, Scopus and Cochrane. Keywords used were cholesterol and 9 versions of this, and isoflavones and 11 versions of that.Selection criteria: RCT articles, on humans, written in English, published from 2011 onwards, that focused on interventions with isoflavones from soybeans and its effect on blood cholesterol, the participants were over 18 years old and the study time was at least 24 weeks.
