Det är svårt att skapa en enhetlig bild av en destination eller stad, och därför är det svårt att skapa ett destinationsvarumärke. Destinationens image, alltså hur folk ser på destinationen och uppfattar den, kan påverka varumärkets framgång, och även tvärtom. Hur påverkar en destinations varumärke destinationens image, och vice versa? Det är vår forskningsfråga i den här uppsatsen. Syftet är att öka förståelsen för hur en destinations image och varumärke hänger ihop och påverkar varandra.

Syfte: Att utifrån litteratur beskriva upplevelser av palliativ vård hos patienter med obotlig cancer och som vårdas på hospice eller inom den slutna vården, samt att utifrån litteraturen belysa vad dessa patienter anser att en god palliativ vård innefattar.Metod: Beskrivande litteraturstudie baserad på 14 artiklar sökta i databaserna Cinahl, PubMed, PsycInfo och via manuell sökning. Resultatet av analysen sammanställdes i 5 huvudkategorier innehållande 23 underkategorier.Huvudresultat: Patienterna upplevde att en adekvat smärtlindring utan förbehåll och dröjsmål var det viktigaste i den palliativa vården. En god kommunikation och interaktion mellan sjuksköterskan och patienten låg till grund för att en god vård skulle kunna utvecklas. Tillit till sjukvårdspersonalens kompetens och förmågor hade avgörande betydelse för patienternas upplevelse av trygghet. Autonomi hade en central roll för patienterna då delaktighet i vården skapade känsla av kontroll och mening.

Anledningen till att författarna gjorde denna studie var att bröstcancer är en av de vanligaste cancertyperna som drabbar kvinnor. Diagnosen innebär för de flesta kvinnor att hela eller delar av bröstet opereras bort. För många kvinnor representerar bröstet sexualitet och kvinnlighet. Syftet var att beskriva hur kvinnors sexualitet och sexuella relation förändras efter genomgången kirurgisk bröstcanceroperation och efterföljande behandling. Metoden var en kvalitativ litteraturstudie.

Background: In Sweden and Norway planned home birth is not included in the health care system. In Denmark women with expected low risk birth have the right to choose home birth. Registrations of home births in the Nordic countries are not completed and women?s experiences of planned home birth in Scandinavian context are not earlier described.Objective: The aim of this study was to describe women?s experiences of planned home birth in the Scandinavian countries.Design: Inductive content analysis. Fifty-three Scandinavian women who have experienced planned home birth have replied an open question in a questionnaire.

Att vara förälder till ett barn med cancer innebär sårbarhet, det är en traumatisk situation och en påfrestande tid. De förlorar oftast kontrollen över sin livssituation. För att kunna anpassa sig och hantera situationen använder de sig av olika copingstrategier. Syfte: Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka förhållandet mellan coping och anpassning hos föräldrar till cancerdrabbade barn och beskriva copingstrategier som var relaterade till bättre och sämre anpassning. Metodbeskrivning: Litteratursammanställning av kvantitativa empiriska studier publicerade efter år 1997.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av livskvalitet samt sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder i samband med cytostatikabehandling vid cancersjukdom. För att besvara studiens syfte har sökning efter artiklar (n=17) genomförts i databaserna Blackwell Synergy samt Elin@Dalarna. Följande sökord har använts i olika kombinationer; cancer, patients, experience, nurse care, quality of life, scale, instrument, chemotherapy och care. Resultatet visade att cytostatikabehandlingen hade både positiv och negativ inverkan på patienternas livskvalitet. Livskvaliteten ökade då symtom lindrades.

The essay investigates juvenile offenders experiences of the sanction ?ungdomstjänst? and how it may change attitudes towards committing criminal acts. The essay introduces qualitative interviews with four juvenile offenders, which have all executed ?ungdomstjänst?. The juveniles experiences of features that can be a part of the attitude change have been analyzed with a model of the motivation process, called ?Fyra F?, and four elements of persuading, which can affect an attitude change.

