The purpose of this essay has been to seek understanding of how young people in high school and adult education experience the use of educational media tools in teaching. Examples of questions submitted material has been: What are the positive and negative experiences of ICT in the classroom?The essay is of a qualitative nature, in which five students were interviewed about their experiences of ICT in the school environment. The result is analyzed from a sociocultural perspective and from an inward-student perspective.The results showed that students felt that it was difficult to absorb many of the ICT facilities as sources of knowledge in the school environment. Detta examensarbete har genomförts med anledning av att Norrvatten har önskemål om att få en rapport om de material som används i deras vattenledningsnät med fokus på typiska skador kopplade till ett specifikt material eller tillverkningsmetod. Det har framkommit indikationer om att kunskapen om rörmaterial och dess egenskaper med tiden har försämrats då den äldre generationens projektörer efterlämnat en kunskapslucka efter sig.Syftet med rapporten är att ge en god överblick av materialen i Norrvattens ledningsnät. Det krävs kunskap om materialen för att analysera sambandet mellan läckningsstatistik och materialets egenskaper.Informationshalten varierar mellan de olika materialen. Detta beror framförallt på materialets uppbyggnad och svårighetshalten att redovisa en klar och rättvis bild över dem. Materialen och dess information är uppdelade i kapitel för att underlätta för läsaren att på ett enkelt sätt förstå sammanhangen.Ett annat viktigt kapitel i denna rapport är beskrivningen över de anläggningsmetoder som valdes att tas med, dels markförlagda ledningar men också två schaktfria metoder vilka är infodring och rörspräckning.

The purpose of this research has been to find out whether and how teachers stimulate and motivate well achievers in the elementary school to reach a higher level. To gather information I visited two different schools within the same county in Stockholm and on each school I met and interviewed with two teachers. The answers received from these interviews are presented in this study as my results. I found that the teachers feel that students that do well in the classroom many times work as role models for the other students. Often these students require extra material as they usually finish their workload ahead of others.

The aim of this thesis is to explore and outline the cataloguing of sound recordings at two main Swedish audiovisual archives, The National Archive of Recorded Sound and Moving Images Statens ljud- och bildarkiv, SLBA and The Grammophone Record Archive of the Swedish Radio Sveriges Radios grammofonarkiv and its data base GAMBA. As non-book, non-printed, material in many ways differs from printed material, the institutions that deal with this kind of material have often developed their own rules for the cataloguing of it. The general codes for cataloguing, AACR2 and KRS, are insufficiently suited for audiovisual material. That is the reason why the IASA Cataloguing Rules, presented in this thesis, have been created. After the presentation of the IASA rules the problems of accounting for important sections of the catalogue record are discussed such as title, statement of respeonsbility, performers, physical description and notes.

Mainly focusing on the big picture regarding the research concerning the religious sphere in Bronze Age Scandinavia, the research field has been missing out on the smaller picture. The results have a tendency to produce a picture where the big landscape monuments, social structures and cosmology appear in the foreground. This essay is a comment to this phenomena and a methodological and terminological discussion regarding the way in which we as archaeologist?s works with questions about religion and rites. The main task though is to make an attempt in trying to identify the ritual performers and to answer the question whether it's possible or not to do that.

Syftet med vårt arbete är att undersöka vilka faktorer det finns som påverkar elevens läsinlärning. Pedagoger har stora mängder av material att välja på, och vi undersöker varför pedagogerna väljer som de gör. Genom att intervjua och samtala med ett antal verksamma pedagoger och utbildare av pedagoger på lärarutbildningen i Malmö så skapar vi en bild av de förutsättningar läsinlärningen har idag, relaterat till dessa yrkesområden. Nya styrdokument samt en ny lärarutbildning ger förändrade förutsättningar för lärande. Vårt resultat visar att oberoende av utbildning så rådfrågar aktiva pedagoger i första hand sina kollegor när det gäller didaktiska val och val av material, men ingen pedagog menar att detta är ett problem..

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur elever samarbetar i skolslöjden och vilka funktioner detta samarbete fyller. Genom att observera hur elever i årskurs nio samarbetade under slöjdlektionerna samlades material till studien in, material som sedan analyserades och kategoriserades.Resultatet av analysen blev fyra kategorier, eller typer av samarbete;Kunskapsförmedlande samarbete, Diskuterande samarbete, Samarbete när den egna kroppen inte räcker till samt Bekräftande samarbete. Analyser gjordes även av hur tillgängliga lärarna var under de olika lektionerna och hur detta kan ha inverkat på elevernas samarbete, samt rummet och arbetsmiljöns förmodade inverkan..

