The purpose with this thesis is to investigate how to design a urban space so that it is experienced safe and how to implement this at an actual site. Knowledge on the subject has been gathered through litterature studies and interviews with experts. Through an analysis of the site with surroundings and studies of projects with similar problems, practical actions have been observed. Part taking in the municipalities planning process has given insight in the projekt as an whole and the interests of different parties. There are many different opinions about what the word safety means. It is a feeling depending on situation, that is affecting our daily behaviour.

This survey was made to investigate the possibility of using an alternative method of fencing inSwedish forestry. The most common way of fencing in Sweden today is made by a two meter highmetal net that is attached to turned impregnated poles. The fencing methods that have beeninvestigated is a fencing system made completely out of wood so called ?German wood fence?.Browsing of game in forest regeneration areas is often a big problem and some kind of protection ofthe plants is often necessary. There is several ways of building fences and the most common way isto use metal nets and impregnated poles, this leads to a problem when the fence has profiled itspurpose.

Vår definition av begreppet Tematisk undervisning har gjorts utifrån litteratur inom området och utifrån intervjuer. Med tematisk undervisning menar vi att man arbetar ämnesintegrerande i form av olika teman som kan variera i längd. Denna definition kommer vi att bygga vår studie på.Syftet med studien är att bidra till förståelse för tematisk undervisning och framför allt dess fördelar och nackdelar. Vårt arbete utgår från dessa forskningsfrågor: Varför används inte tematisk undervisning i större utsträckning i skolorna? Vilka är faktorerna till att lärare väljer ämnesundervisning framför tematisk undervisning? Ger lärarutbildningen kunskap om tematisk undervisning? Vilka är fördelarna med tematisk undervisning? Vilka är nackdelarna med tematisk undervisning?Metoden som har använts i detta arbete är öppen intervju.

Detta examensarbete utfördes på avdelningsnivån CCS på avdelningen PDU Platforms på Ericsson. Avdelningen ville förändra sin nuvarande arbetsprocess genom att övergå från Daily Build, att bygga och testa en gång om dagen, till ett mer kontinuerligt byggande och testande. CCS hanterar och tillhandahåller kontrollsystemtjänster för RNC applikationer och äldre RBS. Målet med detta examensarbete var att automatisera testprocesser för att kunna utföra kontinuerliga tester. Första steget i arbetet var att ta fram ett specifikt användningsfall, ett use case, att arbeta mot. Detta skedde genom analys av felrapporter och detta ledde till att nodomstarter definierades som ett första användningsfall.

Föreliggande arbete undersöker metodmässig interoperabilitet genom att jämföra de kommande svenska reglementena Reglemente för Markoperationer och Markstridsreglemente 6 ? Bataljon och deras överensstämmelse med den doktrin som nyttjas av International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) i Afghanistan. Undersökningen syftar till att lämna ett bidrag till den svenska reglementsutvecklingen.Arbetet visar att det finns en överensstämmelse avseende grundbudskapet att lokalbefolkningen behöver skyddas och att man måste förstå deras situation. Det föreligger en låg grad av överensstämmelse avseende metoder för att skydda befolkningen.Författaren lämnar tre rekommendationer:1. Omarbeta beskrivningen av stabiliserande metoder2.

The aim of this thesis is to get a better understanding of how the management control system works at V&S Distillers. V&S Distillers went through an organizational change in the beginning of 2005. The marketing function went from being a country-driven to a category-driven organization. Among other things this resulted in increased cooperation between employees in different geographical locations. We aim to analyze how a geographical distance affects relations and the use of management control.

The overall goal of this diploma work is to produce a design of a 5 GHz radio frontend using Agilent Advanced Design System (ADS) and then build a working prototype. Using this prototype to determine if RF circuits at 5 GHz can be successfully produced using distributed components on a laminate substrate. The design process for the radio front-end consists of two stages. In the first stage the distributed components are designed and simulated, and in the second stage all components are merged into a PCB. This PCB is then manufactured and assembled.

Social hållbarhet. Vad är det och hur kan man i fysisk planering på kommunal nivå arbeta för att uppnå större social hållbarhet? Dessa frågor kommer att undersökas i denna uppsats med hjälp av en intervju och en dokumentstudie inriktad på Borås tätort.Social hållbarhet är ett komplext begrepp som i regel hamnat i skymundan i de sammanhang där hållbar utveckling behandlas, till fördel för ekonomiska och ekologiska aspekter. En bidragande faktor till detta förhållande är att social hållbarhet som begrepp är föränderligt i sin innebörd, vilket medför att det är svårt att definiera. Frågan som fysiska planerare behöver ställa sig är hur fysisk planering kan förhålla sig till detta begrepp.

