This paper presents a project and literature overview about how risk management and quality sometimes goes hand in hand and sometimes in two different directions. Meaning that the risk management can affect product or process quality differently depending on what risks an organisation chooses to control.The purpose with this paper is to get a deeper understanding about how risk and quality works together with IT-support and therefore we have been actively participating in a project with a risk management company called Zert. A literature study and a qualitative interview study have also been undertaken to see what the customers and the other researchers have written, to be able to make proper conclusions on the subject.To easily work together and get the information that was needed, four methods where used. Besides the qualitative interview and literature study the think-out-loud, card sorting and a variation on the extreme programming method where used to help visualize and improve communication both with Zert, the costumers and among ourselves.Zert is a risk management company that helps other organisations to control their different types of risks that they might be taking, by offering a system where the risk management process is held and providing consulting services by helping within the processes. Both Zert and their customers see the communication, knowledge and teamwork as something important as well as the quality within the work, processes and the end result.

The main purpose of a Flight Data Recorder (FDR) is to facilitate the investigation of incidents. In order to interpret the data that has been recorded in the FDR the data has to be visualized in some way. This can be done with software on a computer or with hardware that is specific for the model of aircraft that the data originates from.The aim of this project is to visualize data for six parameters from the FDR of Saab 2000 in an avionics rig. The avionics rig resembles the cockpit of Saab 2000 and the displays in it are identical to the ones found in the plane. All six parameters are shown on the same display.Due to safety regulation vital systems in aircraft are doubled, with one system on the left side and one on the right.

The authors mission was to make an analysis in order to examine whether an investment of carwashes are lucrative enough for Vetlanda Vägkrog AB.Aim: The study's main objective was to analyze the profitability of an investment in a self-service car wash facility at Vetlanda Vägkrog AB, based on given data. The authors sub-aim was to clarify which factors in general that had played the greatest part in the establishment of a self-service car wash facility.Method: The authors have used an abductive approach in order to fulfill the aim of the study.

Vehicle simulators are becoming more common in vehicle industries. Company earns lot of money on simulations instead of real tests. Real tests are necessary but not made so extensively as before.In this thesis the building of an vehice simulator will be described and a comparison between three different cruise controls. The three cruise controls are PI-regulator, a regulator who regulates after positions in the terrain and a MPC-regulator. The reason for choosing this three is to see the difference between simple regulation and more complex regulation with respect to fuel consumption, travel time and complexity.The vehicle simulator is made in Matlab/Simulink, Visual Studio and Open Scene Graph.

Denna rapport behandlar ett examensarbete med målet att hitta en paketering för resursövervakning i nätverk (NPMD - Network Performance Monitoring & Diagnostics) samt centraliserad logghantering (SIEM - Security Information & Event Management).Arbetet har utförts över fem veckor och bestod av att undersöka vilka produkter som kan vara möjliga att leverera till Ateas kunder genom att ta fram förslag på produkter och sedan utvärdera dessa i en virtuell testmiljö.Efter att två veckor av arbetet passerat beslutades att enbart SIEM-produkter skall utvärderas då vi annars inte kunnat hålla tidsramen på fem veckor. De första två veckorna bestod mestadels av efterforskning av olika produkter baserat på ett antal kriterier.Applikationen ska:? Stödja mallar och regler för Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)? Stödja korrelering av händelser? Ej vara open source eller en hårdvarulösningUnder resterande tre veckor installerades, konfigurerades och utvärderades de produkter som var intressanta för ändamålet. Utvärderingen av produkternas funktioner och egenskaper utfördes i en virtuella miljö. Resultatet av testerna är ett dokument som innehåller information om varje produkts förmågor samt betyg på varje produkt.

The theme of this essay is the principle of free access to the Swedish Public Libraries, and its aim is to fmd out the opinion of adult visitors of such libraries as regards the introduction of fees on the borrowing of books, already existing fees such as reservation fees, charges for interlibrary loans and charges for the late return of books.The main part of our survey comprises questionnaires that were handed out to 100 visitors at the Norrkoping City Library and 100 visitors at the Eskilstuna City and Provincial Library. In order to illustrate the fee problem from another angle, interviews with staff people from the two libraries were carried out A large part of the essay consists of material aiming to give a general picture of the subject, e.g. how the "free of charge principle" is tied to the Swedish library system, what arguments have been presented to maintain or reverse this principle, and a comparison of the relative situation in other countries. As the conception of popular education is so basic for the "free of charge principle", we also account for the idea of popular education.The result of our questionnaire shows, among other things, that 60,9% cannot consider paying for any of the free services offer by the libraries today, 21,3% answered that they could possibly consider paying for some of the services and 17,8% answered that they didn't know. 76% would rather pay for a library card than stop borrowing books altogether..

