The ability to fight is, according to Swedish Armed Forces Doctrine (MilitärstrategiskDoktrin), depending upon the physical component, the conceptual component and themoral component.The purpose of this thesis is to examine in what way the Swedish doctrine is based onthe theories on war and war fighting by Sun Zi, Carl von Clausewitz, Antoine Henri deJomini and Mao Tse-tung.I have found that the Swedish doctrine is based on those theories.However, the Swedish doctrine needs to be developed in order to better explain therelation between the three components..

The purpose of this work is to develop and test a design process where quick decisions and model building has a prominent role. The goal is to develop a number of products and build prototypes to be shown during the Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies spring exhibition 2012. I?m also writing a report describing my work.To reach my goal I have each day during the first phase conducted a short research and found a concept based on that days name day. Then I have continued in the workshop and worked with three-dimensional models.

This report describes the bachelor degree project called ?A case study in strategic product design in collaboration with Elfa? carried out by Mathieu Gustafsson and Pär Rickberg,students at Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies.We had the opportunity to do our degree project in collaboration with ELFA after a previous school project where we made suggestions for new products. Initially the brief was to develop new products for the company which was based on previous proposals.Reasoning led us in to design strategies and how to use such a strategy to develop newproducts for ELFA. During our first superficial analysis of ELFA and its current products, we found that we wanted to recast the framework of identity and context in which the product would be created. According to the researches made by SVID (The Swedish Industrial Design Foundation),companies that continually are working with design strategies strengthens the brand, its competitiveness and become more innovative.

During spring 2005 I, Hanna Brogård, undertook my bachelor degree project in furniture design. The supervisors were Glenn Henningsson at Njudex in Vrigstad and Leó Jóhannson, teacher and examiner at Carl Malmsten CTD in Stockholm.The project was based on three elements:Design concept for upholstered furnitureCooperate together with a sofa producer for professional supervision and to learn more about industrial production and upholstery techniqueLearn more about furniture history of styleI contacted a sofa producer called Njudex, in the province of Småland, who became my work partner during this project. Eclecticism is the name of the furniture styles that became popular during the mid-nineteenth century. It develops from a new, rich society class arisen from industry and trade. The trend is based on the escape from reality to dreams of foreign countries, past centuries and nature.

Denna uppsats studerar och analyserar samspelet mellan utrikesminister Carl Bildt och journalisterna i tre medialt uppmärksammade intervjuer samt undersöker vilka strategier parterna nyttjar i dessa.I bakgrunden till uppsatsen presenteras begreppet politikens medialisering som är den process som förklarar varför journalistik och politik är så starkt beroende av varandra idag. Dessutom berörs ämnena medieträning och intervjuteknik.Uppsatsens teoretiska ram utgår från forskningsteorier om den journalistiska intervjun. Här redogörs för vilka normer och förväntningar som finns på en journalist och en politiker, när det gäller till exempel asymmetrisk turtagning och de diskursiva roller parterna intar. Teorierna berör intervjun som form för granskning, institutionaliserad interaktion, maktrelation och teamframträdande.Materialet som studeras är tre stycken intervjuer med Carl Bildt. I den första intervjuas han av Ulf Kristofferson för TV4 Nyheterna.

This 15 point thesis is carried out at Saab Dynamics AB in Karlskoga. The company produces defense material aimed at the Swedish market and for export.The task was to make a survey of the current zeroing procedure for Sub Caliber Adapter for 84 mm recoilless rifle Carl Gustaf, and to examine the accuracy of the tools used today for zeroing.Measurements performed show that some of the tools has good accuracy for zeroing of Sub Caliber Adapter 20 mm withe other tools are not so good. The accuracy for zeroing of Sub Caliber Adapter 7.62 mm is not sufficientWith a suitable design it is possible to produce tools with good accuracy for zeroing of Sub Caliber Adapters..

Rapporten beskriver examensarbetet Gamla idéer med nya lösningar utfört av Erik Björk,avgångsstudent från utbildningsprogrammet möbeldesign vid Carl Malmsten Centrum förTräteknik & Design vid Linköpings universitet. Examensarbetet är genomfört i samarbete medIKEA of Sweden.Syftet med det designuppdrag som jag har genomfört i samband med examensarbetet har varit attta fram fyra möbler utifrån givna förutsättningar i 7 olika möbelfabriker, som alla arbetar medmassivt trä som råvara. Utifrån dessa förutsättningar skulle jag dels skapa produkter somtillvaratar materialets unika egenskaper och därigenom ej är möjliga att imitera i andra material.Dels ge produkterna originalitet och personlighet genom att utforska den skandinaviskaidentiteten och mitt egna ursprung samt kommunicera detta genom produkterna. Var produktskall ha en historia att berätta.Att ta fram fyra möbler parallellt under 10 veckor har varit en utmaning. Stundvis har det käntssom att en produkt hade varit nog men i efterhand är jag glad att det var fyra.

Grundidén i denna uppsats utgår från antagandet att en enskild person kan lämna kunskap om sin samtid till efterkommande generationer. This study focuses on international mediation and mediation theory. The aim of the study is to bring into light, a critique on already exsisting mediation theory and the need to oversimplify generalisations and results. This study focuses on a comparison between Richard Holbrooke and Carl Bildt, and their roles? as mediators during the war in Bosnia and Hercegovina 1995. I have deliberatly chosen two very different actors on the same case, to show that traditional belif on why the war ended is oversimplyfied and wrong.This study uses Curran, Sebenius and Watkins paper on mediation as a template in defining how to use the criterias for analyzing a mediator.

The project has been implemented in collaboration with Carl-Johan Lundberg on Deltagruppen Ltd in Jönköping. Problem introduction comes from Carl-Johan's own experience from the hotel sector. The problem that all hotels has is that they sell two products, i e. simple - and double rooms. Persons that travel in companies do not desire always to share bed.Focus in the work is to develop a product that holds together two simple beds and forms double bed, concurrent that it goes that converters to two simple bed without needing to disassemble the product and be done invisible.

This essay is about the Swedish folk and troubadour singer Fred Åkerström and particularly his interpretations of the Swedish national poet Carl Michael Bellman. With Åkerström being a socialist, he converted his beliefs into what he believed Bellman should stand for and not stand for, politically and historically and the picture he did not take kindly to is called "The bourgeoisie". And in his interpretations of Bellman Åkerström used his deep bass voice and singing with maximum potential that earned him the nickname "Carl Michael Decibelman" along with a trio he created called Trio CMB. This essay examines the debate that arose in connection to the sale of Carl Larsson?s monumental painting Midvinterblot in 1987. My main purpose is to examine which meanings the debaters ascribed Midvinterblot and in which way the debate influenced the paintings significance as cultural heritage. I will therefore argue that the debate initiated a renegotitation of the paintings meaning as cultural heritage. In the debate the debaters emphasized the National Museum?s responsibility over cultural heritage, Midvinterblots aestethic, the paintings economic value and its national implications.
