The purpose of this study is to better understand, from a foster parent perspective, how the integration process of the foster child is carried out in the foster family. The purpose is to identify the challenges and success factors in the process. The study is based on a qualitative method. The data consist of interviews with six foster families. The study?s theoretical framework is mostly based on system theory and also on the theory of ambivalence.The results show that most of our families considered five factors to be important in order to facilitate the integration process.

This study was conducted on a property with a thinning machine team. The purpose was to investigate in which machine, the harvester or the forwarder, that caused most damage to the trees in six different stands. Different factors, related to the damage frequency in the stands, were checked out. For example: basal area per hectare, thinning strength, tree diameter and the rate of production. The harvester drivers were also interviewed about how, when and why stem damages occur and how to minimize them. The study stated that 4.3 percent of the trees were damaged. Out of these 88 percent was caused by the harvester and the rest, 12 percent, by the forwarder..

The present study examines a new production line of glue-laminated wood (glulam). The glulam is produced from non-planed boards of spruce, which also is convex, that is pressed together with high pressure during the gluing. According to a economic calculation, the material has a economical potential mainly on account of the absent planning. Iliotibialt friktions syndrom (ITFS) är en av de vanligaste överbelastningsskadorna som drabbar knäet. Traditionellt har skadan betraktats som ett friktionssyndrom, senare studier har dock hävdat att en kompression av underliggande fettvävnad är orsaken till diagnosen. Etiologin och patologin bakom diagnosen har därmed inte kunnat fastställas. Kliniskt tillämpas stretching, styrketräning av höftabuktorer, neuromuskulär korrigering och myofaschiella behandlingsmetoder i rehabiliteringen av ITFS. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att sammanställa det vetenskapliga underlaget för behandlingsmetoder vid iliotibialt friktions syndrom.

Through qualitative interviews, based on interviews of six active members in the organization Young KRIS (Young Criminal?s Return in the Society) examines the active social processes that the young members undergo, and motivates those who have been outside the expected conformed and regular society, to be included in the regular community and how this can be explained. This thesis describes a conceptual design of a support frame for a synchronousgenerator used in a vertical axis wind power plant. In this system the generator isplaced on ground level. The automotive industry is increasingly studying lightweight solution in their designs, also rational production and low costs in materials and manufacturing methods are of great interest. This thesis consisted in the practical evaluation of anchors for sandwich panels. The object was to study loads of shearing and pull out of the plane. The experiments were carried out on panels made up of 1mm aluminium coatings and 50mm extruded polystyrene (XPS) at its core. Det finns ett behov av att undersöka hållfastheten hos bergarterna i Kiirunavaara då gruvbrytningen sker djupare ned i jordskorpan och kraven på säkerheten ständigt ökar.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how customers' senses can be influenced by the experience of a visit to a tourist company and how six tourism businesses today utilize this phenomenon. The problem is that the phenomenon of sensory impact is a relatively newly discovered substance and not sufficiently established in the market.This essay is about how six selected tourism businesses use the human?s five senses during a visit by the companies. The information from each company is gathered by interviews that took place at each company with responsible employees. Synen en individ har på arbete och tron på sin förmåga inom yrkeslivet formas i många fall redan under tonåren. Anknytningsrelationerna till föräldrarna och det sociala stödet inom en familj påverkar den enskilda individens karriärsidentitet och framtida yrkesval. Studien syftar till att belysa aspekter av hur den upplevda synen på tonåren i efterhand gällande familjerelationer, skolgången och synen på arbete har spelat roll för enskilda individers nuvarande yrkesval, karriärsidentitet, och tron på den egna förmågan. Studien har genomförts genom kvalitativa intervjuer av en grupp chefer (med 5 chefer och 4 icke-chefer), och visade bland annat på att cheferna upplevde ett större socialt stöd från sin familj under tonåren, jämfört med icke-cheferna. Resultatet diskuteras utifrån aspekter som berör det sociala stödet betydelse för framtida karriärsval, och vikten av skolans betydelse för framtida yrkesval och karriärsidentitet.
