Title: ?You could talk about it? ? a study of the experiences of victims of crime who have been receiving help from The Swedish Association for Victim Support.We got in touch with ten victims of crime through a local chapter of The Swedish Association for Victim Support and examined their emotional experiences of the help that was given to them from this organization.Background: Crime has always been a part of society and anyone can be subjected to some form of crime. Whenever a crime is perpetrated, there is always a victim. The purpose of this essay is to investigate how victims of crime emotionally experience the help they receive from the national association in Sweden who help and support victims of crime. Methods: We employed a qualitative method in the process of investigating the topic of this essay, and by employing interviews we got a deeper understanding of how victims of crime experience the help they receive.

The problem of separating a non-rectangular foreground image from a background image is a classical problem in image processing and analysis, known as matting or keying. A common example is a film frame where an actor is extracted from the background to later be placed on a different background. Compositing of these objects against a new background is one of the most common operations in the creation of visual effects. When the original background is of non-constant color the matting becomes an under determined problem, for which a unique solution cannot be found. This thesis describes a framework for computing mattes from images with backgrounds of non-constant color, using Bayesian statistics.

Bakgrund: Att få diagnosen bröstcancer sätter hela tillvaron på spel, särskilt för ungakvinnor i fertil ålder, då de ofta befinner sig i en komplex livssituation. Syfte: Syftet meddenna studie är att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter och upplevelser av vad som ärviktigt i omvårdnaden av unga kvinnor som drabbats av bröstcancer. Metod: Kvalitativmetod med halvstrukturerade forskningsintervjuer, enligt Kvale och Brinkmann haranvänts. De transkriberade intervjuerna har analyserats med kodning, meningskoncentreringoch meningstolkning. Resultat: Omvårdnaden av unga kvinnor med bröstcancer skiljer siginte från andra patientgrupper.

The purpose of this essay was to examine class-travellers experiences of having done the class-travel and when they realised they had done it.My questions were: when did they start the class-travel? How do they experience themselves after going through the classtravel? How do they change as class-travellers in their relationship with their surroundings?The study was based on interviews with six classtravellers, trained social workers who have made their journey through studies. In the essay I have analyzed and compared the interviews with relevant litterature/theory.My conclusions are that the experiences of the class-travel are different. The lass-traveller of this study are recognized of being/have been part of two worlds or cultures. How long the class-traveller has been in one of the worlds is of big importance.

Background: The increasing globalization of business and research has led to an increased demand for international meetings. This is a market that a number of countries wish to access and the competition is fierce to get the chance to host major conferences. Stockholm has a pronounced good position in the international meeting market and this essay will examine what it takes to be a successful meeting destination for international congresses.Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine the fundamental factors that must be met for a meeting destination to be successful in the international market for conventions.Question at issue: How can a city develop into a more attractive meeting destination for international congresses?Method: Persons with key positions in the Stockholm meeting industry have been approached by qualitative interviews by the authors.Theory: As a theoretical framework the authors used the value of the physical meeting, generally on the congresses, the planning process for site selection for the meeting, the meeting platform and image.Conclusion: The authors' findings are based on the empirical material gathered during the study interviews. The image of ?the problem child? in governmental committees).   This study focuses on the image of the problem child as it appears in two texts (from the 1940s and 1970s) of governmental committees on Public Health (SOU) and the new school law (Ds 2009:25, will be implemented in July 2011).

ABSTRACTThe aim of this study is to look into how ex-offenders experience that stigmatization and labeling- processes might affect their possibilities to create an integrated and adapted life in society. It is also of interest to study how and if the interviewees experience their self-image to be affected by these processes. Our research-questions are:-          How do ex-offender males experience stigmatization and labeling-processes to impact their possibilities when trying to re-integrate into society?-          Do ex-offender males experience their self-image being affected by stigmatization and labeling-processes? If so, how are they affected? In order to achieve this we interviewed members of the organization KRIS in Örebro, where we selected males over 23 years of age with a prior prison sentence. The study is based on the labeling-theory of Howard Becker as well as the stigma-theory by Erving Goffman.In the conclusions derived from the results we found that the interviewees experience a more distinct and obvious stigmatization and labeling from authorities such as the police and the legal system, than that from other people in society.

