Bakgrund: Globalt ses en ökad internationell migration där Sverige varje år tar emottiotusentals asylsökande. De asylsökandes rättigheter skyddas av internationella deklarationer och konventioner om mänskliga rättigheter, där rätten till hälsa är central. Ändå lider asylsökande av hög grad av ohälsa, mycket till följd av deras status som asylsökande och den utsatthet som det medför. Att dessutom vara gravid gör dem extra utsatta trots att de har rätt till mödrahälsovård på samma villkor som icke-asylsökande i Sverige, då de inte har rätt till övrig sjukvård. Barnmorskor inom mödrahälsovården arbetar för vård på lika villkor utifrån kompetensbeskrivningen och den etiska koden, men utifrån lagstiftningens begränsningar riskerar barnmorskorna ställas inför professionsetiska dilemman i vården av asylsökande gravida kvinnor.

Uppsatsen fokuserar på hur begreppet hållbar utveckling behandlas i läroböcker i Samhällskunskap A. Syftet med min undersökning är att studera hur hållbar utveckling behandlas i samhällsböckerna i kurs A och jämföra om det finns en diskrepans med kursmålen och hur detta förhållande har förändrats över tid. Som metod har jag valt att göra en läromedelsanalys där jag utifrån en egen operationalisering av begreppet hållbar utveckling undersöker hur lärobokstexterna behandlar begreppet. Undersökningen visade att hållbar utveckling inte har någon central roll i läroböckerna och att väldigt lite har förändrats mellan undersökningstiden 1995 till 2005. Dessutom kan man hävda att det finns en diskrepans mellan läroböckerna och kursmålen, i synnerhet när det gäller dagens kursmål och de senaste läroböckerna..

Venous leg ulcers are a chronic disease mostly among elderly individuals. The leg ulcers are often painful and interfere with the individual?s daily life. The aim of this literature review was to describe individuals? experiences of living with venous leg ulcers.

Bakgrund/Frågeställning: När Fanny Ambjörnssons bok "I en klass för sig ? Genus, klass och sexualitet bland gymnasietjejer" publicerades 2004 fick den ett mottagande få avhandlingar kan räkna med. Den recenserades och diskuterades i tidskrifter, dagstidningar och på olika myndigheters hemsidor. Ambjörnsson följde under ett år kvinnor på två olika gymnasieprogram; ett studieförberedande (Samhällsprogrammet, S) och ett yrkesinriktat (Barn- och Fritidsprogrammet, BF). Boken avser analysera hur klass, sexualitet och etnicitet spelar roll för konstruktionen av genus.

Syftet med vår studie är att få en inblick i förskollärares tankar om barns leksaker i förskolan. Studien är baserad på intervjuer av fem förskollärare, verksamma på fyra olika förskolor, som delat med sig av sina tankar kring leksaker. I vår studie kom vi fram till fyra teman för hur förskollärare värderar leksaker: Saker som finns runtomkring, Bra leksaker, Dåliga leksaker samt Datorn. Vår slutsats är att rolleken och kreativiteten prioriteras i förskolan vilket innebär att de leksaker som främjar detta får en central plats i verksamheten. Vi kan även se att förskollärarna ser förskolan som en frizon från trendleksaker och framhåller att förskolan ska inneha de ?klassiska? leksakerna som till exempel klossar.

Sustainability Reporting has emerged and transformed over the past decades as a voluntary practice by companies across industries that desire to show proof of good conduct and environmental; social; and economic responsibility. As industrial food production is one of the largest contributors to contemporary environmental problems, it might be expected that reporting within the industry would be both well established and well understood. Unfortunately, it is neither. In light of the food industry?s considerable environmental impact and the growing popularity of plant-based food as a more sustainable alternative to dairy products, this paper assesses and briefly discusses the Sustainability Reporting of two companies in the plant-based food and beverage industry. The research was designed to compare the practices of Europe-based Alpro and US-based SoDelicious, and this study has two major purposes: to describe the reporting of the case companies and to subsequently compare their practices to the other as well as to global reporting standards. The empirical study in this paper was conducted through content analysis.

This paper describes the process of producing avatars for Jiddr. Today, social media surrounds the lives of youth, and communication via the Internet is an everyday occurrence for most people. Jiddr is an app that was created to give youths a platform for engaging with adults and other youths. It is a moderated forum which gives young people the opportunity to come i contact with adult role models who are knowledgable within various subject areas. On Jiddr, users are anonymous, and this is something I have placed much importance on during the design process.

