The city of Uppsala and its surroundings are a very expansive area. A prerequisite for a sustainable development of the area is well-functioning supply of drinking water. In Uppsala municipality, the Uppsala esker and Vattholma esker are the groundwater storages for drinking water. Besides the eskers, other sources of qualitative groundwater in the Uppsala municipality are relatively poor and more than half of the area consists of ground conditions with a risk of saline groundwater. The neighbourhood of Vreta-Ytternäs is situated 10 km south of Uppsala, in the area with risk of saline groundwater but outside the municipal water supply.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the schools? pupils have the capacity to understand societal change through social consciousness. In order to investigate that a theory has been developed specifying what social consciousness means and how it is used. The theory has been used as a tool in an ideology critical analysis of the steering documents on which the schools? work is based.

The aim of this study was to evaluate whether gallop training, rather than regular drive training, is worthwhile for trotters race performance. Another aim of the study was to expand the author?s riding- and driving capacity, and get more practical experience on the impact of interval training on trotters. The sample population in the study was two trotters, one Standardbred, and one cold-blood. Given the small sample population, the results of the study is only indicative on the effects of gallop training on trotters, and not conclusive.

This essay is about the sexual- education at special schools for young people in the ages thirteen through sixteen with the diagnosis autism. The study aims to identify, describe and understand the teachers? experiences in how the education is practiced in their daily work with these children. The way of procedure we have used in the study is qualitative interviews with teachers at special schools. The result show that how the teachers practice the education depends on how the student group is constructed and the students? qualifications.

The corn plant came to Europe with Christopher Columbus in the 14th century and have ever since bin cropped here, but corn haven?t bin very common in Scandinavia until recently. The mainly use for this crop silage but even corn for grain is cropped in Europe. Corn for grain is a common part of feed in beef and chicken farming. In Sweden corn for grain is pretty rare but almost 1000 hectares are used for this crop, Lantmännen Sverige is the biggest buyer of corn at the moment.

Vilka normer och värderingar kan bli dominerande från personalens sida när oenighet uppstår mellan personal och den enskilde om vad som ska bestämmas för henom?Det viktigaste resultatet från denna studie är att personalen upplever en svårighet i att den enskilde ska bestämma själv och samtidigt få stöd och hjälp..

We have the tradition in Sweden to build villas and houses with a wooden framework. It has become natural for us because we have so much forest in our country. Building with wood has advantages, it is easy to process, but also disadvantages, as it is sensitive to moisture.Finland has long made use of the thermal blocks to build villas. It is a type of bricks that are a bit like a sandwich element, with a core of EPS and concrete on both sides of the core material. The concrete is hollow, so that after the walls has been bricked up you pour concrete into the hollow bricks.The issue of this report is to find out if concrete can be an alternative to wood as framework material in villas.

Syften med studien var att undersöka hur vårdgivare definierar en ätstörning, hur de anser ortorexi skilja sig från andra ätstörningar, vilka faktorer de anser kan leda till ortorexi och vilka behandlingsmetoder som används för ortorexi. Studien gjordes med en kvalitativ metod på fem vårdgivare från olika behandlingscenter. En intervjuguide baserad på Theory of Planned Behavior (Ajzen, 2005) och Self-Determination Theory (Deci & Ryan, 1985) användes. Resultatet visade att ortorektiker har tvångsmässiga tankar att äta rätt och ren kost och att det finns flera underliggande faktorer till att en individ drabbas av ortorexi som tillexempel låg självkänsla, tidigare psykiska trauman eller omgivningen. Behandlingen anpassas till den enskilda individen med flera olika behandlingsmetoder och sker antingen individuellt eller i grupp.

Detta examensarbete handlar om elevers motivation till skönlitterär läsning. Tio elever i år 2 och tio elever i år 5 har svarat på en enkät gällande läsvanor och attityder till läsning. De resultat som den empiriska studien gett fungerar sedan som ett diskussionsunderlag kopplat till den teoretiska bakgrund som ges. Teorin om självbestämmande används som utgångspunkt och resultatet kopplas till inre och yttre typer av motivation. Inre motivation är då individen har ett genuint intresse för något. Yttre motivation är då individen drivs av någon extern belöning. Såväl psykologiska som ekonomiska och sociala förklaringar har getts till varför det är viktigt med motiverade anställda och hur motivation kan skapas.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att få en djupare förståelse för vilka faktorer som kan ligga bakom en fysisk aktiv livsstil och en fysisk inaktiv livsstil och att öka förståelsen för varför vissa människor känner sig mer motiverade till att behålla ett hälsosamt beteende och andra inte. I studien deltog sex kvinnor där tre av dem hade en fysiskt aktiv livsstil och tre av dem hade en fysiskt inaktiv livsstil. De sex kvinnorna intervjuades med hjälp av en intervjuguide som baserades på teoriernaHealth Belief Model, Self-determination Theory, Social Cognitive Theory och tidigare forskning. Materialet analyserades genom en tematisk innehållsanalys.
