The aim has been to see if physical education (PE) is more an arena for bullying than swedish language education, in a swedish urban school. Furthermore to get an insight in the students sense of exposure to bullying in the locker room and during PE class. In the purpose is also included to analyse the answers in a gender perspective.Questions are: Is PE to wider extent an arena for bullying compared to swedish language education? Is the students? opinion that they feel worried about being and changing clothes in the locker room due to other students bad intentions? Do the students think that boys and girls bully in different ways?The method used is a questionnaire answered by 69 students in seventh and eighth grade in Åsö compulsory school. Furthermore, interviews has been made with a boy, a girl at the school and a teacher in PE to get a deeper insight above the questionnaire.Results of the study showed that the students to a wide extent, 100 % of the girls (g) and 89 % of the boys (b) thought that bullying can look different between PE and swedish language class.

Tack vare Sveriges bibehållet starka inhemska ekonomi i kölvattnet av finanskrisen 2008-2010 har en diskussion angående svenska kronans eventuella övergång från en procyklisk tillgång till en säker tillgång förts. Samtidigt har det inom populärvetenskap och bland yrkesmän även uttryckts åsikter mot detta påstående. Tidigare studier har gjorts på den amerikanska dollarns roll som safe haven, både genom analys av dess trend före jämfört med efter signifikanta globala händelser men även genom att undersöka dess betingade kovarians gentemot andra valutor. Liknande studier har dock inte genomförts lika grundligt för den svenska kronan efter finanskrisen. Denna uppsats syftar därmed att utröna om någon signifikant förändring i svenska kronans karaktär kan ses före och efter centrala händelser under finanskrisen.

With this master thesis I wanted to find out whether Erik Fichtelius, an SVT employee, interview project with prime minister Göran Persson is acceptable according to the public service ideology. In order to do that I used Swedish newspaper articles to analyse the so called Fichtelius affair. I also gathered material on SVT and the public service ideology. The master thesis is based on sociologist Manuel Castells theories on mass media and television as presented in the Information Age. Castells claims that in our time different areas, such as politics and television, are melting together.

Swedish farmers have the possibility to be subsidized by EU rural development programme for grazing animals on pastures to promote the biodiversity of flora and fauna. The environmental remedy sometimes does not allow supplementary feed and at the same time the Swedish Animal Welfare Act and the Swedish Agricultural Board?s regulations for animal welfare and protection states that animals, in this case horses, shall be fed with food of good quality and adapted for the species. The regulations also state that they should have an individual feeding regime that enables them to maintain a normal body condition. The aim with this master thesis has been to investigate if it is possible to keep Gotland ponies on extensive pastures, during late spring and summer and still maintain animal welfare. The horses were assessed every fourth week using a welfare assessment protocol developed in line with the Welfare Quality® project (submitted, Viksten et al) where physical, behavioural and resourcebased parameters were observed. Twelve one-year old stallions of the breed Gotland ponies purchased from different breeders were used in the study.

This thesis is an analysis of articles published in the Palestinian newspaper al-Quds concerning the escalated conflicts within the Fatah movement during the summer in 2004.The study is done on the basis of the assumption that The Palestinian Authority (PA) expects the domestic media institutions to support the official objectives and, in this case most important, the national unity. My investigation reveals that the articles are indeed highly adjusted and purposed to unify and to hinder further growing instability, both in the politicalsphere and in the streets. The message urging for unification under the PA is constantly, directly and indirectly, repeated throughout the articles by the choice of themes and references as well as by the choice of individuals and organisations delivering statements..

Fiskfaunan i Ekeby våtmark inventerades med hjälp av två metoder, fångst-återfångst och nätprovfiske, som i möjligaste mån använde metodiken vid standardiserat provfiske. Med fångst-återfångst metoden fångade jag sutare, abborre och småspigg, dock var fångsten av abborre och småspigg så liten att det inte kunde göras någon uppskattning av dessa populationsstorlekar. Uppskattningen av sutarnas populationsstorlek i damm 8 erhölls efter ett antal fångst och märkningstillfällen tills det fanns tillräckligt stor andel återfångst av sutare. De mjärdar som användes kunde bara fånga fisk av ett visst storleksintervall (35-120 mm) vilket troligtvis betyder att det enbart fångades 1- och 2-åriga sutare. Min uppskattning av antalet individer i populationen sutare (Lincoln Index) blev 1316 +/- 1127.