This master?s degree thesis stems from the new possibilities that digitization offers preserving and increased public accessibility of our cultural heritage, but also how a lack of co-ordination and standardization may result in short-term projects and lack of quality. The purpose of this thesis is to examine a selection of public libraries? digitization projects. The two questions posed are:How does a selection of public libraries conduct their digitization projects concerning a) goals and objectives, b) execution c) what resources they encompass?How well does their work agree with the recommendations that exists for goals, objectives and execution?To answer the questions interviews were conducted with persons in various ways involved with the digitization projects.

As demand for renewable energy is increasing rapidly, the market for biomass pellets is expected to continue to grow in the near future. Most of the new raw materials that are discussed for pellet production have one thing in common; the production costs will increase compared to using traditional raw materials such as sawdust and planer shavings. The aim of this thesis is to investigate to what degree increased use of new raw materials for pellet production will affect the general pellet prices in Sweden and to survey what plans Swedish pellet producers have concerning new raw materials. To investigate the raw material situation of the Swedish pellet producers an industry survey was performed. Literature studies were also made on previous research in the subject field. Calculations of the production costs for pellets were done for the raw materials sawdust, wet sawmill chips and energy wood respectively. New raw materials are already used by the large-scale pellet producers in Sweden.

The properties of this material has been studied and it was found that there is very little difference in what affect students in there choice of school, studies and career. Boys who choose hairdressing and styling differ more than girls who choose a career in technics. This is a surprising result which we didn´t expect. In researching background material we learned that it should differ more in perspective of gender. We have compiled the material around young people's choices to high school.

In this thesis, I discuss the impact Swedish national culture may have on Swedish diplomats. This is a qualitative study and I have used theories from studies of international negotiations to compare the oppositional results of those scientists with my interview material. With the help of my interview material from seven Swedish diplomats and five foreign diplomats I have compared their perceptions of Swedish culture, Swedish diplomats and their thoughts about the existence of an international diplomatic culture with well known sceientists of international negotiations. My main question is whether there is an international diplomatic subculture, without any national impact, or not. The mission is to base the thesis with earlier science and then compare and contrast with my interview material.

Studien syftar till att ta reda på och beskriva vilken medvetenhet som finns hos svenska textilkonstnärer när det kommer till produktionen av de textila naturmaterialen bomull, lin, silke och ull. Mina frågeställningarär hur svenska textilkonstnärer förhåller sig till ursprunget och produktionen i införskaffandet av deras textila material, samt hur de förhåller sig till ekologiskt respektive rättvisemärkt material i relation till sitt skapande.För att ge en bakgrund till detta inleds undersökningen med en kvalitativ litteraturstudie där jag beskriver den konventionella, respektive den ekologiska produktionen av de fyra ovan nämnda naturmaterialen, samt ger en beskrivning av textila märkningar och rättvis handel med textil. Genom en enkätstudie har jag sedan ställt frågor till tretton svenska textilkonstnärer som använder sig av bomull, lin, silke och ull för att ta reda på hur de förhåller sig till produktionen av dessa. Svaren från enkätstudien har sedan analyserats och resulterat i ett antal slutsatser; det finns stora brister i konstnärernas kunskaper kring produktionen av deras material. Flera tycker dock att de borde veta mer, och nio av tretton konstnärer svarade klart och tydligt att de var intresserade av att veta mer.

Previously when I have made proposals for privately owned gardens, I have found it difficult to find strong, extensive designs and to work with room and space. Since this is the field within which I am going to work in the future I feel that I need more experience, reference material and ideas on how I, in an early stage of the working process, can work with and consider room and space. The aim of this project has therefore been to procure experience, reference material and ideas for design of a garden in relation to space. To procure experience and reference material I have, during the fall of 2008, made two incredible study tours to France and to Japan. I have interviewed the landscaping architect Maria Arborgh and studied literature. I have also used a garden outside of Gothenburg in which I have been able to try out different thoughts and ideas regarding shape that have appeared during the course of my work. My conclusions about landscaping are that you should first find the different functions in the garden. The next step is to find an overall theme or shape, use a small number of materials, build a room with sealing, walls and portals with the help of vertical elements e.g.

The aim of this study is to analyze how intercommunication between offenders are presented with artefacts during the planning and implementation of a robbery in a cash depot in Stockholm. The methodological approach is based on empiricism from police investigation protocols, which leads this study to a case study. The ambition is to analyze the empirical material from a sociocultural perspective. The results shows that the offenders use artefacts to plan the crime with artefacts within an internal intercommunication between the offenders. After the planning artefacts such as a helicopter, explosive material, telephones, saws and ladders have been used in an intercommunication to implement the robbery which leads to an analysis that hierarchy depends on the role of the artefacts, only when technical artefacts are included in the term of hierarchy..
