Älvkarleby, landscape character and design proposal is a Graduated Thesis (30 ECCcredtis), in the subject of landscape planning at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, the Department of Rural and Urban Development. This thesis is a study and implement of the method "Landscape Character Assessment" (LCA), developed in England and Scotland as tool to analyse and highlight the landscape in different planning processes. The purpose of LCA is to increase the understanding and strengthen the role of the landscape. The thesis consists of three main parts: landscape characterization, guidelines and a design proposal. The landscape characterization emphasizes the values of the landscape in different types of planning processes, a documentation to base estimations on in any kind of change in the area. Theese estimations have resulted in guidelines that give proposals to the development of the landcape, focusing at the desingproposal.

Bakgrund och problembeskrivning: Samhället och synen på näringslivsklimat förändras. Samverkan mellan aktörer får ett ökat fokus och socialt kapital är ett begrepp som blivit alltmer populärt. Lokal näringslivsutveckling anses vara en av faktorerna som bidrar till förändring i landets kommuner. Center of Innovation (COI) i Vårgårda kommun är en näringslivsorganisation där några större företag gått samman i ett samarbete för att främja näringslivet. Svenskt Näringsliv, som rankar företagsklimat i Sverige, presenterade under 2008 Vårgårda kommun på en 9:e plats i Sverige och en 1:a plats i Västsverige.

The pathogenic fungus Rhizoctonia solani causes major economic losses for potato producers in Sweden. The producers, as well as advisors, have reported possible increases in severity of R. solani when free-living plant parasitic nematodes are present and active. There are several examples in the literature of interactions between pathogens where one, or both species, support or increase the damage made by the other organism. These complexes are important to investigate and to be able to forecast, since even low incidences of fungi or nematodes may result in an interaction of significance.

Enlig denna studie framgår det att det finns två olika sätt att skapa mervärde för kunden. Det första är värdedistribution och det andra värdeskapande processer. I konkurrensen om kunden är priset en så viktig faktor att företagen under lång tid valt att fokusera på att minska sina kostnader.

Thanks to preschool Bamse and the entire literature I have related to in my degree work I have both got an explanation for my question at issue, and a clearer insight for my main question "The treating of bilingual children after acclimatization". I have within the investigation chosen to study on the basis of the educationalists perspective on bilingual way of working. My question at issue on this investigation has been to see how a regular day of language development looks and how the group of children developed the Swedish language.The purpose with my degree work was to be able to get an insight in the educationalists way of working and methods and also to see how the educationalists treats bilingually individuals after the acclimatization. För många akut sjuka patienter är alarmeringssjukvården och ambulanssjukvården den första kontakten med sjukvården. Därför är det viktigt att dessa patienter prioriteras korrekt i förhållande till sjukdomstillståndets allvarlighetsgrad. Allra viktigast är det när patientens tillstånd är potentiellt akut livshotande, i situationer när tid är liv. Förutom det fysiska hotet kan tiden kännas outhärdligt lång innan ambulansen är på plats. Rädsla för att inte bli hittad och rädsla för att tillståndet ska försämras ytterligare kan innebära en skarp konfrontation med tankar om livets ändlighet.Syftet med studien var att kartlägga om det förelåg några skillnader i prioritering mellan alarmeringssjukvården och ambulanssjukvården, vid uppdrag där ambulanssjukvården bedömt att patienten led av ett potentiellt akut livshotande tillstånd.Alarmerings- och ambulansuppdrag från en region i sydvästra Sverige analyserades i en retrospektiv kvantitativ studie.

The title of the study is: "Stories about helpful conversations - a narrative study of active processes in therapy and treatment." The purpose of this study was to examine clients' stories of what has been helpful to them in therapy / treatment. The study has been made in light of the ongoing discussion in society about the requirements for empirical studies within welfare areas. The choice to make a narrative study comes from the desire to have clients' own stories at the centre of what has been helpful in the therapeutic process. The author has interviewed and talked with four people (clients) who told us about their experiences of therapy / treatment. Narrative research methodology is based on people's life stories.

