Landstillhörighetens inverkan på skuldsättningsgraden : En jämförande studie över företagsekonomiska faktorer och dess effekt på skuldsättningsgraden i nordiska länder

Varje företag behöver ta ställning till val av kapitalstruktur där olika finansieringsmöjligheter finns att tillgå. Det förekommer flertalet faktorer som kan påverka företagets skuldsättningsgrad vilket kan skilja sig åt mellan olika länder. Valet av kapitalstruktur har sedan länge varit ett omdebatterat ämne där resultaten förändras över tid och är beroende av vald metod samt urval. Denna studie kommer att studera de företagsekonomiska faktorerna lönsamhet, tillväxt, företagsstorlek och tillgångsstruktur vilka är de mest frekvent använda variablerna för att studera förhållandet till ett företags belåningsgrad. Kapitalstruktur kan förklaras utifrån flera teorier som delvis motsäger varandra vilket leder till att vi kommer utgå från teorin av Modigliani och Miller, pecking order-teorin, trade-off teorin samt agentteorin för att förklara variablernas effekt på skuldsättningsgraden.

Food insecurity is a great problem worldwide and Ethiopia is one of the sub-saharan countries that are suffering from poverty and food insecurity and a large part of the population are living in a state of undernourishment. To reduce these problems, a successful horticulture production can be an important factor. Compared to other crops, fruit production in Ethiopia has not been a large part of the agricultural sector. However, the demand on the domestic market is increasing as well as the production for avocado and mango. To increase food security it is important to focus on ways to decrease post-harvest losses of food products and not only have the productivity of agriculture in focus.

Diskussioner förs ofta huruvida ett företags redovisning ger en rättvisande bild eller inte. Sedan år 2005 värderas goodwill efter en redovisningsmetod som grundar sig på att tillgångar ska redovisas till verkligt värde, vilket är en förändring från den tidigare metoden där tillgångar skulle värderas efter försiktighetsprincipen. Detta har medfört att företagen ska göra årliga nedskrivningsprövningar istället för planenliga avskrivningar, en förändring som ger företagen ett spelutrymme till att agera utefter egna preferenser.Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva huruvida svenska företag noterade på OMX Stockholm Large Cap år 2013 använder en diskonteringsränta, vid nedskrivningsprövning av goodwill, som skiljer sig från en extern uppskattning.Vidare åsyftas att förklara huruvida företagens känslighet för en goodwillnedskrivning har ett samband med eventuella skillnader. Om denna studie påvisar att skillnader finns, är syftet att förklara huruvida företagen agerar opportunistiskt vid användandet av diskonteringsräntan.Utifrån dessa delsyften är det huvudsakliga syftet att beskriva och förklara huruvida företagen använder det spelutrymme som nedskrivningsprövningarna tillåter och hur detta kan påverka företagens intressenter.Studien har genomförts utifrån en kvantitativ metod, där empirin grundar sig på numeriska siffror. Vidare har beräkningar gjorts för att sedan sammanställa data i tabeller och diagram.
