Vad har de för kunskaper, förväntningar och behov? Stora webbplatser innehåller mycket information och denna information måste struktureras för att folk enkelt skall kunna hitta den information de söker. Region Skåne lanserade år 2005 Vårdgivarwebben. En webbplats med syfte att förse alla vårdgivare i regionen med gemensam hälso- och sjukvårdsrelaterad information. Webbplatsen innehåller ett rikt och varierat informationsmaterial.

Sanningskommissioner är organ som har använts i länder efter inbördes kriser för att göra upp med det förflutna, men som inte har juridisk makt. En sanningskommission kan ses som ett led i en demokratiseringsprocess och är således ett steg på vägen till konsoliderad demokrati.Vi har gjort en komparativ studie mellan Argentina och El Salvador, eftersom båda dessa länder har använt sig av varsin sanningskommission. Resultatet av kommissionernas arbete fick olika följder i de båda länderna. I Argentina har man gått vidare till domstol medan man i El Salvador tillämpar en amnestilag. Denna skillnad beror bla.

Denna uppsats är en fallstudie som behandlar de medlingsförsök som gjorts i konflikten i Liberia. Syftet är att med hjälp av olika teorier om medling hitta förklaringar till varför medlingen misslyckats. Vår huvudsakliga frågeställning är varför de otaliga försöken att medla till en konfliktlösning inte har lyckats? Vi ser även på hur andra internationella och regionala aktörer som FN, ECOWAS och USA har påverkat fredsavtalen.Vårt resultat visar på att det internationella samfundets med USA och FN i spetsen inte varit speciellt aktiva i konfliktens tidiga skede. Detta har lett till att ingen tillräcklig press har satts på parterna i förhandlingarna och avtalen därför har misslyckats.

The aim of the thesis is to examine how central collective actors in the Swedish subsystem of renewable fuels use their positions of power and influence to their own specific interests and needs. In particular the thesis looks at the problems of climate change and oil scarcity and how renewable fuels are described as a potential solution. Using agenda setting theory and Steven Lukes three dimensions of power as a framework, five actors are examined and analysed. The study has been done in two parts. In the first part policy documents are analysed concerning the actors general stance towards renewable fuels, and how this is communicated to the media, politicians and public.

In this paper I argue that the development of innovation ideas within the financial system of scientific research might have a counterpart within the financial system of the social sciences and the arts. The ideas of innovation share a common way to evaluate science in terms of how well it can contribute to economic growth. In the past two decades a similar development can be observed within Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ), one of the largest external financiers of the social sciences and the arts in Sweden. The idea of evaluating research used by the innovation ideas has grown popular within RJ, only it seems they evaluate research in terms of how well it fits into an international research community rather than how much it can contribute to economic growth as is the case within the innovation ideas. By examining the different ways of financing research that RJ has used during the last 2 decades, this paper aims to introduce a new perspective in which it is possible to understand the development within this type research funding as a part of a bigger system of development..

Hinder och möjligheter i kommunikationen mellan Lunds universitet och rikstäckande dagspress.Lunds universitet är Sveriges största universitet med ca 6 000 anställda och 40 000 studenter och bedriver utbildning på flera olika orter. Man kommunicerar med en rad olika målgrupper, varav en av de viktigaste externa målgrupperna är journalister inom radio, tv och dagspress. Sammanfattningsvis ställer detta mycket stora krav på kommunikationsarbetet och det gäller därför att optimera sin publicitet.Under hösten planerar Lunds universitet att utveckla sin presskommunikation och vårt uppdrag är ett led i detta utvecklingsarbete. Our essay focuses on media's coverage on the topic of overweight. We investigated how media portrays the picture of the ideal body and person and how the overweight person deviate from those pictures. We also tried to uncover how the media addresses specific types of subjects which we interpret to represent the normative way of being. From the way media presents their message we distinguished which subjects are being excluded. For this work we studied articles from the daily newspaper called Aftonbladet and a lifestyle magazine for women called Må Bra.

This master´s thesis is a comparative study of the importance of eight factors suggested in the literature to be related to the perceived utility of the service Book a librarian (Swe. Boka en bibliotekarie). Disciplinary differences were also analysed. 73 encounters between students and librarians in 11 Swedish academic libraries were studied using a survey. Six factors were significantly related (at the .05 level) to the utility of the service.

This thesis highlights the complex relationship between social movements and the mass media. The new social movements really have to struggle to get access to the media sphere, often enforced to use spectacular media strategies, and at the same time maintain their political messages. This struggle gives us reason to question the liberal notion of the media as a neutral arena for political communication and debate. In fact we argue that the media industry should be seen as a powerful actor and that the mass media serves to maintain and enforce an ideology that serves the political and economic elites in the liberal capitalist democracy. Death can be seen as a sensitive subject and can by that be difficult for many people to talk about. Working as a nurse can imply caring for severe ill and dying patients, which can be regarded as a task that makes great demands. The aim of the present literature review is to illustrate nurses' experiences of problems in association with the care of dying patients to be aware of these. Nine scientific articles were analysed and the result showed that the problems the nurses experienced could be related to four different categories: problems related to organisa-tion/resources, to the nurse herself, to the patient and to family members. The literature review also illustrates consequences of these problems for nurses, and which components that could simplify the nursing care of dying patients..

This thesis aims to explain the emergence of the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union, and its institutional shaping, by using elements of Neofunctionalism and Liberal Intergovernmentalism.Using Neofunctionalism, the Common Foreign and Security Policy can be explained both as a side-effect of Europe's economic integration, and as a way to maintain the former and the European Union's position as an economic superpower. The institutional shaping is a result of lack of convergence between important national interests. Therefore it rests on a firm intergovernmental base, with rigorously limited use of supranational decision-making.For Liberal Intergovernmentalism, geopolitics and ideology, and to a certain level log-rolling, have played important roles. The reunification of Germany convinced France to form an alliance between the two countries. France, determined to achieve an economic and monetary union, thus offered Germany a political union, including a Common Foreign and Security Policy on intergovernmental terms.

Problem/ Bakgrund: Problemformuleringen grundar sig i en nyfikenhet över varför ungdomar inte sover på natten eftersom de sms:ar. Mitt intresse för Meads teori om jagets utveckling gör att undersökningens fokus ligger på hur självbild och identitet är kopplat till ungdomarnas sms:ande.Syfte: Att få större förståelse för hur ungdomars identitetsskapande kan ske genom sms.Kort beskrivning av uppsatsens utgångspunkter och undersökningens upplägg: Arbetet behandlar sms-kommunikation. Det empiriska materialet består av intervjuer med nio ungdomar i åldern 16-17 år. Teoriramen bygger på Goffmans analys om självpresentation, samt Meads syn på jaget och identitet.Slutsatser/ Resultat: Det gäller att vara käck och rolig i sina sms för att få ett snabbt svar, och därmed få den bekräftelse som många känner sig beroende av. Ungdomarna kan vara djärvare i sina sms.
