Namely, to improve the material management so that this enables the bottleneck in the planing mill to keep a continuous  flow, and thereby minimizing the risk for production stops at LB-Hus.  Part.  1:  Identify  and  analyze the material management  connected to  the planing mill  in order to identify problem areas.Part.2:  Identify  improvement potential  in the material management connected to the planing mill.  Part.3: Suggest improvements in the material management connected to the planing mill. Theoretical framework: Process mapping, inventory accounting, balance safety, inventory availability / service levels, safety stock and reorder point, forecasting and routine descriptions.Empirical foundation:  Interviews carried out at LB-House,  illustrated with the help of process maps and a description of each process.  Conclusions:  To work with  the  suggestions  given  and  to  follow  clear procedures  in  all  processes would  result in  a more  efficient  inventory management,  it would also present  a  solution  to  the problem regarding the planing mill being a bottle neck.Suggestions for further research: Review and map the information flow from demand to production start.

Vi har skapat en broschyr och evenemangsbeskrivning enligt god informationsdesign åt Sundbyholms travbana. De ska användas för att utöka deras målgrupper. I vårt framtagande av det grafiska materialet har vi följt de riktlinjer som finns för god informationsdesign. De har vi gjort genom att vi skapade texter och layout som har god läsbarhet, läslighet, läsvärde och läsbehag. Vi har även tänkt på de riktlinjer som finns för radlängd vilket innebär att det inte överstiger 70 tecken.

This report compares two different types of insulation with regards to fire and moisture. The materials were tested for the company Fiskarhedenvillan AB, for a wall and a roof construction that the company currently uses in the establishment of Sweden's first certified passive house for international standards.Their current material, Rockwool, is compared to a relatively new material on the Swedish market called SEALECTION Agribalance sold by the company ISO Green AB. The material is a type of polyurethane insulation. This insulation material would result in a more efficient execution of the construction as it provides waterproofing and is applied more easily than Rockwool. From a fire standpoint, literature studies and discussions with fire experts led to results.

Hur kan studenter spara pengar på sitt boende? Enligt SSCO är bostaden den tyngsta utgiftsposten för studenter. Genom att kombinera vandrarhem med studentbostäder kan man göra det möjligt för studenter att spara pengar på sitt boende då de t ex åker till sin hemstad - över helg liksom sommar. Genom att lägga till studieytor och kontorshotell skapas en flexibel byggnad som ger och tar av varandras ytor beroende på tid, dag och månad.Synen på material har också spelat stor del i projektet. Vad händer med befintligt material då en byggnad ska transformeras? .

Det finns ett stort utbud av benersättningsmaterial att använda vid sinuslyft i samband med implantatbehandling. Autogent bentransplantat har länge varit ett populärt val trots nackdelar som t.ex. postoperativ smärta från donationsområdet och/eller eventuell sjukhusinläggning. Användning av substitut till autogent bentransplantat skulle kunna vara en lösning för att eliminera dessa problem. Vid utvärdering av implantatbehandling och tolkning av resultat används olika mätparametrar som t.ex.

Most companies have a bottleneck in their production, that is a constraining re-source. When the demand is higher than the capacity in the constraining resource it is impossible to produce the demanded output. This problem leads to delayed deliveries, unhappy customers and ultimately to decreased revenue. Bottlenecks therefore has a significant role in production and must be handled thereof.MW Power in Sävsjö, Sweden designs and manufactures water and steam boilers for the customer's unique needs. MW Power invested in a new plasma cutting ma-chine but the machine has not reached the expected capacity.

Denna rapport beskriver en produktutvecklingsprocess som behandlar utvecklandet av ett textilt material som isolerar och skyddar. Det textila materialet ska fungera till ett kylande fodral utan att förstöra dess funktion och behöver därför uppfylla en speciell kravspecifikation. Materialet ska isolera mot kroppsvärme, vara stabilt, skyddande och slitstarkt. Dubbelväv valdes tidigt i arbetet då det är ett enkelt sätt att kunna påverka det textila materialets egenskaper i form av material- och konstruktionsval, i en betydligt större utsträckning än i en enkelsidig väv. För att utveckla ett material med de efterfrågade egenskaperna har tester utförs och den metod som har använts är hypotesprövning.

The aim of this thesis is to compare two time periods in thehistory of the university library in Lund and to see whatsimilarities and differences can be found. The two timeperiods will be 1883-1900 and 1933-1950. The methodsused to achieve this will be comparative method with theactor- and structure model and document analysis. Thesubjects that will be analyzed with these methods will bepersonnel and the facilities. The two questions I will try toanswer in this thesis will be: A) What similarities anddifferences can be found concerning the personnel and thefacilities in the two time periods? B) What is therelationship between the actors and the structureconcerning the personnel and the facilities like in the twoperiods?A brief background of what took place in Sweden, LundUniversity and the university library of Lund itself duringour two periods is provided.