The thesis examines how sex/gender and sexuality are represented through text and images within the Internet community Sylvia whose primary target group is girls. Through an examination of the aesthetics, the member rules and the choices that constitute the framework for the site, the study observes Sylvia as a cultural context. In relation to this setting, the ten most visited member profiles at the time for the study are more closely examined. These profiles are studied from a constructivist view of sex/gender and are analysed from the perspective of feminist and quee r theory as well as in the light of feministic debates concerning sexuality and erotica. The thesis shows how Internet as a forum and the non-heterosexual context Sylvia open up for a constructivist understanding of sex/gender and also leads to a questioning of "masculinity" and "femininity".

We have the tradition in Sweden to build villas and houses with a wooden framework. It has become natural for us because we have so much forest in our country. Building with wood has advantages, it is easy to process, but also disadvantages, as it is sensitive to moisture.Finland has long made use of the thermal blocks to build villas. It is a type of bricks that are a bit like a sandwich element, with a core of EPS and concrete on both sides of the core material. The concrete is hollow, so that after the walls has been bricked up you pour concrete into the hollow bricks.The issue of this report is to find out if concrete can be an alternative to wood as framework material in villas.

Today we keep our horses in a way that is easy for us humans but may not always be the most optimal way for the horse. Often the housing of the horse prevents the horse from performing behaviours that they have natural needs to perform. It is not unusual that animals that can not adapt to their environment develop abnormal behaviours. Many of our stabled horses therefore develop some kind of stereotypic behaviour. This study was made in purpose of comparing the behaviour of a weaving horse to two non-weaving horses under similar conditions, where one of the horses was stabled next to the weaving horse and the other horse was stabled further away in the same stable. Seven weaving horses were included in the study.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur resultatet skiljer sig åt mellan stora och små fondbolags Sverigefonder. Skillnaden försöker vi förklara med avseende på organisationsstruktur och förvaltningsstrategier.Vi har valt ut tre svenska aktiefonder som förvaltas av tre olika storbanker i Sverige, samt tre svenska aktiefonder som förvaltas av tre mindre fondbolag. Vi har beräknat dessa fonders risk samt avkastning för att se vilka fonder som klarat sig bäst. De mått och modeller vi använt är standardavvikelse, beta, aktiv risk, CAPM, Alfa, Treynorkvoten och Sharpekvoten.Vi har försökt ta reda på hur de olika fondbolagen arbetar genom intervjuer, information från hemsidor på Internet och annat skriftligt material.Empirin består av presentationer av fondbolagen, fakta om de olika fonderna samt den information vi samlat in om förvaltningsarbete. Det sistnämnda innefattar hur många som arbetar med fonderna, hur de interagerar med varandra och hur det går till när de avgör vilka aktier som ska ingå i fonderna.Efter att ha räknat ut alla riskmått och avkastningsmått stod det klart att bankerna har presterat betydligt sämre än de mindre fondbolagen.

Bakgrund: Vanligaste behandlingsformen för bröstcancer är kirurgi, där ibland hela bröstet tas bort (mastektomi). Ibland görs bröstrekonstruktion efter mastektomi. Tidigare studier visar att mastektomi kan ha negativ inverkan på kvinnors livskvalitet och kroppsuppfattning. Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka hur kvinnor som genomgått mastektomi skattar sin livskvalitet och kroppsuppfattning, samt om samband kan ses mellan dessa. Syftet var även att beskriva om det finns skillnader i livskvalitet och kroppsuppfattning mellan kvinnor som genomgått mastektomi med eller utan bröstrekonstruktion.

This study examines how yoga is presented in a Swedish journal called Sökaren. Sweden is often presented as one of the most secular states in the world, and for that reason it is interesting to examine the Swedish way of religiosity by looking, in this case, at the depiction of yoga. I compare two periods of time, the first one from 1964 to 1974 and the latter from 1998 to 2008. I will thereby be able to examine tendencies and changes in the presentation of yoga. For a further understanding of the context around the elected periods this study introduces religiosity in Swedish society, such as Christianity and the New Age movement.

In the Darfur region, located in the West of Sudan, there is a conflict between rebel groups and the government-supported Janjaweed militia.
