Mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones are quite common in this day. The author of this thesis wanted to know how common these mobile devices are in the building industry and how they are used and what potential an app could have. The author thus conducted an investigation on this matter, mainly in the form of interviews.Answers given by the interviews were then used as a basis to survey the usage of mobile devices and the usage of different kinds of apps. An investigation of different apps with the potential to be used by professionals in the building industry has been carried through. Apps which manage such things as scanning documents, measuring distances and handle communication.

I hälso- och sjukvården i Sverige används ett flertal medicintekniska apparater och IT-system. Ofta läser man av en skärm på den medicintekniska apparaten och noterar informationen på papper för att sedan manuellt mata in dessa uppgifter i IT-systemen. Detta manuella mellanled finns det önskemål och förhoppningar om att slippa. Man vill kunna överföra information automatiskt mellan den medicintekniska apparaten och IT-systemet, med andra ord vill man integrera dem. För att åstadkomma detta måste ett antal grund-läggande förutsättningar uppfyllas.

This report deals with prefabricated bathrooms and the advantage, during the production process, they have compared to ordinary produced bathrooms.The work is done together with the building company JM. The common task is to investigate if the manufactures, in spite of standardized design can meet the concept of JM, i.e. high flexibility and adjustment towards the customer. Our purpose was to examine why and how to start a ?bridge building enterprise? between qualified Chinese human capital and Swedish structure capital. The theoretical framework consists of literature from well renowned authors and is divided into four different parts: Intellectual Capital, Knowledge Management, China & Intercultural understanding. The empirical foundation has been gathered from a great variety of different sources in an attempt to cover the many complex angels in which this subject can be looked upon. Vid ett företagsförvärv måste båda företagets anställda integreras, så att respektive expertkunskap kommer båda företagen tillgodo. Frågor rörande hur anställda ska integreras blir dock ofta förbisedda under de förhandlingar som föregår uppköpet. I den här uppsatsen har vi studerat hur företag verksamma inom IT- och telekombranschen hanterar företagsförvärv och integration av det uppköpta företagets anställda, samt om organisationskulturen påverkar integrationsprocessen. Utifrån ett organisatoriskt perspektiv beskrivs vilka skillnader och likheter som kan identifieras i integrationsprocessen vid förvärv inom IT- och telekombranschen. Dessa skillnader ställs dels mot befintliga teorier, som fokuserar på tillverkande företag, och dels mot fallföretagens sätt att hantera integrationsprocessen.

It has now passed two years since the new site- and construction law, PBL, went into force. It replaced the previous PBL applicable since 1987, and it involves relatively large changes in many different areas of the construction sector. The ambitions of the new law are for instance to simplify and clarify the legal text, increase efficiency in the permitting processes and improve the quality of construction. To achieve this, a variety of changes was made. Some of the most important are: inserted deadline in the processing of building applications, extended assessment of building applications, revised rules about controlplan and quality manager, a certificate is required to start and end the project, an additional meeting is inserted and the construction management of the municipalities will have to do a mandatory visit at the work scene.

This paper deals with Will Kymlicka's and Charles Taylor's theories of multiculturalism, and the criticism of these theories by Jürgen Habermas and Seyla Benhabib. It also gives a brief background to the Swedish integration and minority policies and places them in relations to the academic discussion. Taylor advocates cultural survival to be a legitimate policy objective and Kymlicka argues that rights should be diversified in order to adapt to different needs of cultural minorities. The thesis aims to confront the theories with interviews of four persons who voluntarily or by profession work for the interest of minorities. The theories have been operationalized as questions and structured in four themes with the purpose of analyzing the interviews.

SammanfattningTrots att Sveriges befolkning består i dag av c:a 10% invandrare. Är det fortfarande svårt för många av dem att komma in i det svenska samhället i dag. Problemet med diskriminering bland invandrare i Sverige gör att många av de riskerar att hamna utanför samhällets kretsar. Trots detta problem har ett fenomen visat att invandrare kan integreras till det svenska samhället. Det här fenomenet är fotboll en sport som har visat sig vara ett viktigt hjälpmedel för integration av unga invandrarkillar i Sverige, enligt en undersökning som gjordes av Jesper Fundberg åt riksidrottsförbundet (2003).