För att mot-svara dessa krav startades inom Försvarsmakten Projekt Resultatredovisning, Projekt Rv, som hade till uppgift att utarbeta en ny modell för verksamhetsledning. Projekt Rv resulterade i Handbok för styrning, värdering, analys och redovisning av Försvarsmaktens verksamhet, H SVAR.Samtidigt som Projekt Rv genomfördes presenterades en modell för verksamhetsledning i USA som benämndes Balanced Scorecard. Den byggde på principen att uppföljning och styr-ning skulle ske mot organisationens vision. Mått för att följa upp detta skulle balanseras inom fyra områden: finansiellt-, kund-, process- och lärandefokus.

Since the global financial crisis and the subsequent recession in 2008, the criticism has reached even higher levels. Various regulatory authorities as well as influential external actors require stronger regulations and limitation of the monetary compensation in publicly held companies. Share-based payments are based on the development of the market value of the company. This means there is an existing relation between the owners? and the managers? interests.

Intensivvårds- och Anestesikliniken på ett sjukhus i södra Sverige införde år 2005 respektive 2007 ett vårdutvecklingsprojekt, Tool for interactive learning and daily assistance (TILDA), inom ramen för nätbaserat lärande. Via TILDA kan medarbetare erhålla kompetenskort för medicinteknisk apparatur. Syftet med aktuell studie var att kartlägga olika faktorer som påverkar varför sjuksköterskor tar respektive inte tar medicintekniska kompetenskort via TILDA samt att undersöka sjuksköterskornas inställning till att arbeta med medicintekniska kompetenskort via TILDA. Studien var en deskriptiv tvärsnittstudie och mätinstrumenten var enkäter. Dataanalys utfördes med hjälp av statistik programmet SPSS och kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

This report is part of the major thesis carried out at Stoneridge Electronics in Bromma,Stockholm during autumn and winter 2005-2006. The background to the thesis is the trendwithin the automotive industry where color displays have become more common for presentationof information to the driver, a trend that has come to the commercial vehicle market. Thepurpose of the thesis has been to evaluate whether programmable logic, with respect to FPGAtechnology, could be suitable for display control and graphics generation of these more complexcolor displays in automotive environment.Within the scope of the thesis the FPGA technology has been investigated, i.e. whatopportunities and threats there are with aspect to environmental and security requirements. Inaddition, the market of FPGAs and pre-built IP-cores has been investigated.

En fas med 6deltagare som deltog i användbarhetstest, kortsortering ochsvarade på enkätfrågor. Sista fasen utgörs av analys avresultatet samt produktion av designförslag. The idea to develop  a platform for a PID-controller came from the need to control the temperature in  an espresso machine in a more exact way than a thermostat could perform. In discussions with Syntronic AB the idea developed into PID-control for industrial use. Syntronic AB suggested that the platform should be based on a commercially available processor module to shorten the development time. The suggestion included the use of the microcomputer Raspberry Pi, which supports USB, HDMI, memory card and Ethernet.The work began with establishing a schedule for the 10 weeks of the projects duration, and after that a system specification listing all functions, implementation and limitations was made. When the foundation of the system specification was done, a preliminary system design took shape.Because of the Raspberry Pi´s lack of Analog-to-Digital converter, a circuit board containing Wheatstone bridges, differential amplifiers and a two channel Analog-to-Digital converter was fabricated.

An experimental design was used in which 40 participants were randomly assigned to two groups, one of which was the experimental group and the other was the control group. A mirror was used in the experimental group to induce public self-consciousness among the participants while they performed creativity tests. A consequence test was used where the participant had to give suggestions for the given scenario "What would happen if everyone became blind?" which was then measured in the number of proposals (fluency).
