Under hösten 2008 har det uppmärksammats i massmedia att vi slänger mycket ätbar mat. Flera av varandra oberoende studier visar att mycket mat slängs och detta görs för det mesta i onödan(Konsumentföreningen, Stockholm, 2009;Blekinge läns tidning, 2008;Engström och Kanyama, 2004). Matsvinn är en stor källa till miljöbelastning från livsmedelssektorn, ett etiskt och inte minst ett ekonomiskt problem (Sonesson och Angervall, 2008). Syftet med den här studien är att ta reda på vilken attityd förskolechefer, pedagoger/personal och föräldrar på förskolor i Uppsala kommun har till matsvinn. Vilken strategi behövs för att minska på matsvinnet? Kan man med enkla medel åtgärda detta eller krävs omfattande förändringar? Vilka lagar och regler gäller?.

This thesis deal with tick burden on roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) fawns, in relation to age, weight, hind foot length, and as well as to vegetation and habitat on bed sites. Roe deer fawns (N = 25) were captured from May 27 to June 27. Samples of ticks were collected and tick burden were estimated. Of all sampled ticks the nymphs and adults were Ixodes ricinus, while the larvae were not identified. 4.4 % of the sampled ticks were larvae, 55.0 % nymphs, 26.8 % adult females, and 13.8 % adult males.

Operators and Internet service providers invest in broadband to be able to deliver new services that require higher data transmission rate. A way to make this possible is to use ADSL, Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line, as the access technology. To be able to handle this technology, the service providers should do a pre-qualification. Methods and tools are needed to analyze the local copper lines and decide if these qualify for ADSL with respect to service availability and possible bandwidth through the lines. This report brings up some methods for pre-qualification of ADSL, the important quality parameters and how to gather them from the available services today.

Project management has been a very popular way of conducting information system development in the past years. Among all major information system developing companies today, almost everyone work in some form of project management. Our objective with this study has been to find out if there are any problems that begin in the early part of the project. Problems that, if they aren?t solved directly, can become bigger problems later on in the project.

The purpose of this essay is to evaluate stock index bonds return to risk ratio in order to investigate to which degree an investor in a stock index bond take part of the underlying index return and what the investor must pay for the security of not losing his funds. In order to carry out this evaluation an average return per year and the Sharpe ratio will be calculated and a mean- standard deviation analysis will be made. All investigated stock index bonds are based on a Swedish underlying asset.The results show that the stock index bonds haven?t generated a higher risk adjusted return than its underlying asset. The stock index bonds took part of 57 % of the underlying assets return, and the loss of 10 percentage points per year for the stock index bonds compared to its underlying asset can be seen as the cost for the guarantee a stock index bond gives..

Jaganalyserar teoretiskt den intertemporala konsumtionsbaserade CAPM (C-CAPM),sammanställer en del av litteraturdiskussionen som finns på området samt empiriskttestar C-CAPM på svensk data. Fenomenet equity premium puzzle innebär attöveravkastningen på aktier är så stor att det inte stämmer med den ekonomiska teorin.Enligt teorin beror C-CAPMs riskpremie på kovariansen mellan konsumtionen ochaktieavkastningen. Litteraturen visar att forskare inte har lyckats förklara equitypremium puzzle genom att ändra antagandena i grundmodellen. There exist several known methods for calculation of radio coverage for ground-based systems. As far as we know there are no equivalent methods for the case of flying platforms when the altitudes and speeds are significantly different to those of ground-based systems. This thesis describes the theoretical concepts behind calculations of radio coverage for flying platforms. An investigation is made to sort out what is important and possible to employ in a model for simulations. A method is described and implemented in a program for evaluation of flying radio systems.

By immersion in the situation of the food production today and a historical study of how past development has led us to this point, one goal of this essay is to discuss whether the current way of farming can be applied in a sustainable future. Another objective of the essay is to study the vision Vertical farming as an alternative approach, and to focus on different aspects of this phenomenon in order to provide as comprehensive a picture as possible.The paper, thus, seeks to broaden the views for alternative approaches regarding a well-established method which we often take for granted. The aim is also to initiate a discussion around the need to also take radical ideas in regard if we want to face the future in a sustainable manner. For a long time us humans lived as one with nature, in a symbiotic relationship in which we gave and took as a functioning part of an ecosystem.

Med mitt arbete vill jag undersöka hur man arbetar med portfoliometodiken i textilslöjden och hur arbetet med portfolio kan underlätta för läraren att arbeta utifrån de direktiv som finns i kursplanen för slöjd. Undersökningen har genomförts i enkätform där textillärare som arbetar med portfoliometodiken har fått svara på ett antal frågor med olika svarsalternativ. I undersökningen har det framkommit att när man arbetar med portfolio i textilslöjden så sparas alla elevens arbeten. Den färdiga produkten har fotograferats och sparats tillsammans med elevens utvärdering och i de flesta fall även med lärarens kommentar. Däremot är det ingen som sparar någon bild på produkten under arbetets gång. Trots att fokus har flyttats från produkt till process i Lpo 94. Nästan samtliga lärare tycker sig se att portfolion hjälper eleven att se sin egen utveckling i slöjd, att den hjälper eleven att ta ansvar för sitt arbete samt att det är lättare att motivera eleven att skriva en utvärdering.

Fönster blir idag en allt viktigare del av en byggnads klimatskärm. Det ställs därför krav på olika funktioner vilka måste uppfyllas oberoende av fönstertyp. Då glas blir vanligare i moderna konstruktioner ställs det högre krav på värmeisolerande förmåga. Cirka 35 % av en byggnads värmeförluster sker genom fönster. Detta ställer krav på tillämpning av energieffektiva fönster vid ny- och ombyggnad. Underhåll av fönsterkonstruktionerna är en oundviklig detalj och måste ske någon gång under en byggnads livslängd.

Studien fokuserar på problematiken kring redovisningskvaliteten i banksektorn. Banker somundersöks är verksamma och registrerade inom länderna Danmark, Finland, Norge ochSverige. Genom att korrelera posterna gross charge-offs och loan loss provisions i denfinansiella rapporten bekräftas redovisningskvalitet utifrån tre olika ägarstrukturer; privatägdbank, sparbank och statligt ägd bank. Datainsamlingen görs genom databasen Bankscope ochden forskningsmetod som används bygger på Altamuro och Beattys (2010) modell. Tidigareforskning är grunden till de hypoteser som studien bygger på.

E-books are not yet fully established on the Swedish book market. A frequently discussed theory is that this might be because of a loss in the reading experience. This thesis has the primary purpose to investigate whether the reading experience from E-books differs from the experience of reading a traditional book in paper. The book used for comparation is a poetry collection named Rakel delat med tio. I have designed the cover and the inlay of this book and as a part of the thesis the working progress is described.

The primary intention of this paper was to visually compare film trailers without considering semantic information, through use of a self-developed Matlab program, resembling that of human perception. Circa 150 people participated in an online survey where they were shown two film trailers and asked to rate their visual similarities. The result from the program was weighted against the survey results in such a way that the weights corresponded to a 75% accuracy between the program?s and the participant?s (for participants with prior experience in the field of photography and/or film) comparisons.How accurate can we compare still images from film trailers, and find similar trailers for the human viewer, by analyzing saturation, color tone, contrast and lightness with a self-developed Matlab program..