Stockholm is considered as a tourist destination which has a lot of offers to attract tourists and if it utilizes it water better it can give a wonderful and unique experiences and cold baths may become an image to it.The aim of this study is to shed light on the open-air swimming-baths and shores of Stockholm. Also how to use this advantage as it?s a city based on many islands, the purest water in Europe and this makes Stockholm as a destination a very attractive place for tourism. For a better understanding of our study, we have studied the quality and quantity to see how people began to exploit open-air swimming-baths throughout history everywhere in Europe and specifically of Stockholm city sea shore. We did a study on the history traditions of open-air swimming-baths and how it can be a tourist attraction through books and interviews, scientific articles and our personal observation, so that we can analyze how to develop sustainable tourism in the future and how Stockholm city can make development of opportunities for the future.

Cancersmärta orsakar ofta mycket lidande för den drabbade. WHO (World Health Organisation) bedömer att hela 10 % av de patienter som lider av Cancer idag upplever att de ej får en tillräcklig smärtlindring. Det är av stor vikt att alternativa behandlingsformer integreras med den traditionella skolmedicinen (den sedvanliga vården som ges i dag), för att på så sätt ge ett komplement till de patienter som inte erhåller tillräckligt god smärtlindring. Syftet var att undersöka vilken effekt massagen har på smärtpåverkade patienter med cancer, samt vilka instrument som använts för att mäta dessa effekter. En litteraturstudie gjordes där sju vetenskapliga artiklar med kvantitativ ansats användes.

The aim of this study was to describe and analyze how social workers working in social services using evidence based practice with special focus on the clients? experiences and wishes as source of knowledge in collecting information, assessment and decision. To get to the social workers experiences and descriptions we used a qualitative method with semistructured interviews. The empiric material of the study consists of eight interviews with social workers working in different social offices in different areas, in southern Sweden. The main result of this study was that social workers use clients? experiences and wishes differently in different parts of the investigations.

Bakgrund:Bröstcancer är den vanligaste cancerformen som drabbar kvinnor i Sverige, då omkring 7000 diagnostiseras varje år. Att få en sådan diagnos kan för många yttra sig väldigt chockartat. För att kunna hantera situationen finns det en rad olika faser individen måste ta sig igenom, detta görs med hjälp av olika copingstrategier. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka kvinnors olika copingstrategier vid bröstcancer. Metod: En litteraturstudie genomfördes där 14 empiriska studier användes.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how the Swedish daily press portraits librarians and the profession. I have used a discourse analytic study in my purpose to examine the image of librarians and the profession. I have analysed 34 articles between January 1, 2009 until January 1, 2010 from Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter, which are the two daily newspapers with the largest circulation in Sweden. I have used three major questions to answer the aim of my study: In what context do librarians and the profession appear in the daily press?What qualities are librarians assigned in the daily press?What views and attitudes about librarians and the profession appear in the articles?My analysis resulted in three discourses; discourse about librarians? relation to literature, discourse about librarians and the labour market and discourse about librarians and information.

Aim: The aim of the current study was to investigate nurses? experiences of caring for palliative patients in palliative home care, and to examine the coping strategies they use.Method: The study was empirical descriptive with qualitative approach. The data was collected by nine semi-structured interviews and analyzed by using manifest content analysis.Result: By analysing data three categories: Positive experiences of palliative home care, Stressful experiences of palliative home care and Problem-focused coping strategies, and 15 subcategories, were distinguished.Conclusion: Experiences of palliative home care were both of positive and challenging characters. Stressful situations were managed by problem-focused coping strategies. Nurses are in need of the work situation at home to become more ergonomic and designed to protect the nurse?s physical wellbeing.

GPGPU is a collective term for research involving general computation on graphics cards. A modern graphics card typically provides more than ten times the computational power of an ordinary PC processor. This is a result of the high demands for speed and image quality in computer games.This thesis investigates the possibility of exploiting this computational power for image processing purposes. Three well known methods where implemented on a graphics card: FFT (Fast Fourier Transform), KLT (Kanade Lucas Tomasi point tracking) and the generation of scale pyramids. All algorithms where successfully implemented and they are tree to ten times faster than correspondning optimized CPU implementation..
