The French historian Marc Bloch is considered to be one of the masters of medieval history, particularly his creation Feudal Society has been an essential piece of work for everyone who desires a deeper understanding of the general feudal society. Bloch gives his readers a vivid and living picture of a society so far beyond our present that it is sometimes hard to keep in mind that this society is part of our legacy. At the same time Bloch endows his readers with the special historical outlook he and his successors has developed, the history of the mentalities. By reaching further back in time, to the Roman and Germanic cultures and the manorial system, he proves his point that the feudal society was build on the legacy of older structures and institutions.In the coming study I will disentangle the early feudal structure of power as Bloch has described it in his Feudal Society. The essence of this power structure is to find in the very characteristic tie between two men, the vassalage.

In recent decades, public relations and news management have become increasingly important in organizations? communication efforts. This thesis aims to show how the Kalmar municipality works with this type of strategic communication to build the Kalmar brand and how their communication efforts can be improved. The thesis is mainly based on theories concerning Public relations and News Management but also the medias impact on forming opinion. An important issue throughout the thesis is that all theories must be related to the fact that the study concerns an organization in the public sector and the obligations that comes with that fact.

I följande studie kommer rekryterings- och utvecklingsmetoden Assessment Center (AC) attstuderas. Syftet med studien är att utifrån verksamma organisationers erfarenhet av AC skapa en ökad förståelse för; metodens innebörd, vilka argument som ligger till grund förorganisationers användande av metoden samt dess värde för organisationer. Studien är avkvalitativ karaktär och fokus fästs vid tolkning och förståelse av AC baserat pårespondenternas subjektiva uppfattningar och upplevelser. Studiens teoretiska referensrambehandlar; Human Resource Management, rekrytering, personalekonomi, Talent Management och Assessment Center. Empiri har samlats från sex verksamma organisationer, varav fem organisationer vilka arbetar med AC samt en organisation som har påvisat ett eventuellt intresse av att utveckla ett AC.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and specify the characteristics of servicescapes in the hotel industry and its role when building a brand. Further, the aim is to put forward how Management in this sector strategically utilizes the location to manage the staff in order to help build a strong lasting brand. To fulfill our purpose we have targeted one overall question - What purpose does servicescape have when building a solid brand name in the hotel sector?In today?s society brands play an integral part in influencing our buying behavior and are now considered to be a new business tool to communicate a business trough. Also services have become a widespread phenomenon, which is seen as a competitive tool not only for companies in the service sector.

The aim of the study is to investigate how social workers relate to the self-determination in cases that involve people who have dementia. To investigate this we have chosen to build a qualitative study. The study is based on four interviews with social workers in elderly care in Sweden. To analyze our material we chose the concept autonomy, and legal texts from the Social Services Act (SFS 2001: 453) and Parental code (SFS 1949: 381). Our results show that social workers are often forced to deviate from the law and guidelines to ensure the best for the person with dementia.

Syftet med undersökningen är att se om idrottslärares tidigare erfarenheter av friluftsliv, både under uppväxten och för närvarande påverkar i vilken omfattning man utövar området inom idrott och hälsa, samt vad man har för förhållningssätt till friluftsliv. En kvalitativ metod har använts för att besvara frågeställningarna och en fenomenografisk ansats har tillämpas vid analysen av materialet. Alla idrottslärare instämmer med att det påverkar vad man har för tidigare erfarenheter av friluftsliv till hur man förhåller sig till det berörda området. Men detta leder i sin tur inte till att friluftslivsundervisningen förekommer i en större omfattning och orsaker till detta ligger främst i de problem som rör lektionstid, pengar, närhet till naturen och definition i kursplanen..

In 1975 the Indian president Indira Gandhi proclaimed the emergency period which would go on until 1977. Under this time approximately 8 million men and women were sterilized in the name of family planning. Many of them did not volunteer. This was not just an Indian con- cern because the family planning program was largely funded by international aid. The Swe- dish involvement in the program was debated 1977?1980, in what has been called ?SIDA?s Watergate?.

The purpose of this essay was to examine whether small businesses can avoid ac-counting crimes with a well-conducted internal control system. The questions we asked ourselves was, whether and if so, companies can prevent this from happening by using a internal control.In this essay we used a qualitative approach. Essential information was given to us from four different interviewees. We also worked from an inductive approach which means that we interviewed people without any earlier research to build on. The method also had a hermeneutical approach, which means that we made different interpretations based on the reference framework and the empirics.After the study had been carried out, we concluded that all evidence from this essay suggested that even small businesses need an internal control to protect their business.

