I denna uppsats presenteras en jämförande studie av tre gators rumsliga begriplighet (intelligibility). Studieobjekten är Trollebergsvägen, Karl XI-gatan och Öresundsvägen i Lund. Öresundsvägen är föremål för exploatering under kommande år. Här kommer det att skapas en mängd olika byggnader där olika grupper i samhället kan bosätta sig och leva. En rad nya företag kommer att etablera sig.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka och presentera hur ett SMS-baserat deklarationssystem har påverkat personalen på skatteverket. Frågeställningen har varit att utforska de förändringar som SMS-deklaration kan åstadkomma för personalen i skatteverkets kontor i Lund. Resultatet från studien visar att personalen har en positiv inställning till användandet av det nya systemet. Intervjuerna har tydligt visat oss att SMS-deklaration eller e-deklaration över huvudtaget har en nyckelroll i dagens deklarationsprocess. De viktigaste fördelarna är bättre effektivitet och enkelhet, som i sin tur ger en betydligt billigare tjänst.

Abstract: Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe the situation for independent hotels. With a thorough case study of ?The Grand Hotel in Lund? ,our intentions is to gain knowledge about the demands a hotel must keep up with in order to be a successful independent hotel, in a market dominated by chain-constellations. Methodology: An abductive method is used as the study form the basis for hypothesis. The first part of the thesis, which describes the line of business, is based primary on secondary data.

As a previous employee at the department of logistics at Volvo Penta I?ve taken part of the environment, information and prerequisites that this thesis discusses on a daily basis. Case studies have been used for the collection and analysis of data concerning packaging logistics as I?ve chosen to consider only specific markets and packaging.Conclusions This thesis has highlighted the demands that are placed upon engine packaging throughout all concerned units and how these demands affect each other, positively and negatively.

The aim of this master thesis is to study how academic librarians can overcome the gap between themselves and the user. The gap, as we see it, is generated by the user's deeper knowledge surrounding her subject in comparison to the librarian. This knowledge gives the user possibilities to handle certain discourses attached to the subject and a knowledge how sub-subjects relate to each other within the main subject. At the same time the user is in need of help to find information within her subject, this need needs to be explained to the librarian as a search expert. The scope of this master thesis is to find how the librarian, tactically, can reach the users need despite lack of subject knowledge.

This paper investigates the level of consciousness regarding to the diversity work in the municipalities of Malmö, Lund and Landskrona. The study focuses on persons in a middle management position connected to various spheres of activities in each municipality. A survey concerning each municipality's diversity plan, diversity work, recruiting process, education and knowledge was used to investigate the participants' consciousness. The survey poses similar questions regarding equality between the sexes to compare the results from each field. The paper presents an overview of the development of Sweden's labour market and society, and gives an account for the differences between immigrants and natives positions in the labour market.

This work aims to obtain information on diurnal variations of aerosol concentrations in thecity of Lund (Sweden) and trying to locate the origin of the aerosols long distance transports.The study shows that the aerosol concentrations varied quit strongly over the entiremeasurement period, reflecting air masses of different degrees of pollution, mainly as a resultof the diurnal rhythm of the traffics. Trajectories reveals that air masses originated inSoutheastern and Eastern Europe contains higher aerosol concentrations compared to other airmasses..

The aim of this study was to find out if hypertext structure has any relevance for the efficiency of information retrieval. An experiment, in which three variants of hypertext structure were compared, was carried out in the autumn of 1998. Three websites with different structures were constructed for this purpose: a sequential version, a hierarchical version and a webcluster version. 44 subjects, all students at the University of Lund, were randomly divided into three groups. Subjects were requiered to answer a number of questions using one of the three versions.

Problem: Den svenska sjukvården granskas allt oftare och resultaten pekar ofta på samma sak, resurserna används inte särskilt väl och kunskapen om hur de används saknas. Det finns i ett tilltagande behov av att ändra och förnya arbetssätt samt ta reda på vad patienten verkligen vill, för att utnyttja resurserna som finns på ett bättre sätt samt skapa förutsättningar för att förbättra kvaliteten. Sjukvården står därmed inför nya utmaningar. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att bidra med kunskap om implementering av lean i svensk sjukvård utifrån ett tjänsteperspektiv Frågeställning: Hur fungerar implementeringen av lean i sjukvården och vad är avgörande för att kvalitetsfilosofin ska få fäste i organisationen? Metod: Vi har valt att göra en kvalitativ fallstudie på Universitetssjukhuset i Lund där vi har genomfört kvalitativa intervjuer med personal på olika nivåer, utfört en observation och lyssnat till två föreläsningar.

Brf Hallqvistska gården är belägen på Kävlingevägen 36 i Lund. Föreningen består av sex hushåll, vilka gemensamt nyttjar och ansvarar för hur trädgården ska disponeras ochskötas. Trädgården utmärker sig genom att den är ritad av Ulla Molin och dessutom kom att bli denna tongivande trädgårdskvinnas sista trädgårdsuppdrag. Trädgården anlades1992-1993, då även tre nya hus byggdes och de befintliga 1800-talshusen renoverades på ett för helhetsintrycket känsligt sätt av arkitekt Gunilla Svensson i samarbete medinredningsarkitekt Märta Bergström. Dissatisfaction with the current market for scientific publishing, dominated by a few large publishers able to obtain high subscription fees, gave birth to the Open Access movement. One problem for the Open Access movement, which aims at making research results freely available, is that scientists are reluctant to publish in journals that are free on the Internet, so called Open Access journals. This master's thesis aims at showing how scientists reason about their own publishing in scientific journals. It is investigated which factors are important when scientist decide on which journals to send their articles. The aim is to increase the understanding of scientists' views on Open Access.Six interviews were conducted with scientists in Biomedicine at Lund University.