Denna studie belyser självmedicineringshypotesen (SMH), inom missbruk, ur ett individperspektiv. Fyra semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts med individer som uppfattar sig som självmedicinerare. En fenomenologisk analys har utförts baserad på tre teman; alkoholdebuten, drogvalet och missbruket efter debuten. I analysen framkommer att en av intervjupersonerna självmedicinerade enligt SMH, en person gjorde det till viss del, medan två inte självmedicinerade i enighet med SMH. Studien behandlar frågan om sambandet mellan effektsökande och drogval.

This report is the result of a project work carried out at Karlstad University in conjunctionwith the local consulting firm Camatec where most of the work has been performed.The work can be classified as a classic engineering work with supportive theories andcalculations which in this context is relevant.The engineering project has focused on developing new standards for a conveyor that is usedin the Värmland paper industry where large rolls of paper are produced. A conveyor can takeits appearance in many different forms but in this thesis it has been an exemplary look and ithas also become modulatable with a central section, a drive end and a turning end.The construction work has been build under CAD programs such as Pro Engineer, drawingshave been created and costings have been analyzed. Strength calculations have been made andcooperation from several different companies have erected to explore different solutions andideas for a modern and sustainable conveyor..

Södra Cell Mörrum is one of the five paper pulp plants that are included in Södra Cell, and the paper pulp that is produced here is not only sold to Swedish paper mills. Most of the paper pulp is exported to different countries in Europe. In the manufacturing process the plant needs different kind of process water and there are guideline values for how much copper, iron and sodium this water is allowed to contain. Analyzes of this water is in the current situation done with an atomic absorption spectrometric instrument (AAS-instrument) with a flame. Measurements done with flame-AAS of samples that have concentrations near the guideline values for copper, iron and sodium, are not reliable. The reason for not being reliable is that the quantitation limits of these metals are higher than the limit values.

The recent turbulence in the financial markets has contributed to the banks becoming more restrictive to lend to real estate financing. Deleveraging in Europe's banking sector has also contributed to banks reducing their leverage and increasing capital adequacy to meet the new requirements. Loan-to-value ratios in real estate loans have fallen while banks' interest margins have increased, which has made property investors to look for alternative sources of funding in the capital markets. The two most interesting forms of financing for real estate right now is bonds and preferred shares as they fit property companies that generate stable and predictable cash flows. A bond is an interest-bearing debenture certifying that the purchaser has lent money to the company that issued the bond.

Studien syftar till att undersöka manliga idrottslag och få en ökad kunskap i gruppdynamikens uppbyggnad och påverkan på laget och dess individer. Metoden som används för detta är tre stycken halvstrukturerade intervjuer samt observationer. Resultatet visade att gruppdynamiken är en väldigt vikig del av idrottslag. Stämningen som finns är byggd på gamla traditioner om hur män i grupp ska fungera samt på en rollsättning som görs i laget. Detta i sin tur skapar en speciell ton och kommunikation inom laget som främjar vi-känslan och samhörigheten.

Cameraria ohridella, the chest-nut leaf miner, is a new pest in Sweden. These moths make leaf mines on chest-nut trees, preferably on Aesculus hippocastanum, which results in brown blotches on the foliage and early loss of leaves. Since the first observation in Macedonia in 1985 it has spread rapidly through Europe. The moth arrived in Sweden in 2003 when it was observed in Malmö and surrounding areas. In this paper a literature study describes the morphology and life cycle of the chest-nut leaf miner. Further more a test with pheromone traps examining the number of generations in Sweden is shown.

The main aim of this paper is to illurninate how a group of immigrants meet the publiclibrary in Sweden. I have chosen to discuss Iranian immigrants' meeting with the publiclibrary in Borås. The investigation (qualitative interviews and inquiries) has taken placein the public library of Borås and partly in a local library with high density of immigrants.A theoretical perspective deals with the case study of dual marginality, where theconception of the "Marginal Man" or "The Outsider" is central. I have indicated how theprevious authors have considered this problem, to live on the verge between twodifferent cultures and how individuals react on it.The interviews and inquiries answered by Iranian immigrants are the most importantmaterial in this investigation and the result of them is connected to the theoreticalperspective and a discussion, what it means for the public library..
