Physiotherapists treat people with different views of the world and medical beliefs, which require a good understanding of cultural differences. One way to achieve cultural understanding is through self-reflection in a new context. During five weeks the authors, two physiotherapy students, completed a clinical practice at the rehabilitation Center Pina Palmera, Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico. At the beginning of the period a critical incident was chosen, when the head physiotherapist for the ward Cuidados Especiales intended to sell jewellery to the authors during a treatment of a patient. The authors have by using the reflection framework "Framework to guide reflective process", and Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) for analysis, discussed different ways of communication, adherence, education, and self-reflection and critical thinking.

This study demonstrates that there is variety of treatment interventions for children exposed to intimate violence. These interventions are differentiated in design but a common ground for them all is that they strive to provide a chance for children exposed to intimate violence, to be able to speak about and process their feelings and violent experiences. The study?s aim is to, with a qualitative approach, seek understanding for the different actors who practice social work, see upon their task in the treatment interventions that are provided for children exposed to intimate partner violence. The study is based on mapping the existing treatment interventions for previously mentioned target group, in Malmö.

Bakgrund: Antalet barn och ungdomar som deltar i organiserade idrotts- och fritidsaktiviteter ökar. Det ses också en ökning av intensiv träning i yngre åldrar. Detta kan leda till att barn och ungdomar utsätter sig själva för ökad risk för akuta skador och överbelastningsskador. Syfte: Att applicera och anpassa Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center (OSTRC) svenska enkät till ett pojklag inom juniorishockey under en fyraveckorsperiod samt att genomföra en skaderegistrering mot de fysiska hälsoproblemen (akut skada, överbelastningsskada och sjukdom) och belysa dessa inom juniorishockey. Material och metod: Samtliga spelarna i ett pojklag (ålder 15-18) i ishockey fick under fyra veckors tid fylla i OSTRC enkät en gång i veckan.

In today?s society, there are many people who suffer from physical pains due to their work situation. To work sitting down by a desk long hours every day is quite normal but this is a problem. People that sit down and work in the same position all day long the whole week will eventually be affected by long-term work injuries.Large multinational companies around the world offer a customer service where they serve customers who have experienced a problem with that company?s products or services.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the points of view of three groups of actors about their local learning Center and its collaboration with the library. By interviewing groups of actors from the municipal sector, the library staff and students, I aim to investigate their associations of the learning centre, what kind of services it should offer, and how they understand the role of the library staff in specific collaboration between the public library and the adult education administration. The study design is based on Gunnar Grepperud?s and Terje Thomsen?s three missions for a local learning centre; the mission of a broker, a meeting place and a motivator. I also use Carol Kuhlthau?s levels of mediation as an approach to investigate how the actors want the library staff to work in relation to the centre.

En attraktiv stadskärna skapar folkliv och rörelse i det offentliga rummet och fungerar som ett upplevelserum för stadens invånare, inget av detta finns idag i Söderhamns stadskärna. Befolkningsutvecklingen i Söderhamns kommun minskar med ca 220 personer per år och staden är i stort behov av en attraktiv stadskärna. Syftet med denna studie var att ta fram olika planeringsförslag till Söderhamns kommun som de kan använda sig av i utvecklingen för en attraktiv stadskärna. Två metoder användes för att ta fram olika planeringsförslag vilka var observation och innehållsanalys. I observationen användes Kevin Lynchs analysmetod samt en SWOT-analys för att bedöma vilka utvecklingsbehov Söderhamns stadskärna har.

Inslag av upplevelsebaserade utställningar, såsom museum och science Centers, i skolans verksamhet är ofta uppskattade av både lärare och elever. Utbudet av utställningar har ökat de senaste 15 åren och forskning som gjorts inom området visar att det finns brister i hur lärare använder den externa resursen som dessa utställningar utgör. Resultaten pekar på att klasserna ofta är oförberedda och att utställningsbesöket sker som en isolerad händelse som inte införlivas i det arbete som äger rum i skolan. Kunskap om hur den informella lärandemiljön i utställningen länkas samman med den formella lärandemiljön i skolan är önskvärd och detta arbete syftade till att bidra till sådan kunskap. I studien har elva lärares erfarenheter av att använda en upplevelsebaserad utställning i undervisningen undersökts genom en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ metod.

