Corporate Social Responsibility - Ett sätt för företag att uppnå legitimitet? : En fallstudie om Retail and Brands

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) är ett centralt begrepp som idag är välkänt inom affärsvärlden och har fått stor betydelse för vårt samhälle. Begreppet innebär företagets etiska, sociala och miljömässiga ansvar gentemot omvärlden. CSR har en stark koppling till legitimitetsteorin. Flera studier har visat att företag strävar efter legitimitet i sitt CSR-arbete.Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka genom en fallstudie om företag kan uppnå legitimitet hos sina kunder genom deras hållbarhetsredovisning. I den här studien har en kvalitativ metod används och undersökningen har begränsats till ett valt företag. Den svenska klädkoncernen Retail and Brands (RNB) är ett av de företag i Sverige som har tagit sitt initiativ till att redovisa sitt arbete inom hållbarhetsfrågor.

The purpose of this study has been to explore the expectations of the primary school on the activities of the pre-school. In order to limit the study I have chosen to compare the expectations found in two different schools. In the first case, the pre-school is integrated with the after-school centre and grade one to three (primary school), into the same building. In the other case, the pre-school share localities with the after-school centre in a separate building, with its own yard, within the primary school area. Since the purpose is rather comprehensive, it has been divided into sub-themes with separate set of questions.

Made in Taiwan: Om identitetskonstruktion i Taiwan

Taiwan's recent democratization seem to have rallied a wider support of the notion of a national identity amongst its citizens which in the year 2000 led to the election of the pro-independence party DPP and President Chen Shui-bian. Meanwhile, China insists on the "one country, two systems" formula, regarding Taiwan as merely a Chinese province, and continues to fight any Taiwanese initiative towards sovereignty. Through a narrative perspective, this essay analyzes the self-conscious national identity-building quest embarked upon by DPP and President Chen Shui-bian. The analysis consists of three parts. Firstly, a text-analysis of President Chen Shui-bian's speeches is conducted to examine in what way he enforces and legitimizes the identity-building-process through narratives.

Hur introducerar man drama för vuxna som inte vill? : Fokussamtal med dramapedagoger

Abstract Som dramapedagog är det vanligt att man får uppdrag att leda vuxengrupper som inte själva har valt att ha drama. I dessa grupper finns ofta en stor rädsla och ett stort motstånd vilket man som dramapedagog måste hantera och förhålla sig till. Frågeställning: Hur förbereder och planerar dramapedagoger introduktionen av dramapass med vuxengrupper som inte valt att ha drama och hur är deras syn på detta arbete? Undersökningen är inspirerad av en fenomenologisk-hermeneutisk ansats och metoden har varit fokussamtal där resultatet har redovisats som en gemensam berättelse ur informanternas perspektiv. Resultatet visar bland annat på att den springande punkten för att få ett fruktsamt arbete med vuxna som inte har valt drama är att som dramapedagog tillsammans med gruppen hitta en överenskommelse om hur man min vill arbeta.  Nyckelord: Dramapedagogik, grupprocess, vuxnas lärande, motivation, fokussamtal, fenomenologi, hermeneutik, team building, drama..

Vilka incitament kan förklara Sveriges engagemang i Afghanistan? : En undersökning ur ett liberalistiskt, ett realistiskt och ett konstruktivistiskt perspektiv

The purpose of this study was to examine the incentives behind Sweden?s decision to engagein the Afghanistan conflict.The method used to fulfil the purpose of the study is content analysis. The material that hasbeen used in the study is various books and articles concerning Sweden in Afghanistan,Swedish foreign policy and perspectives in political science.The study is multi-theoretical and thus the analysis explains the incentives from a liberal, arealist and a constructivist point of view.The conclusion of the study is that identity has a great part in explaining the incentives forSweden to engage in Afghanistan, especially because of the transformation in strategy andforeign policy that has taken place since the end of the cold war. Other factors, such as peacebuilding and national interests also are incentives supported by the material used in the study.Yet, perhaps they are first and foremost connected by the constructivist idea of identity..

Due to the highly competitive and busy marketplace of today, companies are forced to take unforeseen measures in defending and developing their brands. Key elements like opinion leadership and lifestyle marketing are commonplace and aim to deliver values that are more difficult to define compared to quality, price, looks and usability. This paper aims to develop what should be considered most fundamental to all commercial branding. By investigating the ideologies that are the core of many successful companies, we hope to clarify the importance of communicating these ideologies. The topic is examined by method of quantitative analysis and the main purpose is to determine; what do the companies think of their ideologies, and how do their consumers recieve them? The distributioncentral of Stadium has an area of 31,6 acre and is being build in Herstadberg in the region of Norrköping. It is Mattssons Fastighetsutveckling (Mattssons Real-estate development) who also has ordered the building. They will also take care of the operation and support of the distributioncentral. Peab has got the assignment as a total contractor and it is for them I have done my degree project.I have been drawing-up a description of the goods in the distributioncenter. AbstractAbetong in Falkenberg manufactures, among other things, small prefabricated concrete buildings for housing various installations, such as electric transformers.The aim of this dissertation is to reduce the time needed to design such buildings, by way of finding a number of standardized buildings. Standardized in such a manner as to incorporate both the needs of the manufacturer (Abetong) and its customers.To analyze the needs of the parties the work has included a market survey and calculations on the strength of these buildings.One survey was a letter questionnaire to all of Abetong?s customers who have, in the past, ordered these types of building. The aim of the questionnaire was to establish how the customers want these buildings designed.Another survey conducted was an inventory of all of Abetong?s previous projects where these types of building were manufactured.
