AbstractIn November 2011 the Swedish Government announced that they were conducting an investigation to examine what impact the conversion of existing rental stock to condominiums could have on the development of the Million programme areas. The proposal of converting rental stocks to condominiums aims to help people living in these neighbourhoods to private ownership, while still allowing people who want to continue to rent their homes to do that. This thesis intends to investigate the effects of the proposed reform from a management perspective. The maintenance of the areas built during the Million Programme gets more neglected every year that passes. The majority of the housing stock is rental properties and extensive renovation of the surface layer, tribes and public spaces are essential in all Million programme areas studied. By transforming a portion of the housing stock into condominiums and by improve the living environment through renovations, these areas would be able to gets more attractive.

Large companies in today?s business environment are to a great extent depending on their credit score by rating institutes like Moody?s and Standard & Poor?s. There is however indications that these big institutes are not always rating companies accurately. This is why this thesis aims at developing a new credit rating model, CRITA-Score, with the objective of determining a company?s financial health more accurately.

We have chosen to write our essay in collaboration with Varbergs kommun, where our starting point is to improve energy efficiency by management control. Their occupation separates from a pure profit driven corporation and therefore the management controls have to be adapted accordingly.  The reason why we have chosen to write an essay about the management control opportunities to improve the energy efficiency depends on two different reasons. The first reason is that we find it very interesting, how with support from the management control it is possible to improve different parts of the operation. Genom våra undersökningar har vi kommit fram till att det uppstår en onormalt hög avkastning under januari månad, i jämförelse med resterande månader. Denna företeelse kan kallas för januarieffekten. Syfte: Då vi har funnit att en stor del av tidigare forskning kring varumärken fokuserar på konsumentmarknaden vill vi närmare undersöka varumärkets betydelse i en industriell kontext.Metod: Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ undersökning genom ostrukturerade och öppna intervjuer. Vi utgick från våra respondenters svar och analyserade därefter svaren med hjälp av relevanta teorier. Undersökningen har således en induktiv ansats med ett tolkande synsätt. Teoretiska perspektiv: I vår teoretiska bas har vi samlat teorier från tre olika ämnesområden; nätverksbyggande och relationsmarknadsföring, inköpsteorier samt varumärkesteorier.