This report was written by Lisa Bengtson and Hanna Paradis and describes the degree thesis "Environmental impacts of solid waste treatment in the Metropolitan Region, Santiago, Chile ? a comparison between current system and incineration with energy recovery". The purpose of this thesis was to investigate if incineration with energy recovery could be motivated through an environmental perspective as an alternative to landfilling of solid waste in Santiago, Chile. The study was performed with Life Cycle Analysis as a theoretical base. In Santiago, situated in the thirteenth region of Chile, Región Metropolitana, lives 6,5 million inhabitants. The major part of the solid waste produced in the region is landfilled on three different sanitary controlled landfills situated outside the city Center.

This report describes an investigation of the indoor climate in two different workspaces. Since we a big part of our lives are staying indoors in artificial environments, and more particularly in our workplaces, we think it would be interesting to do this investigation. The technical solutions for air treatment systems began with simple natural systems without fans and where the thermal rise of the air applied. In modern time is technical air treating systems used to take care of the fresh air supply. This type of units can supply filtered air with the right temperature to the building. Well-functioning ventilation is essential to bring clean fresh air to the room and effectively remove impurities without sound- or draught problems. The indoor climate is relevant for the output capacity.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med denna C-uppsats är att undersöka och analysera friskvårdsarbete i tre olika organisationer. Detta vill vi ta reda på genom att besvara följande frågeställningar; Vilka förutsättningar har organisationerna för friskvårdsarbete? Hur stor är sjukfrånvaron i respektive organisation? At the moment in central Täby there are small district heating network operated by Fortum Heat. The distribution network has an annual heat demand of about 70 GWh, which is supported by the network's two plants, Galten and Farmen. Täby as a region is rapidly growing and there are grand plans to develop the area. Estimated market potential for a future district heating expansion in Täby is very high and as early as in 2007 Täby decided to invest in a large-scale expansion. In autumn 2009 Täby did a procurement process, known as the ?Täby initiative?, to find a partner that could implement those expansion plans. To secure a cheap basic production the partner also need to build a power plant at Hagby recycling Center. Despite high interest during initial state of the process, only one procurement offer were received and Täby suspended the contract in March the following year.

Stockholm is one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Its population is growing every day and the housing needs are becoming higher. Despite the growth and the need for more houses only a few new housing units are being built every year. Critics argue that if the building rate stays as it is today the development of the city will be very limited since there is no capacity for the city to embrace new incomers.The decision makers in the municipality of Stockholm are planning for large investments in housing units for the coming years up until 2030. There are plans of building approximately 140 000 new apartments to mend the ascending need for new houses.Farsta County is part of Stockholm and lies a few kilometers to the south of the city Center.

Bakgrund: Företagens jakt på flexibilitet har under de senaste årtiondena lett till en förändring av medarbetarstrukturen och idag är det vanligt att företag i större utsträckning använder sig av konsulter som hjälp i det vardagliga arbetet, istället för att anställa personal. Av denna anledning blir det viktigt för företagen att konsulterna styrs på ett bra och genomtänkt sätt för att säkerställa att de arbetar för att uppnå företagens mål, eftersom kostnaderna för dem annars snabbt kan överstiga nyttan med att ha dem i organisationen. Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva och analysera hur inputstyrning, i form av rekrytering, träning och socialisering, används för att styra teknikkonsulter som befinner sig länge på samma företag, samt att påvisa hur dessa tre styrmekanismer hänger samman. Tillvägagångssätt: Uppsatsens empiriska material bygger på fem intervjuer gjorda på Scania Technical Center, Ericsson, Saab Training Systems, Volvo Personvagnar samt ett anonymt företag. Slutsatser: Vi har kunnat konstatera att de studerade fallföretagen i mångt och mycket liknar varandra vad gäller hur de använder sig av styrmekanismerna rekrytering, träning och socialisering och de skillnader som finns företagen emellan är begränsade.
