The purpose of this thesis is to study the education of newly arrived 16-20 year old immigrants and how their education in the towns of Södertälje and Malmö matches up with national inquiry into the subject.The research questions in this thesis are as follow: What type of documents shape the work with newly arrived students? What's the preferred development surrounding the education of the newly arrived students nationally? What does the latest study, which is a proposed reform of the Gymnasium system, say about the education of newly arrived students?How does the local work connect with proposals of national investigations? Do the cities take responsibility for evaluating the education of newly arrived students? From arriving to graduating, what does the road to graduation look like for a newly arrived student? What is the curriculum of a newly arrived student?The methods used here are studies of investigations made primarily by Skolverket (The National Agency for Education) and Myndigheten för skolutveckling (The Agency for Development of Education), studies of local documents such as annual reports of quality and promotional material for programs at local Gymnasiums (High Schools), and interviews with local persons in charge of shaping the work with newly arrived immigrants.This thesis has not used theory as a foundation for structuring the analysis, but postmodern theory and the use of three dimensional power inspired the thesis.The conclusions made focuses on the future of the education for these teenagers at large and makes connections between the national investigations and the local work with immigration education.In order for these teenagers to be allowed to join the Swedish national Gymnasium, they need to learn Swedish, and integration seems to be an important part of learning Swedish quickly. .

Kunskap skapar förståelse, vilket leder till att man bemöter och strukturerar skoldagen på ett individuellt sätt. Det ska vara lika naturligt att kompensera miljön för barn med neuropsykiatriska symtom i grundskolan, som att kompensera ett närsynt barn med glasögon eller en hörselnedsättning med hörapparat. Jag vill ha svar på vad neuropsykiatriska symtom innebär och hur man kan strukturera och bemöta dessa barn i grundskolan.

This study aims to describe the conditions, of which some youths who live in a segregated area in Sweden, see as important for their development of an identity. The study have been conducted in a manner where we put the youths own words in focus. The youths are in charge of deciding what they regard as important for their own development of their own identity. In this study we assume certain contexts, of which we base the study. These contexts include the society, the urban districts, the school, the family, and the language.

Föreliggande studie syftar till att undersöka vilka upplevelser, känslor och tankar som föräldrar till barn i behov av särskilt stöd har i mötet med förskola/skola. Samt att undersöka hur det kan upplevas att vara förälder till ett barn i behov av särskilt stöd. Forskningen utfördes genom att intervjua 6 föräldrar som har barn med Downs syndrom, diabetes, autism, muskelsjukdom och dyslexi. Metoden som användes för att analysera intervjuerna var med hjälp av fenomenologi och hermeneutik. Resultatet visar dels att föräldrar uppskattade pedagoger som anpassade pedagogik och miljö efter barnets behov samt att pedagoger förmedlade en helhetsbild om hur barnets dag sett ut.

Katastrofer/livsavgörande händelser är något som många människor världen över drabbats av. Det är inte bara den enskilda människan som berörs utan alla påverkas. Att vara drabbad av en katastrof kan innebära både fysisk smärta och psykiskt lidande. Sjuksköterskor måste känna till eftereffekter från ett trauma och veta hur de skall bemöta dessa människor på bästa sätt. Studiens teoretiska referensram utgick från omvårdnadsteoretikern Katie Eriksson som skildrar lidandet som något unikt för den enskilda människan.

Outages in the electric grid can be costly for society. Because of this, reliability is one of the parameters used to regulate network companies. Reliability in electrical grids can be measured with SAIDI, system average interruption duration index, which for Fortum Distribution has increased in Stockholm?s distribution network (11 kV) in the early 2000?s.By using outage data for Stockholm from 2011-2013, sets of parameters to be used for reliability calculations in the network information program Tekla NIS were derived. Two different options for investment were then analysed: changing old cables with high fault frequencies, and installing automatic switching in distribution substations.

SammanfattningLäsförståelse är en komplex process där flera olika komponenter samverkar. Tidigare studier bland grundskoleelever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar visar att trots snabb och korrekt läsning har en del av dessa elever svårigheter med förståelsen av innehållet i sammanhängande texter. Syftet med denna studie är att ur ett lärarperspektiv få reda på vilken typ av skönlitteratur som gymnasieelever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar väljer och hur lärare arbetar med dessa elevers läsförståelse samt vilka svårigheter lärare möter i elevernas litteraturläsning. Metoden som används i undersökningen är kvalitativa intervjuer. Dessa intervjuer genomförs på två gymnasieskolor med fem lärare som på olika sätt möter elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar, främst elever med Asperger syndrom.Intervjuerna visar att elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar oftast väljer litteratur som har med deras intresseområde att göra, vilket också framkommer i forskningslitteraturen i denna studie. De intervjuade lärarna framhåller också att elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar, som de möter i undervisningssammanhang med litteraturläsning, har svårigheter att förstå sammanhanget i en text. Undersökningen visar att en framgångsrik arbetsmodell med elevernas läsförståelse bygger på att eleverna får läsa kortare stycken med efterföljande frågor och genomgång av textens budskap.