Edsbyverken Office Furniture has over the past 100 years been producing delicate carpentry products, chairs and skiis, but more recently the focus has shifted to furniture for the modern office environment. With a wide selection of products and its characteristic neutral design, Edsbyverken has an extensive group of clients both in Sweden and internationally. The aim of my C level thesis project was to examine the materials Edsbyverken is currently using in order to develop new designs or product functions. Simultanesously, I also wanted to verify whether the method I developed for this project - to initially undertake a comprehensive study of the chosen materials and thereafter specialise on a certain product and target audience ? was effective and successful.

Företaget Jakt & Skyttesystem AB har ett portabelt viltmålsskyttesystem som de vill utrusta med elektronisk träffmarkering som klarar av vapen av olika kaliber. Målet för projektet är att utvärdera och utveckla metoder för träfflokalisering i tavelskytte. Vi valde att utreda sensorsystem som inte begränsas av vapen med låg anslagsenergi. Därför har vi valt att endast utreda teknikerna ljudlokalisering i luft och fasta material samt bildlokalisering. Som utgångspunkt för projektet studerades hur befintliga skyttesystem fungerar, vilken sensorteknik och vilka material som används.

Examensarbetet utfördes på Saab Dynamics, ett företag där man har framtagning av bland annat understödsvapen. Produkterna är under ständig förnyelse och utveckling, i strävan efter ständig förbättring. Projektet handlade om att undersöka möjligheterna att ta fram tändsystemsdetaljer till ett lägre pris med funktionsmässigt tillräckliga egenskaper. Under arbetet undersöktes en rad olika tillverkningsmetoder och material teoretisk för att finna lämpliga alternativ till ersättande framtagningsmetoder. Bland annat analys av precisionsgjutning i zink, ett förslag som redan var under diskussion på företaget.

BakgrundMatematik är något som finns omkring oss hela tiden. Förskolans läroplan har under år 2010 blivit reviderad och blivit mer tydlig i vad både förskollärare och förskolans arbetslag skall sträva efter för att utveckla barnen inom matematisk begreppsbildning. Barn stöter på matematik i vardagen när de leker och använder sig av olika material, vid dukning och när de äter. Men för att barnen skall förstå att det är matematik de håller på med, behöver pedagogerna ha på sig sina ?matematikglasögon? och synliggöra matematiken i vardagen på ett lustfyllt sätt.SyfteSyftet med denna undersökning är att ta reda på i vilka vardagliga situationer som några förskollärare anser att de stimulerar barns matematiska begreppsbildning, vilka material som används vid dessa tillfällen och vilka kunskaper som de menar att barnen får möjlighet att utveckla.MetodVi har valt att använda oss av kvalitativ metod.

Denna undersökning handlade om mobila förskolans verksamhet där barnen hade möjlighet att vistas på varierande platser i naturen. I studien lade jag fokus på barnens egna initierade aktiviteter som skedde på olika platser och i olika miljöer och deras interaktion med naturen. Syftet av detta arbete var att undersöka betydelse av den mobila förskolans platsvariation när det gäller barnens egenvalda aktiviteter i naturen. I undersökningen används följande frågeställningar:? Vilka aktiviteter väljer barnen på olika uteplatser och i olika miljöer?? Hur använder de miljö och material?? Vilken betydelse har variationen av plats och miljö när det gäller barnens val av aktiviteter?För att få svar på frågeställningarna åkte jag under en fyra dagars period i en buss som hörde till en mobil förskola och observerade barnens aktiviteter i varierande miljöer och platser med hjälp av ett observationsschema.

The purpose of this essay was to find out if it is possible to:? Detect different groups of gender among children in grave materiel and church art and if that was the case, in what way?? What different groups of children can be seen in these two categories?? What does the material say about children's position in society? The time span is from early Christian time to 17-th century and the geographical region is Sweden and Denmark. I got my information from published literature and different pages on the Internet. The conclusions were that gender among children can be detected in both types of material but different groups were not ?visible? to the same degree.

The waste of material is a big expense for manufacture companies caused by lack of quality. The cost by lack of quality often totaled to a big percentage share of the turnover when all cost related to lack of quality is included. New manufacturing systems like Lean production or Just In Time demands better internal quality for the manufacturer. To make those manufacturing system with small and none buffer stock successful the quality improvement continuously have to be developed.Measuring of waste of material in Bubs Candy?s factory where not simple due to the products does not have a permanent weight during the manufacturing process.
