Today we can create digital 3D models which can be realised almost instantly through production methods such as 3D printing and computer controlled milling.What if this same technology could be applied to the development and construction of terrain parks?With snow as the material tools could be developed using similar principles to design and sculpt the surface, only on a larger scale.How would terrain park designers adapt their process to use this new technology? In this Industrial design thesis I explore how the ideas of the terrain park designer can be expressed through such a system with focus on the designers knowledge and skill without the need to learn complicated 3D programs.Sketch, create, ride. .

This master?s thesis investigates the technology and security awareness associated with wireless networks (WLAN). It has been stated by the media and theories that many wireless networks are unprotected. This has sparked an interest to investigate the phenomenon in the Jonkoping region. The study is based on the following research questions:- What security weaknesses are present with the WLAN-technology and how can these be avoided?- How does the wireless infrastructure in the Jonkoping region look like?- Why do companies implement the WLAN-technology?- Are the companies aware of the risks involved with WLAN?We conducted this study in three steps; the first step was to hack a wireless network in a controlled environment in order to investigate the weaknesses of the commonly used security measures.

Syftet med denna uppsats är dels att undersöka hur Sverigedemokraterna återgavs i landsortspressen kring valet september 2006 och dels att undersöka vilka faktorer som ligger till grund för hur partiet framställs.De åtta tidningar jag valt att studera är dels indelade efter politisk färg och dels efter vilka län de sprids i; två län där partiet har haft kommunala mandat från 2002 respektive två län där partiet inte haft det. Partiet gick i valet -06 fram i alla fyra län.Tidningarna har analyserats både kvantitativt och kvalitativt.Jag har dessutom intervjuat företrädare för tidningarna samt lokala företrädare för Sverigedemokraterna.Undersökningen visar att partiet framställs som någonting avvikande och hotande. Detta kan delvis förklaras av partiets kopplingar till rasistiska rörelser, men även av en allmän tendens hos medier att reproducera skiljelinjer mellan det normala, etablerade och det avvikande, hotande. I Blekinge, som är det län där partiet haft flest kommunala mandat redan innan 2006 och där partiet vuxit mest, tyder mycket på att tidningarnas bild av partiet alltmer börjar likna den övriga politiska rapporteringen. Ju mer partiet växer, desto mindre kommer det att framställas som avvikande..

The reason for this study is to settle the balance between technology and preponderance in war. Each theory claims its own superiority to be decisive when it comes to achieving military victories, but this study will show what actually happens when the two theories are analyzed together in the same conflict. To prove the conclusions, a case-study on Operation Gazelle is used. The study will describe the theories, what a military victory is and which party in the conflict came out victorious after this specific operation. Both sides? forces will be shown and compared.

Along with the development of technology, the cross-border trade is increasing and therefore there is a need for greater consumer protection. A good consumer protection creates a feeling of safety for the consumer and that by itself may help to increase cross-border trade. This is one of the reasons for why the EU has established regulatory framework for electronic commerce, for example the Directive2000/31/EC. The direc-tive strives to create a similar law for electronic commerce within the European Union. This paper?s main purpose is to ensure that the directive is implemented properly in Swedish law, and if there are other possible ways to achieve the objective, other than the ones that the Swedish legislator has chosen.

As the Sister Kenny Research Center isrecently started, it did not prior to this thesis project have a design process or structured way ofworking in design projects.The outcome of this thesis project is a comprehensive innovation strategy package with a set oftools to enhance the innovativeness at the Sister Kenny Research Center. Tidigare forskning pekar på flera olika faktorer till att kvinnor inte avancerar i samma utsträckning som män.

The military conflicts of the early 21st century have seen the introduction and rise of a new military technology: the armed drone. With the United States acting as the driving force behind this technological advancement, the U.S Air Force and intelligence agency CIA have madedrones their weapon of choice for pursuing suspected terrorists and insurgents in various remotelocations. American military leaders and policy makers assert that the armed drone?s high levelof accuracy make it the best available weapons platform for this task. However, new researchshows that the use of drones may result in more civilian casualties than previously thought, andmay in fact be more fallible than conventional aircraft in this respect.

När ska man egentligen börja med styrketräning för barn och ungdomar? Många ställer sig denna fråga, men kan inte svara på den. I denna kvantitativa enkätstudie undersöker vi hur det står till med kunskaperna om styrketräning för barn och ungdomar hos handbollstränarna i Småland-Blekinge Handbollsförbund. Går det att urskilja några likheter eller skillnader i kunskaperna om styrketräning i förhållande till tränarnas utbildningsnivå?Resultatet visar att det finns en viss skillnad mellan de utbildade tränarna och de tränare som saknar en formell tränarutbildning från Svenska Handbollsförbundet.

What does new technology do to this processes?The key purpose of this study is to investigate various composing processes. A further purpose is also to gain an awareness of how we use modern technology by computers and their notation programmes.The research design of this thesis includes a display of literature related to composing processes. along with an analysis of the writer?s own experiences in the area.

Elektronikföretaget Mobiltech AB i Karlskrona, Blekinge, var i behov av en ny webbapplikation och visade sitt intresse i att låta oss utveckla en ny mer dynamisk lösning åt dem. Deras mål med systemet var att de själv enkelt via ett webbadministrations gränssnitt skulle kunna redigera alla information på deras företags webbsida. Systemet som helhet omfattas av kategorier, informationssektioner samt en erbjudande panel. Som via en lösning av kod struktur och design, som vi från grunden byggt upp för att passa de behov som finns, bildar en administrerbar sida. Vi utvecklade projektet genom att använda oss av PHP5 och MySQL5. Dessa tekniker är något som vi har använt oss av genomgående under våra år på utbildningen. Vi valde dessa tekniker efter att ha övervägt fördelar och nackdelar samt undersökt andra lösningar som vi känner till.

International Ideas Competition? was the starting point of this study. The competition was launched the 15th of December 2006 and the closing date was the 31st of May.

Försämrat nutritionsstatus är ett vanligt förekommande problem hos äldre och en av orsakerna kan vara nedsättning i den kognitiva förmågan. Ytterligare faktorer som kan påverka försämrat nutritionsstatus är när äldre bor på särskilt boende eller är ensamboende i eget boende. Syftet var att beskriva samband mellan äldres kognition och nutritionsstatus i relation till ålder och kön, med fokus på äldre som bodde på särskilt boende eller var ensamboende i eget boende. Studien hade en kvantitativ ansats och byggde på redan insamlat material från SNAC-B (the Swedish National study on Aging and Care i Blekinge). Deskriptiv och analyserande statistisk användes i studien för att beskriva materialet samt undersöka samband.

There are experiential products that through a digital transformation wholly or partially have taken new place in our everyday lives. Just a few years ago, we had music on CDs, movies on tape and books in bookshelves. In Sweden, we are now facing a transformation when the e-book begins to take place alongside the printed book.This paper focuses on what values play a role in the attitude towards ebooks among a selected group of Swedish book bloggers. A qualitative content analysis was performed on blog posts concerning the ebook from twelve different Swedish book blogs. The posts were then coded into categories and values.

This research aims at identifying the opinion leaders in order to study their behaviour, characteristics, their role within the word of mouth process, and what importance they have upon another consumers purchase decision. Also, to investigate the content of the message being spread. The results from the study show that opinion leaders are strong in spreading word of mouth. Messages were adapted by opinion leaders to suite their target audience. The results further contribute to the discussion about Watts? ?influentials?..