Copyright is a part of the intellectual property rights. This ancient occurrence became during 19th century observed by the legislation. Great economical interests and values made it necessary to create rules concerning how the exploitation would take place. Several important conventions were created during this century. For example, the Parisconvention (1883) and the Bernconvention (1886).

Bakgrund: Sömnen är ett grundläggande behov hos människan och är därför viktig att tillgodose inom sjukvården. Ändå är sömnstörningar ett vanligt problem bland patienter i sjukhusmiljö och särskilt inom intensivvården. Sömnstörningar på en intensivvårdsavdelning orsakas ofta av frekventa omvårdnadsinsatser, behandlingar, sjukdomstillstånd samt högljudd och ovan miljö. Detta kan leda till både psykiska och fysiska konsekvenser så som försämring av immunförsvar, minskad produktion av tillväxthormoner, förlängt sjukdomsförlopp, humörförändringar och upphov av IVA-syndrom. Därför är det viktigt att vårdpersonal får kunskap om hur de bäst arbetar för att främja dessa patienters sömn.

In August 2007 we went to New Zealand for a placement at Child Youth and Family Services. There our interest in Family Group Conferences (FGC) took off. FGC is not near as common in Sweden as in New Zealand. Therefore the purpose of this study was to examine how the Social Services in Helsingborg and Höör in Sweden and Belfast in Northern Ireland work with FGC. We had the privilege to go to Belfast in Northern Ireland as part of the project Insight Europe.

In this thesis I have chosen to study the use of crowdsourcing in Swedish archival institutions as well as the influence this methodic platform has on the work of modern archivists. This also raises the question whether the nature of the platform is in any way influenced by the attitude working professionals might have towards crowdsourcing as a legitimed working method. This investigation is based on case studies and interviews with archivists from select Swedish institutions and also the methodology of two now ongoing crowdsourcing projects.The theoretical framework on which this composition is based comes from the work of Gregory Asmolov and his work on crowdsourcing platforms and their functionality as tools of governing. Cultural-Historical Activity Theory (CHAT) is applied to analyze how the method of crowdsourcing is utilised by archival institutions and influenced by their daily routine in conjunction with Governmentality as the chosen way of studying how these platforms might control their users.From the results of the performed case studies, two discourses emerged based on the view on quality concerning gathered information amongst the involved subjects. The first of these discourses places it´s trust and faith in users themselves where validity is of a lesser concern than the actual availability of information through the concept of ?wisdom of the crowds?.

Bakgrund: Fibromyalgi är ett syndrom och ett kroniskt tillstånd som orsakar smärta, ömhet och stelhet i rörelseorganen. Fibromyalgi karaktäriseras också av sömnstörningar, fatigue, ångest, depression och problem med tarmfunktionerna. Syfte: Att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser av att leva med fibromyalgi och vilka copingstrategier de använder för att hantera sin situation. Metod: Litteraturstudie med deskriptiv design. Resultat: Kvinnor med fibromyalgi upplevde en oförutsägbar fluktuerande och utbredd smärta, en ständigt närvarande fatigue, stelhet samt kognitiva svårigheter.

The Swedish system of environmental quality objectives is a so-called MBO, Management By Objective and has the purpose to guide the Swedish society towards sustainable ecological development. The system involves the whole society from the parliament and the government down to individual citizens. At the regional level, it is the county administrative boards that are responsible for the work with the system of environmental objectives. At the County Administrative Board of Västmanland County, it is the environmental unit who is in charge of work with the environmental objectives and they want input for how to improve their work with the environmental objectives, both internally at the Administrative Board and externally with external parties.The main purpose and goal of the study is to present the work of four other county administrative boards regarding their work with the environmental quality objectives and to identify external parties? opinions of how they want the County Board of Västmanland county to work with them in this matter.The work is designed as a case study of four county councils, where the environmental objectives coordinators at the four county administrative boards were interviewed about their work with environmental quality objectives.

The study is qualitative in nature, in which a deeper understanding of the subject mergers and acquisitions wants to be achieved. The study uses an abductive approach and the data used was both from primary and secondary sources.Conclusion:     The result of the study shows that the integration process is influenced by several factors.