Public libraries have an important roll of making information accessible to all people. This democratic right supports the cultural development in our society. When public libraries build websites offering information and services it can sometimes cause obstacles for impaired users. It is therefore our purpose to evaluate a selection of websites and library plans to examine how the libraries work with accessibility for these users. This thesis is based on theories of cognitive and human computer interaction, and information architecture.

I detta examensarbete var vårt syfte att försöka se vilka matematiska förmågor som synliggjordes när elever arbetade tillsammans i grupp. Eleverna gick i år 3-4 och de fick arbeta med ett matematiskt problem. Till största delen har vi använt oss avKrutetskiis definition av vad han menade var matematisk förmåga. Dessa definitioner har vi brutit ner och tolkat så att de blev tillämpningsbara på barn i 9-10 årsåldern. Vi har observerat 12 elever, som har videofilmats och när vi analyserade materialetupptäckte vi flera av Krutetskiis förmågor.

Syftet med denna undersökning var att se hur pedagoger definierar och upplever mobbning och mobbningsbeteenden. Fokus låg på den subjektiva upplevelsen. Undersökningens resultat baserades på sjutton semistrukturerade intervjuer med pedagoger inom grundskolan. Intervjufrågorna baserades på fem kategorier av mobbningsbeteenden som Rayner och Hoel (1997) tar upp. Intervjuerna spelades in och transkriberades, därefter analyserades transkriberingarna genom att meningskoncentreras och meningstolkas för att sedan analyseras för att få fram gemensamma kategorier.

Should libraries first and foremost be a source of free informationwhere the citizens can find whatever information they want, or dothe librarians have a responsibility for what kind of works theypresent to people on their shelves? A wild debate broke out inSwedish media in September 2012, after the artistic leader ofKulturhuset in Stockholm; Behrang Miri decided to weed out allthe Tintin albums from the children´s library Tiotretton. Hewanted to start a debate on stereotypes in children´s fiction, andwhat damage they do to children who face them. The purpose ofthe thesis is to carry out a discourse analysis of this media debate,and to identify the different views that are expressed on thedemocratic mission of the libraries, what media they shouldpresent. The method and theory is based on the discourse theory ofErnesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe and their concepts are used toarrange the analysis around certain themes that build up twodifferent discourses; ?Freedom of information discourse? and the?Weeding out discourse?.The two main questions are: What views of the public librariesselection of works are expressed in the Tintin debate in Tiotretton,and how do the views relate to each other? What concepts arespecific for the debate, and what meanings do they get in thesedifferent views?In the concluding chapter I discuss which consequences theseopposing opinions can have for the future selection processes ofthe library..

Bakgrund och problemformulering: Palliativ vård är en av de mest prioriterade vårdformer som svensk hälso- och sjukvård förväntas att bedriva. Den vilar på en speciell vårdfilosofi som bör ligga till grund för planering och genomförande av vården i livets slutskede. Denna filosofi genomsyras bland annat av WHO:s definition vilket innebär en aktiv helhetsvård i ett skede då patienten inte svarar på en botande behandling. Studier har visat brist på kontinuitet och skillnader i kvalitet och tillgänglighet för den enskilda patienten i livets slut. Mot denna bakgrund har ett vårdprogram i palliativ vård arbetats fram som ska ligga till grund för palliativ vård i Södra Älvsborg.

Domestic science is an interdisciplinary subject. Furthermore domestic science is a combination of theory and practice. The basic competence, a recommendation from ?The Swedish School Institution? (Skolverket), is to enter the secondary school with minimum grade G, (godkänd) in the basic themes: Swedish, English and Mathematic. Today there are many pupils finishing their secondary school without grade in one or more basic themes; Swedish, English and Mathematic.

Med Hackman och Oldhams (1976) teori om grunderna för att känna arbetstillfredsställelse undersöks här om motivation, organisationskultur och personlighet kan ha något förklaringssamband. Motivationshygienteorin som är framtagen av Herzberg (Herzberg, Mausner & Snyderman, 1959) används för att undersöka motivation. För personlighet används den välkända och väl validerade femfaktormodellen som McCrae och Costa har gjort sig kända för. Organisationskultur mäts utifrån Scheins (1990) definition av organisationskultur. Utifrån dessa teorier utformades en enkät som var mätinstrumentet.
