This report discusses developing a software log tool for analysis of industrial processes. The target was to develop software that can help electro Engineers for monitor and fault finding in industrial processes. The tool is called PLS (Process log server), and is developed in Visual Studio.NET Framework 2005. PLS works as a client with Beijer Electronics OPC Server. The program is able to read data from PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), trough the OPC Server.

This report examines the industrialization of a newly developed household machine on behalf of Technogarden Engineering Resources in Karlstad, Sweden. The report is a part of the final course in the Bachelor Program in Mechanical Engineering at Karlstad University and takes place in spring 2014.An innovator, an investor and a engineering consultant firm have through collaboration developed a new type of gruel machine. The product is in its final stage of construction and is planned to be manufactured in a production located in Sweden, autumn of 2014.To compete against today?s trend in outsourcing manufacturing to low cost countries for better profitability, the industrialization of the gruel machine must be done with a minimum amount of resources in order to become successful, which also describes the problem of this study. Using pre-study material in form of Lean production literature, visiting a successful production site and gathering data from involved engineers a specification was developed which describes what this industrialization must achieve and which requests can be accomplished.

This essay will focus on drug addicts and the world as they see it. The essay is based on intervjues with three men and one woman and participant observation of the three men´s social life in the surroundings of Stockholm. The informants? opinions and experiences are central as well as the observations made of them during an intensive fieldwork. The study which was of an exploring character has revealed a complex relationship between the informants and society.

The aim of this Master of Science Thesis is to develop guidelines and improvementsuggestions of RiNOVA Traffic AB?s dynamic speed bump. The project started with athorough pre study of the design and its function to find out how passing vehiclesaffects the dynamic speed bump. The majority part of the pre study was to createnecessary mathematical models to explain the arisen forces and strains.The results of the mathematical models gave necessary information about the designregarding weaknesses and flaws. The most critical ones where those which interferedwith the design?s performance and reliability, and therefore needed to be corrected.These problems where more thorough analysed and discussed with experts before thefinal guidelines and improvement suggestions where developed.The parts of the design that had to be redesigned were the extension springs and thebearing that enables the dynamic properties.

Christianity has for a long time played a significant role in the Swedish school system, which can be seen in the syllabus of the course religion in 2011 where Christianity got a special status and the Christian alignments were explicit named. The aim of this essay was to see whether, and if so how, Christianity and its three alignments ? Catholicism, Orthodoxy and Protestantism ? had developed a greater impact in religion textbooks for grades 7?9 adapted to Lgr 11 compared to Lpo 94 and partly to see if there had been any changes and to what extent. The main question concerned whether Christianity had a greater impact in religion textbooks adapted to Lgr 11 than Lpo 94 and how Christianity could be seen as culture-religion. The sub-questions concerned whether there was any differences in what Christianity is and to what extent Christianity were represented in religion textbooks, but also if any difference to what range the three alignments where represented. The study consisted of six religion textbooks for grades 7?9, where three were adapted to Lpo 94 and three to Lgr 11.

Under 2011 så utbröt det våldsamma oroligheter i Libyen och Syrien med många civila offer. FN:s säkerhetsråd utfärdade i mars 2011 en resolution om upprättandet av en No-Fly Zone i Libyen. Ryssland har sedan länge haft en uttalad inställning mot att stater lägger sig i andra länders inre angelägenheter. Ryssland avstod från att rösta i fallet Libyen vilket möjliggjorde en humanitär insats. Men avseende Syrien så har Ryssland använt sitt veto två gånger för att stoppa resolutioner som möjliggör en humanitär insats.Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka om Rysslands agerande kan förklaras utifrån realistisk teori inom internationella relationer.

Detta arbete behandlar internetbedrägeriers utveckling i Sverige mellan åren 2006 och 2011.Syftet med arbetet är att ge en bild av hur internetbedrägerier har utvecklats genom åren, vilka orsaker som kan ligga bakom och vilka åtgärder som kan förhindra att internetbedrägerier begås. Fokus i detta arbete ligger på privatpersoners utsatthet av internetbedrägerier, och till detta ligger Nationella trygghetsundersökningens (NTU) statistik som underlag. Frågeställningarna i detta arbete är: Hur har internetbedrägerierna utvecklats mellan åren 2006 och 2011? Vilka orsaker ligger bakom utvecklingen av internetbedrägerier? Vilket motiv använder gärningspersonerna sig av för att bedra via internet? Vilka åtgärder kan implementeras för att försvåra internetbedrägerier?För att uppnå syftet och kunna besvara frågeställningarna är arbetet baserat på en statistisk genomgång av officiell kriminalstatistik och NTU. Som ett komplement till statistiken har semi-strukturerade intervjuer med två poliser med god insyn i internetbedrägerier genomförts.

