Abstract Background: In 1997 the Kyoto Protocol was signed, it?s an international agreement which is aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Sweden's goal is to reduce energy using in buildings with 20 percent by 2020 and 50 percent by 2050. This is a comparison with levels from 1995 (Glad, 2006). For Sweden to be able to reach its goals, they need to construct more low-energy buildings (Åhman, Wahlström & Lundblad, 2010).

Solid waste management is one of the most essential functions in a country to achieve asustainable development. In India, it has been one of the least prioritized functions during thelast decades. The most common ways to treat waste in India today are open dumping anduncontrolled burning. These methods are causing severe environmental pollution and healthproblems. Testing has always been an important task in the scope of software quality. Though it has never been as much appreciated within the management of the organisations as the software development has. However testing is becoming more attractive within organisations because it becomes more evident how much money working systems saves in contrast to defect ones. A tester often use testing tools to simplify the work progress. There are a lot of tools nowadays but not many evaluating models which helps the tester to know which one to recommend.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate if an automation of the manual packaging process at Legosan AB is profitable. Legosan AB, located in Kumla, performs subcontract work of dietary supplements and medical products to companies within Europe. The chapterportal robot is used in the other. As there are several options in the choice of packaging robot the suggestions of improvement are divided into two different designs. Other machines and equipment necessary for the different suggestions of improvement are showed and their measurements are presented.

The task of this project was to build an computer processing system for pressureregulation, in which the pressure loss over the open hydrolicvalve should be kept as low as possible. By using an cross connected proportional directional valve the valve problem could be solved. The control- and regulationproblem for the pressureregulation system was solved by using the DAQ- card NI6035E from National Instruments and the computerprogram Automatic Pressure Control 1.0 which has been software developed and written in Visual Basic. Denna rapport behandlar automatisering av statorlindning vid monteringsline 4 för elmotorer på ABB Motors AB i Västerås. Målet med projektet var att hitta ett lönsamt sätt att automatisera delar av elmotormonteringen. Arbetet begränsades till att omfatta monteringsline 4 där motorer av storlek IEC 200- 250 monteras, dessa är de största motorer som produceras i Västerås. På grund av relativt små volymer och en omfattande variantflora måste en automatisering vara flexibel. För att nå en fungerande automatiserad lösning behövde flera praktiska materialhanteringsproblem lösas.

This report describes the design and implementation of a multi-master, packet based protocol for small and tiny microcontrollers where resources are limited. The protocol was named "Tiny Controller Network" or TCN for short. The protocol is meant mainly as a control bus for automation and sensor acquisition applications but due to its flexibility can also be used for other purposes as well. It borrows some of its functionality and design ideas from the well known CAN bus and Modbus but also has a number of major differences like the use of standard hardware and time synchronisation. One of the key aspects during the design was the use of very little system resources and common on-chip hardware peripherals like a UART.

It´s important when you are about to build a new stable or just increasing your production that you choose the right housing system and that it fits your own farm. In this study I have put together facts about different housing system for fattening bulls in order to get a clearer picture of witch system is the most suitable for my own farm depending on the conditions I have. The background of this work is my own interest for breeding bulls and I will hopefully increase my own production. Due to this I wanted to learn more and increase my knowledge about different housing systems. Sepsis (blodförgiftning) är ett allvarligt tillstånd och behöver en snabb diagnos som fastställs genom blodprov. Blodprov från hela Stockholms Län skickas till Karolinska Universitetslaboratoriet (KUL) för analys, där biomedicinska analytiker och läkare fastställer arten på infektionen och beslutar vilken antibiotikabehandling är optimal.Målet med arbetet var att identifiera eventuella problem som skapar flaskhalsar hos Klinisk Mikrobiologi i Solna som är en del av KUL. Därefter skulle lösningsförslag framföras och möjligheten att införa blodprover i ett nytt automatiskt system, BD Kiestra Total Lab Automation undersökas.Verksamhetskedjan för laboratoriet analyserades genom observationer och läsning av metodbeskrivningar. Utifrån verksamhetsanalysen identifierades sedan problem. En utbildning med BD Kiestra TLA gav en översikt av hur systemet fungerar samt fördelarna med att använda det.Genom litteraturstudier samt öppna intervjuer kunde förslag på lösningar och förbättringar framföras. Resultaten behandlar de lösningsförslagen för de identifierade problemen, och sammanfattas i en tabell. BD Kiestra TLA behandlades separat med en systembeskrivning, följt av de problem som finns för införandet av blodprov och hur dessa problem kan lösas..

This case study is performed within the production of Sherwin-Williams, Bellö. The purpose is to increase the understanding how a value stream can function more efficient, from a lead time perspective. With the analytical model that is build up on known theories, the purpose have been fulfilled. Mapping of value and non value time for four products thru their respectively process reveals wastes, which is, waiting, transport and movement, incorrect processing and set-up time that in it self create transport and movement. Thru identified wastes that causes loss in lead time suggestions of improvement has been proposed.

This report is about finding the cooperative elements in games and making a boardgame based on them. I tested different computer games and boardgames to try and get the cooperative elements and then I make a boardgame based on what I found.What I found during testing is that to be a fully cooperative game all players on the same team must win or lose together and one player should not be able to finish the game by herself. There are of course some things that can change this for example what kind of players are playing.My best advice is that you should decide that the game is fully cooperative from the beginning and build the game from that..

With the increase in IT related crimes the IT forensics has more work ahead of them and it is constantly rising. The analysis software called EnCase is widely used by IT forensics all around the globe and with it comes an internal programming language called EnScript.This paper is designed to examine whether a manual for the programming language EnScript can make a difference in how efficiently the work is.A study between two groups has been made and an evaluation of the results between the two groups.The manual provided aims to introduce the reader to EnScript as a programming language and also to provide a solid foundation to build on in further work with EnScript.
