The purpose of this thesis is to develop an application for mobile phones that simplifies communication. The company Doberman wanted to look at possibilities to develop such an application that uses Bluetooth? technol-ogy to communicate in ad-hoc networks. The aim has been an application to run on mobile phones in which you can send messages and files to other devices and also add a user profile with personal information to share with others. The communication will take place in temporary networks created when Bluetooth enabled devices is in range of each other.The market for mobile phones has grown rapidly over the past years and is still growing.

Genom hela arbetet har enkelhet och användbarhet varit ledorden. Detta för att man ska kunna implementera tjänster för en relativt liten målgrupp utan att behöva göra större investeringar. I linje med detta har möjligheter för att kunna erbjuda tjänsten till en större målgrupp och därmed få ned kostnaden per användare eftersökts.Rapporten börjar med en studie av 3G, WLAN och Bluetooth för att läsaren ska få en grund i de tekniker på vilka tjänsterna skulle kunna implementeras. Sedan diskuteras dagens tjänster och vilka önskemål om tjänster som framkommit från diskussioner med olika parter. Slutligen exemplifieras ett antal tjänster som skulle kunna tillämpas på dagens tekniker.Efter att ha läst rapporten skall läsaren ha fått en uppfattning hur mobila tjänster med hög överföringshastighet bör utformas för att underlätta kommunikation för funktionshindrade..

On some occasions it may be inappropriate with a cameraman behind the camera. In somecases there is no cameraman available or it is a smaller event, like a family celebration, to befilmed. It can also be difficult for a cameraman to shoot from certain angles. One solution forthis kind of situations can be to remotely control the camera movements. There are thosekinds of solutions on the market today but they either address professional filmmakers or thefunctionality is limited, for example by the absence of wireless remote control.This project aims to develop a solution to the problem with absence of wireless remote controland also a solution with more flexibility and less complexity than today?s solutions.

Olika sensorer kan kopplas in till en huvudenhet, sensordata loggas på ett minneskort och kan sedan läsas av från en PC.Programmet till PC:n är utvecklat under projektet. Detta program kan läsa av realtidsklockans tid för att kontrollera att denna överensstämmer med PC:ns klocka. Programmet kan även tömma minneskortet via Bluetooth och ladda ner all data som finns på minneskortet.

I detta examensarbete har det undersökts vilken teknik för trådlös kommunikation som passar bäst att användas då en ljudsignal ska strömmas trådlöst till multipla mottagare. De tekniker som jämfördes var Wi-Fi och Bluetooth. Andra tekniker för trådlös kommunikation, ZigBee, ANT+ och NFC, valdes bort för att deras maximala datahastighet eller räckvidd inte var tillräcklig. 3G och 4G valdes bort för att det krävs en licens för att få använda dessa. Som mottagare skulle i första hand Android- och iOS-mobiltelefoner användas.

This report describes the design and construction of a prototype that automatically aims a microwave link towards a target. The link, that is located on a mobile aerial mast, is used by Saab Training Systems as a part of an infrastructure network. The report also discusses the development of a GUI that communicates with the control unit by Bluetooth.The control unit, called Pan/Tilt-controller, controls the position of the link by stepping motors. One motor controls the azimuth angle and the other one controls the elevation angle.By a GUI the operator enters the coordinates on its own position and the targets position. Hereafter a bearing is calculated and it will be sent up to the control unit.The control unit will sense its own direction by a magnetic sensor that works as an electronic compass.

För att optimera sin teknik i olika kastgrenar använder idrottsmän på elitnivå idag mätningar med höghastighetskameror. Kamerautrustningen är dyr och svår att frakta. Utvärdering av det filmade materialet görs till stor del för hand. För att förenkla mätningarna fanns en ide om ett system som baserar sig på givare monterade inne i kastredskapet. Visionen är att bygga ett kastredskap som kan registrera sina egna rörelser under ett kast.

Vid tillfällen då det inte lämpar sig att stå vid en videokamera kan det lösas med ett fjärrstyrt kamerafäste. Exempel på tillfällen är på grund av platsbrist på en konsert, en högtidsceremoni där någon måste stå konstigt till för att få bra bild, ute i naturen där djur ska filmas utan att bli ivägskrämda eller vid personalbrist, en tight budget och måste styra flera kameror samtidigt. De system som finns tillgängliga på amatörmarknaden idag har antingen annan funktionalitet och passar sig inte för ovanstående problem eller har väldigt begränsad räckvidd och går inte att sammankoppla med en mobilapplikation.Detta projekt går ut på att ta fram en kostnadseffektiv och skräddarsydd lösning för ovanstående problem genom att utveckla ett fjärrstyrt kamerafäste i semiproffssegmentet där det via en handkontroll och vid senare skede med en mobilapplikation styr kamerans lutning och rotation även kallad tiltning och panorering.Skillnaderna mellan denna och befintliga lösningar är att med hjälp av Bluetooth-tekniken kan styra både med handkontroll och senare även med en mobilapplikation, anledningen till att det skall kunna styra med båda är att det inte alltid är tillåtet att använda sig av mobiltelefoner i alla miljöer där man vill filma och därför får ett bredare användningsområde för kamerafästet..

This report is the written part of a bachelorthesis on the computer engineering program atUniversity of Halmstad. The project was a cooperate project that where done together withFree2move Holding AB. Free2move is a company with eight employees in Sweden and four inMalaysia. The company is today developing Bluetooth modules and RFID chips. The market forthis kind of products is growing very rapidly, last year it grew 71 percent.