Sammanfattning Är virtuella världar sakraliserade?Virtuella är sakraliserade i jämförelse med vår sekulariserade värd och jag hade inte förväntat mig ett så stort utbud av religion i onlinespel. I och med min forskning anser jag att Final Fantasy XI och World of Warcraft i största grad är sakraliserade virtuella världar där människor världen över antar rollen som så kallade ?cyberpiligrims? och ge sig ut på ett äventyr för att upptäcka sin identitet och utforska sig själva. I spelen förekommer religiösa föreställningar och de är en plats där man kan konstruera sin andlighet liksom på övriga Internet.

This report is focusing on problems with introducing standard enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) in businesses. A study has been carried out on a service and support department at a Swedish heat metering company, SVM North Node. The study aims to help the company become a better customer in choice and customization of a new ERP system. We make a description of the department studied and the work carried out there, on the basis of learning, knowledge and cooperation. As a final point we present some ideas on how computer systems could support their work, hoping that this will result in them making adequate demands on a new ERP system.

Unlike the manufacturing industry, the construction industry is always in motion. Each new construction project brings new opportunities, and it requires a new plan, new organisation, and new suppliers. All construction projects are very different from each other and in terms of a logistical perspective, this is very weak as it makes it difficult to get a flow in the production and to make flawless routines. The way the external and internal logistics are managed, can effect the final product in the time taken to produce it, the quality of the product and the profit made from it. When internal logistics are handled poorly, it could result in materials not being at the right place at the right time, or information not going through to the right person.

With help from Hälsoteknikcentrum the need for storage of medical items in the home care section has come to our attention by an investigation that Hälsoteknikcentrum did. Facilea and the nursing stuff at Eketånga home care have developed a product specified to improve the work situation for both the nursing staffs and the patients.The trolley is equipped with a special module to make the trolley more adjustable for the recipients and the nursing staffs needs and desires. The product also collect all the care items in one place. Which gives the care patient and its relatives a possibility to gather all the medical items in one place and don?t have to put these in bookshelves etcetera.After surveys, interviews and home visits a prototype was built.

En ny fastighetsmäklarlag trädde i kraft juli 2011 (SFS 2011:666). I och med detta blev det lagligt för fastighetsmäklare att förmedla sidotjänster. Detta innebär att de vid sidan av själva förmedlingsuppdraget får erbjuda andra tjänster till kunderna. De får för sidotjänsterna ta ut en mindre summa i ersättning. Tidigare har sidotjänster ansetts som förtroenderubbande och därmed har det varit olagligt.

The purpose of the thesis is to investigate whether a higher income make individuals more likely to exceed the speed limit. In addition to income the variables age, sex, perception of the speed of the average driver and offense history for the last three years are taken into account.The method used is based on a survey performed at the mandatory annual motor-vehicle inspection (Bilprovningen). 177 individuals were asked to participate, of these, 124 completed the survey which in turn left us with 117 usable observations.The analysis is based on two forms of regression, a linear regression and an ordered logit regression to confirm the results for the ordinal data.The final model indicates a result where income and age are statistically significant. Sex is considered insignificant for our data material and is excluded from the model. Age has a negative effect on the propensity to exceed the speed limit while income has a positive effect.

Prestationsmätning är ett verktyg som syftar till att mäta hur effektivt organisationer presterar (Verweire & Van Den Berghe 2004). Det fastställer och visar på organisationers förmåga att åstadkomma sina mål (Sinclair & Zairi 1995). Samtidigt som prestationsmätning är positivt utifrån flera aspekter, medför det även problem (Eisenkopf 2009). Därmed är det viktigt att bilda sig en uppfattning om vilka för- och nackdelar som prestationsmätning eventuellt kan innebära.Avhandlingen är en fallstudie som genomförts på uppdrag av Scania, vars mät- och logistikavdelning UTPM i Södertälje övervägde implementering av prestationsmätning och önskade därmed få kännedom om vilka för- och nackdelar det eventuellt kunde medföra. I och med det avsåg studien att framställa verksamhetsspecifika prestationsmått för avdelningen och reflektera kring potentiella för- och nackdelar med anknytning till respektive prestationsmått samt prestationsmätning generellt.Processkartläggning av UTPMs processer utfördes i syftet att underlätta framställningen av prestationsmått (Damelio 2011).

New national curriculums are issued in order to change the present state of the educational system in a nation. In 2011 the old curriculum, the Läroplanen för de frivilliga skolformerna (LPF94) was replaced by the Läroplan, examensmål och gymnasiegemensamma ämnen för gymnasieskola 2011 (GY11). As future teachers we are interested in how a new curriculum affects the work of teachers concerning planning, teaching and examination from the teacher?s point of view.We conducted interviews with five teachers working at upper secondary schools (16-19 year olds) in Kalmar county. Our theoretical framework is based on curriculum theory and concepts of Leonard Bernstein: framing and classification.
