I detta arbete har jag studerat automatisk klassifikation av texter i syfte att sortera dem i grupper om liknande innehåll. Texterna jämfördes med varandra och om de uppvisade tillräckligt hög innehållsmässig överensstämmelse läggs de i samma kluster. Den metod som jag har studerat, heuristisk klustergenerering, syftar till att sortera texter utan förkunskap om deras innehåll. Vid klassifikationen används orden i texterna, vilka avspeglar innehållet i texterna. Då är det intressant att studera vilka egenskaper orden har som kan utnyttjas vid klassifikationen av texterna.

This study is about howStockholm?s policy for zero tolerance of graffiti from 2007 affected the graffiti culture inStockholm. We have researched what consequences there were for the practice of graffiti, and what consequences there were for the stylistic performance of graffiti. In doing so, we have had two focus group interviews and one deep interview including eight graffiti writers from Stockholm. The individuals in the groups have been practising graffiti for a varied amount of time, but we have representation from both before, and after/during the policy of zero tolerance from 2007. Our study shows that the result ofStockholm?s policy for zero tolerance of graffiti for the graffiti culture inStockholmwas a ?subcultureification?, a ?stylistic generalization? and the ?subculture?s ambivalent identity?.

This thesis provides a descriptive study from a pedagogic perspective that analyzesobjectives, directives and content related to the social science core class, SAMSAM01b, atGothenburg public high schools. The purpose is to further explore the role of education inrelation to global development and international relations. The study is built aroundcurriculum representation and course implementation of three aspects considered importantfor global development and knowledge of the operating environment: critical thinking,international cooperation and sustainable development. Knowledge theory and likemindedideas of what constitutes a good education form the core of the study?s theoreticalperspective.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the conceptualisation of the social relations of class and gender within the Social Democratic Women?s Association during the period 1972 ? 1993, on the basis of their programmes for action. The analysis of the concepts is based on an ideology critical study focusing on the manifest ideology.The study is based upon the theoretical concepts of class and gender,  The class analysis is based upon the broadened concepts of class by Erik Olin Wright and Ira Katznelson. The gender analysis is mainly based upon a Marxist understanding and a critical point of view of Marxism and feminism in the context of patriarchy and capitalism.The period of the study is where the social democracy is challenged, both by radical socialism and feminist ideology and the economic crisis during the 1980?s, as well as the possible threat of an organised women?s party in Sweden.

The meeting industry is a growing industry around the world, and the technological development in recent decades is one of the contributing factors to the increased travel opportunities and meeting industry's expansion. It can be assumed that the technology could replace some of the personal meetings, but humans have always had a need to meet in physical locations in work related purposes, therefore there is no evidence that personal meetings will disappear. Technological development should be seen as complementary rather than a substitute to the existing professional meetings. Public and private sectors within countries has drawn attention to meeting industry's potential, as favored destinations in terms of economic administration, image creation, expansion and acquisition of further market share in the global market. Meeting industry is complex precisely because there are so many different actors and stakeholders that integrate.

The new cataloging code Resource Description and Access (RDA) provides a system of instructions for recording relationships between related resources by means of a controlled vocabulary of relationship designators. The purpose of this two years master?s thesis in Archive, Library and Museum studies is to examine the construction of this system, as well as its theoretical foundation. One theoretical point of departure is the necessity of operational definitions for consistent identification of bibliographic relationships. Another such point of departure is that the theoretical model on which RDA is based (the FRBR model) is not a complete description of the biblio­graphic universe, but merely a limited representation of a set of assumptions about that universe.The thesis first examines Barbara B.

Vår studie har haft som syfte att undersöka hur några elever i år 8 multimodalt designar sin förståelse av utvalda kunskapsområden, med koppling till kursplanerna för Engelska och Moderna språk, genom sin produktion av digitala bildspel. Vi har frågat oss: Hur sorterar och bearbetar eleverna information från olika medier? Hur designar eleverna ett eget kommunikativt innehåll och hur använder de olika semiotiska modaliteter i sin representation av detta? Vilka tecken på lärande kan vi finna hos eleverna genom att studera deras visuella representationer och genom att analysera deras intervjusvar? För att få svar på våra forskningsfrågor har vi analyserat och tolkat elevers bruk av semiotiska modaliteter såsom skrift, bild och layout i samband med designen av bildspel. Vi har även genomfört intervjuer med de flesta av deltagarna. Vår studie visar att dessa elevgrupper använt en mängd resurser för att multimodalt designa sitt lärande.