I detta examensarbete beskriver jag FMT-metoden (Funktionsinriktad MusikTerapi). Jag beskriver även sensorisk integration och innebörden av sinnesintegrering och relaterar det till hur arbetet med FMT kan utföras. Under min praktikperiod har arbetet pågått med flera adepter. Valter som har diagnosen Autism och Stellan som har diagnosen Down syndrom, får en närmare presentation här. Jag undersöker också om det går att nå fram till dessa personer med denna ickeverbala metod, när deras förutsättningar är så olika. Båda har funktionsnedsättningar, men av olika slag.

Miljonprogram is a Swedish building program from 1964 to 1975. During that time about a million homes were constructed. Now, almost 50 years later, they are in desperate need of renovation. In order to fulfil the Swedish environmental objective to decrease energy consumption 50 per cent until 2050, considerable housing stock built under the Miljonprogram has to be renovated.Focus in this thesis is on the building services and theirs profitability that can decrease energy consumption in households build during the Miljonprogram. Building construction is not considered in this report.

Uppsatsen handlar om ett projekt som ägde rum på en gymnasieskola i södra Sverige. Projektet syftade till att låta elever, från olika kulturella bakgrunder, lära känna varandra genom intervjuer. Fyra klasser med totalt 38 elever blev givna uppgiften att skriva ett personporträtt om den de intervjuade. Detta gav studenterna möjligheten att lära känna varandra, samtidigt som de fick veta mer om respektive elevs kulturella bakgrund. Min del i detta projekt var att utvärdera resultatet genom att intervjua elever och lärare, för att se vad de tyckte om projektet.

The purpose of this qualitative research study is to examine if and how the teachers from a multicultural International School work with intercultural pedagogy. The school in question isprofiled and consists of both Swedish- and English classes. The study examines if and how the teachers related to the great variety of cultures and created opportunities for integration between the students and handling with values at school. It is important to be aware as a teacher to be able to take an active part in working towards a school that gives possibilities for different cultures to meet. If this is neglected, it may increase the risk of problems and cultural clashes between the students.

Kan Sverige lära sig något om invandring och flyktingmottagande från ett land som ligger på andra sidan Atlanten? Kanada beskrivs i bland som en nation av invandrare. Landet har en lång historia av invandring och det är en viktig del av landets ekonomi. Kanada tar årligen emot omkring 260 000 invandrare. Knappt hälften av invandrarna väljer att bosatta sig i mångmiljonstaden Toronto.

Efterfrågan i service- och turismbranschen varierar mycket beroende på säsong. Detta gör att även behovet av personal varierar och måste anpassas genom tidsbegränsade anställningar. Varje säsongsstart innebär ett flertal nyanställda med behov av integration i företaget, dess servicefilosofi med mera. Säsongsanställda har ofta mycket kundkontakt och representerar företaget utåt. Det är därför viktigt att motivera och integrera den säsongsanställde.

This thesis is a comparative analysis of language policy in the Post-Soviet states Ukraine and Kazakhstan, wherein the states are seen as rational actors using language as an instrument in the nation-building process. With a take-off point in an underframe of theories on the nation, national identity, instrumentalism, power and the particular role of language in the nation-building process, this thesis shows that language is a key instrument used by the two states.The Ukrainian and Kazakhian language policies create and put across a certain image of the nation, by emphasising the titular languages as symbols of the new states. The line of argument in the language policy is a balance act between large-scale promotion of titular languages and a careful and inclusive attitude towards the Russian language. The biggest differences are that Ukraine, compared to Kazakhstan, has a more comprehensive and consequent language policy with a deeply rooted historic rhetoric. The most obvious instruments of the states in language policy is censuses, corpus-planning and the state choosing one official language..
