The advantages with product placement in Blogs compared to traditional media is shown in earlier empirical findings where consumers found Blog posts more credible and informative than a corresponding article in a web paper. It can therefore be argued that the informal structure and personal tonality of the Blog reinforces the effects of product placement on brand attitude and intention to buy as the consumer has no persuasion knowledge and does not detect the rewriting of the product as commercial.This paper?s overall aim is to provide concrete implications for how to manage product placement on fashion Blogs. The purpose of the essay is therefore to investigate the communicative effects of product placement in fashion Blogs as well as to examine if a revelation of commercial interest behind a Blog posts about a certain brand effects the consumers? attitude towards the Blog and/or brand attitude and intention to buy.

The thesis explores representations of fatherhood in the Swedish Blog 'Hemliga pappan' ('Secret/Anonymous Daddy'). The purpose is to identify three themes in the Blog material; The Father, The Son and The Partner. I have performed this study using discourse analysis as methodological tool and Critical Studies on Masculinities and Fatherhood as theoretic approach. The theories are Social Constructionist and consist of sociologists and socio-psychologists as Connell, Hearn and Johansson. Important theoretic concepts are the presence and absence of the father as well as hegemonic masculinity.
Att blogga biblioteket - en kvalitativ undersökning om marknadsföring av folkbibliotek via bloggar
The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine how Blogs are used by public libraries for marketing purposes, and how librarians who Blog perceive their Blog as a marketing tool. The thesis is based on a qualitative study conducted using asynchronous e-mail interviews with librarians representing eleven different library Blogs. The theoretical framework and concepts are taken from marketing theory, including Kotler's marketing mix, relationship marketing, and theories on the marketing of non-profit organisations, knowledge organizations, the Internet, and Blogs. Our results and analysis reveal that libraries use Blogs because they are an easy tool to use, they represent a new way to inform users about the library, they are a way to improve contact with the users and a way to reach potential users. According to the librarians we interviewed, Blogs can be used to market libraries in a number of different ways: by disseminating information on the library and its various media and events, by providing a forum to demonstrate the skills of the librarians, and as a way of changing the image of the library.

The purpose of this thesis was to find out what experiences teachers have from using a class Blog in teaching. What are the advantages and disadvantages by the use of Blogs in education?I have used qualitative interviews with four teachers in grades 1 to 6 who have worked with a class Blog in teaching between one and three years.The study has shown that teachers' experience is that the Blog serves as motivation and promotes learning for many different pupils and that, together with other digital tools is more equal. The main benefits that teacher mention is the expanded concept of text that offers multiple forms of expression and the authentic reader, which makes it more real, important and meaningful. Other benefits that come up are that it helps students to see their learning and learn from and with each other.

We have studied the effects that Blogs have on the society through interviews with influential Bloggers, a news director and the founder of Sweden?s largest Blogprovider.Existing theoretical work by other researchers have been used as a starting point to our thesis. Via a deductive method we then proceeded to test these existing models and viewpoints on the reality.Through our research we have concluded that Blogs, if they co-operate, have an agenda-setting function, and that they can affect newspapers to write about certain topics.We have also discussed Blogs role as media watch dogs. Gunilla Sax, news director, questions the Blog world?s ability to fully cover all media, and to deliver a systematic and just review of the media.

Background: The background shows that since the consumption patterns constantly are changing and the Internet usage is growing it creates more opportunities for the companies to interact through new media. There are two ways to go for companies that intend to use social media as a marketing strategy, to be in the possession of their own information or get help from a third party.Problem definition: What factors are important in the long term survival of the companies when choosing a social media?Objective: The objective of this essay is to analyze and evaluate the personal Blog and the company Blog as an information technology strategy.Method: The essay will have a hermeneutic and quantitative approach in the form of a survey. Theories: Consumer Behavior, The Buying Decision Process, Involvement Theory, Business Concept, Branding, Total Communication Theory, Word-of-mouth/web and Service Profit Chain.Empiric: The empiric will consist of the results from the survey.Results: The result shows that the Blog is effective as an information technology strategy however the companies should adapt their choice of Blog to the products that they sell.Conclusion: Important factors for companies that seek long-term survival are involvement, communication and loyalty. It is also important to use a relationship marketing approach. .

In 2012 Blogging reached an all time high in Sweden. Around 400,000 people made Blog posts at least one time during this year. Blogs have publishing as a main purpose and can after publication be read by anyone with a computer, smartphone or tablet with an Internet connection. This makes the Blogger open to response through comments that can be either constructive or destructive. No research has been made regarding Blog comments and their effect on Bloggers and their writing process.

Aim With this study we want to highlight and analyze the media spin of the PR campaign Miss Skinny by clarifying; a diffusion pattern which covers posts published by Bloggers and journalists; a framing pattern from the first audited post to the last; how journalists are influenced by user generated content, and what consequences this may have for the news coverage.Method We have conducted a studied of news posts and Blog posts about the Swedish PR campaign Miss Skinny through content analysis, diffusion analysis and mapped direct links between Blog posts and news posts.Main result We found that a surprisingly large amount of news postings contained direct links to previous Blog posts and that the former media serial no longer can be applied on today's modern media where journalists and other players come together on the converged media arena. .

This study's purpose was to examine how a few members of the Swedish parliament described the result of the Presidential Elections in their Blogs.