The city is complex, multi-faceted and fascinating. The same can be said about the rooms of the city. The experience of the rooms of the city can be described in as many ways as there are individuals. The question concerned in this essay is How can you describe the rooms of the city as a phenomenon and how can you describe the experience of these rooms in general? The concepts city and room are widely understood and neither of them has a description that can be used in all situations.

I Sverige drabbas nästan ett barn om dagen av cancer. De vanligaste cancerformerna hos barn är leukemi och hjärntumör. De flesta barn insjuknar i en låg ålder. Sjukdomen innebär en lång behandling med svåra biverkningar och orsakar ett avbrott från det dagliga livet med förskola och lek. Detta kan få konsekvenser för deras fysiska och kognitiva utveckling.

Bakgrund: År 2011 fick cirka 58 000 människor i Sverige diagnosen cancer. Antalet människor som drabbas ökar och varje år avlider cirka 21 000 människor till följd av sjukdomen. Sjukdomen orsakar lidande vilket medför att den drabbade är i behov av förståelse. Forskning kring cancersjukas upplevelser efter att ha fått besked att deras tid i livet är utmätt på grund av terminal cancer är  begränsad.                 Syfte: Syftet var att belysa upplevelsen av förändring i livsvärlden då cancern övergår till ett terminalt tillstånd.                Metod: En kvalitativ litteraturstudie baserad på sex självbiografier.

The aim of this study was to investigate the individual meaning of experiences of migration and day-to day life experiences before and after migration, of women that had migrated from the Middle-east area to Sweden. This was to be done with a psychological health perspective looking for stressors and salutogenic factors. A phenomenological approach was used. Eleven women where interviewed with three open questions on a trajectory theme. The analysis was supported by software Sphinx Lexica and software MCA-Minerva.

Varje år diagnostiseras ungefär 50 000 svenskar för cancer, varav många är föräldrar till barn som är under 18 år. I samband med förälderns diagnos förändras hela tillvaron för barnen och ofta upplever de förälderns sjukdom som något ont och obehagligt. Som allmänsjuksköterskor vårdar vi föräldrarna och möter även deras barn inom sjukvården. För att kunna förstå barnens situation och möta deras behov behöver vi få en inblick i hur barnen upplever att leva med en förälder som fått diagnosen cancer. Det har forskats en del inom området sedan mitten av 80-talet.

När ett nyfött barn kommit till världen utvecklas en känslomässig relation mellan föräldrarna och barnet. Om barnet skulle drabbas av en sjukdom, såsom cancer, förändras tillvaron och kraven för föräldrarna. I Sverige diagnostiseras ungefär 268 nya fall av cancer per år, hos barn mellan 0-15 år. De flesta barn överlever cancern och dödligheten ligger på ungefär 18 %. För sjukvårdspersonal innebär det ett möte med föräldrar som i allra högsta grad påverkas av barnets sjukdom.

Syfte: Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka vilka kommentarer och förslag bröstcancerpatienter i Uppsala/Örebro-regionen har avseende vården i samband med bröstcanceroperationen.Metod: Totalt 1573 kvinnor från kvalitetsregistret för bröstcancer i Uppsala/Örebro-regionen, som diagnostiserades med primär bröstcancer tillfrågades att delta i en enkätstudie. Av dessa besvarade 1050 kvinnor enkäten. Data insamlades med hjälp av en enkät med tre öppna frågor varav en ska analyseras i denna studie. Cirka 200 kvinnor svarade på denna fråga. Data analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Resultatet av studiedeltagarnas svar visade att det finns en stor variation i vårdtillfredställelse, i samband med operationen, bland bröstcancerdrabbade kvinnor i Uppsala/Örebro-regionen.
