This paper is a statistical examination about how the European Parliament views questions about equality between women and men. It focuses on how the members understand gender equality depending on ideological standpoint, nationality and gender. In other words, it focuses on whether the politicians have different point of views depending on which parliamentary political group they belong to, which member state they are coming from or which gender (man/woman) they have.Equality between women and men is a complex problem. This paper is concentrating on two questions; the problem about setting up a European gender institute and the problem about gender mainstreaming.The examination, which is a statistical examination about how politicians were voting in both questions, shows that all variables, ideological standpoint, nationality and gender, are determining factors for their voting behaviour in questions about gender equality. I vårt examensarbete har vi valt att skriva om behovet av särskilt stöd i skolan där vårt syfte är att undersöka hur en grupp pedagoger ser på tiden när det gäller att hjälpa alla elever, hur pedagogers synsätt på en skola kan skilja sig åt, diagnosens roll samt hur pedagoger kan samarbeta för att tillgodose elever i behov av särskilt stöd. Vi vill se vilka de vanligaste orsakerna kan vara till att en elev är i behov av särskilt stöd. I litteraturdelen tar vi upp en historisk forskningsbakgrund, skolans roll, olika typer av resurser samt tre små avsnitt om de vanligaste svårigheter elever i behov av särskilt stöd kan ha. I forskningsavsnittet intervjuar vi åtta pedagoger på en skola i Blekinge för att få svar på vårt syfte och problemprecisering. Resultatet visar att neddragningarna på skolans resurser skapar bekymmer både för lärare och elever.

The flagellate Giardia intestinalis has been known to cause diarrhea in both man and dog. Results from epidemiological studies have indicated that transmission of the parasite from dog to man is plausible even though that route of infection has yet to be shown. Several international studies have shown that the parasite frequently occurs in asymptomatic dogs. In Sweden the prevalence of Giardia in healthy dogs is not known though. In this study, faecal samples were collected at two separate occasions from 21 litters and 21 bitches showing no symptoms from the gastrointestinal tract. The samples from each litter were pooled but the samples from the bitches were analyzed individually.

Kitron had wishes to be able to test and measure how disturbance affects their vehicle electronic units before they have been verified by SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden in Borås. This work started with the writing of a demand specification together with Kitron for a product PSQS, Power Supply Quality Simulator, which can generate some test pulses according to a standard for electronic units to Volvos vehicles. A design proposal was developed with the help the demand specification and was verified with the help of simulations. All electric schematics was designed with the guide of the design proposal. The pulses realized in the works of this thesis are those which Kitron experienced that they have a need to test in their own premises and which are possible to generate with the means available.

It becomes more and more important to decide whether to buy, lease or rent the forklifts to obtain an optimal economic situation. Many companies have issues with internal pricing. It is difficult to price products and services correctly. It is common to price the overall instead of what it really costs.The purpose of the thesis is to present a model for the acquisition of forklifts for internal logistic operations, regarding financing and internal pricing, to obtain economic effectiveness and an optimal forklift fleet size. The study focused on a specific research question, and for this purpose interviews with experts were held, observations were made and a literature study was done.

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short range wireless communication technology that enables data exchange between devices. NFC is used in many different areas, from subway tickets to authentication systems. This paper presents possible security threats to Near Field Communication and documented attacks that have been used to target various NFC protocols. Weaknesses in different NFC protocols will be presented and suggestions on how to counter certain weaknesses will be discussed. I want to look at the possibilities to start selling hot water from a small district heating plant with bioenergy. My reason for doing this project is to look at a new business opportunity for our farm. Our company have less work during the winter time compared to the spring and this project will give us more work during the winter. I also want to take as much material as possible for heating from our farm in order to increase the value of the products from the farm. The project is in a village near us, where we should support a school, a churh, a home for the aged, a kindergarten and a parish hall with heat. In my work I have compared two different alternatives with each other. The first alternative is to put a central heater in one of the buildings, the home for the aged, in which we will burn oat.

Detta kandidatarbete är utarbetat på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola under våren 2002. I utredningen har vi jämfört röstigenkänningsprogram under en treårsperiod, program från 1999 och program från 2002. 1999 års test visade på programvaror med lång träningstid, enkla gränssnitt, stor känslighet för bakgrundsljud och låg användbarhet. Vid arbetsstart förväntade vi oss inte att hitta någon större förändring i användbarheten hos dessa program 2002, då röstigenkänningsprogram inte verkar ha stor användarskara. Utifrån följande hypotes har vi genomfört arbetet: Vi vill med vår undersökning bevisa att användbarheten inom röstigenkänningsteknologi inte har förbättrats under perioden 1999-2002.