Traditional retouching, where you make the body of a female model in a magazine thinner, has been common for a long time and is well known. Several studies indicates that showing ultra-thin images of female bodies in media can lower the body satisfaction of ?ordinary? women which in some cases can lead to dangerous eating disorders. But in 2010 Swedish female magazine VeckoRevyn introduced a new type of retouching: Making some catwalk models bodies bigger instead, which we decided to call opposite retouching. This kind of retouching is aiming to widen the ideal picture that is sent out of how the female body should look like, and therefore having the readers reach a higher body satisfaction and becoming more at peace with the own body.

Syfte/problemställningar: Att med en kvalitativ undersökning studera om det tydligt via text och bild går att urskilja några globala och kulturella influenser i utvalda reportage från magasinet Elle Decoration, från fem olika länder. Vi studerar även skiljelinjerna mellan vad som är privat och vad som är offentligt genom framställningen av hemmet och dess inredning. Teori: Birgit Öbergs kulturperspektiv, John Tomlinsons globaliseringsperspektiv, Anja Hirdman, Madeleine Kleberg och Kristina Widestedts teorier kring intimiseringen av journalistiken och Jürgen Habermas offentlighetsteori. Metod: Semiotisk bildanalys och textuell diskursanalys. Resultat och slutsats: Via undersökningen har vi kommit fram till att det globala kan ses som ett nytt ideal inom heminredning där en gemensam underliggande mall ligger till grund för hemmens utformning och framställning.

Introduction: Suicide is a major public health problem both internationally and in Sweden. Itis known in research that sex and gender have a bearing on the incidence of suicide andattempted suicide. Gender Bias in medical research could lead to medical errors and to thatthe problem is made invisible. That is why it is important to identify and eliminate them. AimThe purpose of this paper was to examine whether there is gender bias in scientific articlesdealing with suicide prevention interventions and how this is expressed.

Uppsatsens syfte är att studera kriget i Kongo ur ett beroendeperspektiv. Inblandade parter beskylls för att bedriva en illegal handel med kongolesiska naturresurser. En av förutsättningarna för fortsatt handel kan vara att kriget fortgår och därmed ytterligare försvagar den kongolesiska staten. Jag har valt att studera tre olika områden: statens oberoende, utländsk intervention i Kongo och den påstådda handeln. Beroendeteori och interdependens har använts vid studien och det finns tecken på att det har skapats beroendeförhållanden mellan de deltagande aktörerna.

Denna undersökning berör de genuskonstruktioner som finns i skapandet av actionhjältinnor. Jag har valt att undersöka Salt (2010) Sucker Punch (2011) samt Resident Evil:Retribution (2012) Undersökningens frågeställningar är,Hur motiveras användande av våld då det utförs av kvinnliga actionhjältinnor?Vilka arketyper går att urskilja i representationerna av kvinnliga actionhjältinnors våldsutövande?Vilka symboler går att urskilja i kvinnliga actionhjältinnors utövande av våld?Min undersökning grundar sig i teorier om genus med utgångspunkt i Raewyn Connel, för att vidare knyta det samman till Stuart Halls representationsteorier samt stereotypifiering. Teoriavsnittet avslutas sedan med kvinnlig medieforskning från Liesbeth Van Zoonen samt Laura Mulvey. Min tidigare forskning grundar sig i en förklaring till hur den manlige hjälten genom tiden har representeras och vad som a?r representativt fo?r denne.

Var tionde person har en defekt som gör att de inte upplever färger som andra. Denna defekt kallas för färgblindhet. Forskningen om färgblindhet har främst fokuserats kring de fysiologiska aspekterna av färgblindheten samt vilka våglängder av ljus (färger) som färgblinda förväxlar. Hur färgblinda upplever färger har sällan, eller aldrig, studerats särskilt ingående.Denna studie fokuseras på hur färgblinda upplever färger, genom att b l a undersöka hur färgblinda kategoriserar färger och använder färgbegrepp. Studien har genomförts utifrån olika teorier om människans upplevelser, begreppsvärld och sätt att kategorisera olika typer av information (här färginformation).

A Queer Reading of Charles Bukowski?s Women and Love is a dog from hellThis thesis aims to examine how the representation of gender is portrayed in relation to sex and power in Charles Bukowski?s novel Women and poetry collection Love is a dog from hell.The theoretical frame of the analysis is based on Judith Butler?s queer theory regarding the heterosexual matrix and gender performativity. The analysis consists of a textual comparison where a specific selection of poems is analysed parallel to the novel to see how they interact and how they oppose each other, through a queer reading.The analysis is divided in three parts where the first one discusses the construction of masculinity in Charles Bukowski?s protagonist Henry Chinaski and how this is presented differently in the two literary genres. The second part reveals how sex is presented in relation to power and how active and passive women are considered as sexually acceptable.