In Sweden we need more lambs during March to June. I decided to calculate on a spring lamb production, because to many of the Swedish lambs go to slaughter in the autumn. I counted on 1000 ewes which have 2000 lambs each year, 200 of these lambs stays on the farm and replace old ewes. The buildings are 3600 square meters. I have counted on two different sorts of buildings, the first one is a shed, the second one is three polytunnel sheephouses.

Accounting for financial instruments can either be based on a transactions approach or an eco-nomic approach. Under a transactions approach instruments are reported at cost whereas under an economic approach instruments are reported at fair value. Hence, under a transactions approach realization becomes a criterion for recognizing fair value fluctuations as revenue whereas under an economic approach it does not. A mixed model is defined as a combination of the transactions approach and the economic approach insofar it records some accounting items at cost and other items at fair value. The mixed model gives rise to an issue commonly referred to as an accounting mismatch.

This master thesis was a subtask of a project called EMIR-1. The goal with the thesis was tobuild a system for particulate mass measurements in one of the engine test cells at KTH. Theparticulate mass measurements are planned to be measured with a TEOM.The exhaust gases must first be diluted with air before the sample is sent to the TEOM.Therefore an ejector diluter for this matter also was designed and evaluated in the thesis.Emissions measurements have been done both with and without dilution to determine thedilution ratio. Tests have been done for different speeds and loads.Problems with stability of the dilution ratio have been an issue throughout the process andpressure pulsations in the exhaust pipe are believed to be the cause. More tests have to be done tomake sure that this is the problem.One idea is to make the inner diameter of the diluter nozzle smaller and see if it changes thedilution ratio stability.

An absolute majority of all Swedish children begins to attend preschool at some point between the age of one and five. The acclimatisation to preschool means a great change in every small child's life. They leave all that is well known, the parent and their home, to face a whole new environment with new kids and adults to get to know and learn to trust.The purpose of this study has been to find out how the professionals in preschool reflect upon the child's acclimatisation at preschool. More specifically we wanted answers to how the preschool teachers, in their work with the child's acclimatisation, relates to the today, in preschool, much debated relationship between the two perspectives care and pedagogy.This qualitative study is based on ten interviews with preschool teachers at different preschools in a small town in Sweden. The analysis is based on a presentation of the interview material compared with earlier research and the theoretical aspects we have chosen, which are Bronfenbrenners Ecological Systems Theory and the Object Relations Theory.While working with this paper it has come clear to us that there is no explicit or common definition of the concept of care within preschool, while there is a clear definition of the concept of pedagogy.

Intresset för en etisk dimension i ledarskapet har ökat kraftigt under senare tid och anledningarna till detta ökade intresse är många. En anledning är det faktum att ledarskapet påverkar intressenter såsom kunder, samarbetspartner och inte minst medarbetare: Ett etiskt ledarskap har följaktligen goda effekter på intressenter samt på den långsiktiga lönsamheten, medan ett oetiskt ledarskap missgynnar såväl intressenter som den långsiktiga lönsamheten. Det har dessutom funnits olika åsikter om hur etik och företagande ska förhålla sig till varandra. Media har även, gång på gång, avslöjat många organisationers och ledares oetiska aktiviteter.Detta ovannämnda väcker flera intressanta frågeställningar, varav en handlar om att söka efter en definition beträffande det etiska ledarskapet. Denna frågeställning har legat till grund för vår uppsats.

Surrogate boycotts are highly threatening for corporations in terms of both economical cost and image damage. All corporations are due to our globalized environment and increased stakeholder fragmentation gradually more risking to become victims of surrogate boycotts, which of nature is hard if not impossible to predict and prevent. Corporations are generally recommended to build clear and strong corporate identities, which should be reflected in their most important stakeholders, as this will secure minimum damage on the corporate image. Even a surrogate boycott situation can have positive effects on corporations, especially in terms of image, as such situation increases the brand involvement and thereby make it possible for corporations to connect with important stakeholders on an emotional level. .

I en tid där hållbar utveckling nått stor genomslagskraft världen över samtidigt som en allt större kritik växt fram mot hållbarhetsbegreppets potential har syftet med den här uppsatsen varit att försöka utmana den kritiken. Forskare menar att begreppet är vagt och saknar innebörd (Davidson 2010), att de tre dimensionerna av hållbarhet tenderar att resultera i ekologi och miljötekniska lösningar (Vallance m fl. 2012), samt att begreppet gett upphov till en allmän definition som är svår att ifrågasätta (Swyngedouw 2010). För att besvara studiens syfte och frågeställningar har Norra Djurgårdsstaden valts som fall och kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts med tjänstemän på Stockholms stad, byggherrar och boende i området. Undersökningen har kunnat konstatera att projektet Norra Djurgårdsstaden både kunnat bekräfta och utmana kritiken mot hållbarhetsbegreppet.