I denna uppsats undersöker jag om Reggio Emilia filosofin utgör en inspirationskälla bland pedagoger på svenska traditionella förskolor. I en jämförande textanalys mellan förskolans läroplan och Reggio Emilias filosofi framkom att förskolans läroplan är inspirerad av denna filosofi, bland annat genom införandet av pedagogisk dokumentation. Jag har intervjuat fyra pedagoger från fyra olika förskolor där inspirationen av denna filosofi har varit av olika grad. Intervjuerna är gjorda i två mellanstora städer, de tre första i Norrland och den fjärde i östra Mellansverige. Samtliga förskolor står i kontakt med ett utvecklingsCenter för förskola som i sig inspireras av filosofin från Reggio Emilia.

In today's society, consumers get in touch with hundreds of advertising messages a day from companies. It is up to the consumer to choose the messages they want to listen to and ignore the ones they want. Today, there is an advertising saturation and this has implications for both producers and consumer. Companies must be innovative and come with fresh ideas to get us consumers to pay attention to their particular message.  It is through the marketing that companies have an opportunity to spread their message.

According to The National Board of Health and Welfare, about 200 000 elderly persons get some help or support with eating or nutrition problems. This was approximately 2 percent of the population. Older people in sheltered accommodation in community care were not able to manage their own nutrition. The older people were dependent on the food that was offered to them, when and how the food was served. This was a specific responsibility for the nursing staff.

The aim of this study was to examine the experience, knowledge and attitude to mandatory reports of mistreatments amongst first line managers and assistance nurses in municipal elderly care. The following questions were at the Center of the analysis: how do the different professional groups view having to report their own organization? How can various factors affect the mandatory reporting of mistreatments? What knowledge do the different professional groups have of mistreatments and mandatory reporting? A qualitative research method was used to examine these questions in the form of semi structured interviews and a small document study. The interviews were carried out with assistance nurses and first line manages in elder care, we interviewed four respondents from both professional groups. The interviews were then transcribed and coded with help of a content analysis.

The aim of this study was to examine how the interviewed teachers in one school observe their view of gender and equality regarding the educational system.  Accordingly, I would like to present my intention with this study, also be to analyze how the interviewed teachers way of working with matters of gender and equality, carry out as a portrait of their values considering the distribution in terms of gender. The research questions are the following: What is the teachers view on the concepts of equality and gender in school?How do different teachers talk about their way of working in relation to gender and equality in school?How is boys and girls images presented in the teachers descriptions in their discussion about gender and equality?This study is based on a fundamental qualitative method, where a handful number of teacher?s from one school were interviewed in order to obtain information and data for the examination. The interviews were analyzed and discussed in association to earlier research in aspiration to study different writer?s theories about the conception of gender and equality.

Abstract Students' questions play an important role in both teaching and learning science. However, in a traditional classroom, the teacher is the Center of attention and poses questions to which students answer. The students seldom ask questions to which the teacher responds. The purpose of this paper is to examine teachers' attitudes towards student questions. This paper will also explore teachers? views on the issues related to students? questions for science education.

Volvo Construction Equipment is one of the worlds largest manufacturer of heavymachinery. In Braås, Sweden, they develop and manufacture articulated haulers inseveral sizes. The biggest, the A40, is capable of loading almost 40 metric tonnes.These haulers have a bogie to distribute the forces of the load evenly onto the two axlesand there wheels. The bogie is constructed using a rigid balance beam on each side ofthe frame connecting the axles or an independent solution using hydropneumatics.An analysis has been made in order to establish the forces created during corneringand through the theory, an estimation of the extensive tyre wear and extra fuelconsumption has been made. All due to the effects of the tyres not being inline with thecornering radius.

I en demokratisk stat finns en myndighet som ansvarar för rikets säkerhet. Efter bombningen av World Trade Center -tornen den 11 september 2001 ökade terrorhoten i världen, samtidigt ökade även säkerhetspolisens krav att skydda statens säkerhet. I kampen mot terrorister agerades det genom hårdare åtgärder. Terroristbekämpningens inflytande har påverkat även säkerhetstjänstens organisering i Norden. Syftet med uppsatsen är att granska och jämföra säkerhetspolisens verksamhet och organiseringen i den svenska och den finska säkerhetstjänsten.
