The goal of this Masters thesis is to examine how people at the production department of Arkivator Falköping AB perceive the internal organisational communication transfer and exchange of information, by means of a communication audit. The objectives are also to characterise the communication climate and the respondents satisfaction with the internal organisational communication within the organisation. The results of the study are compared with the companys information policy and with previous research in organisational communication. Answers from different demographic groups within the population are compared. The communication audit was conducted using a modified and added version of a questionnaire originally compiled by the International Communications Association.

In my essay I will study the injustice within science in movies, in this particular case: Archaeology. This essay will also examine whether there is reason to believe that there is aconnection between this unfairness and what's being displayed of the archaeologist in popular culture. In my case I have decided to focus on the movie industry because it's a dominant part of our daily life. I have chosen to explore two different groups of students studying an occupation. One is, of course, the archaeological institution at Lund University, and the other is a high school (upper secondary school) program called ?Omvårdnadsprogrammet? at Rönnens in Malmö.

Spårfaktorn är ett begrepp som idag används inom trafikplanering men utan att det finns en enhetlig definition. Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att definiera spårfaktorn genom att göra en begreppsanalys. Detta har gjorts genom att titta på tidigare forskning samt tidigare utredningar av spårvägsprojekt. Även pågående spårvägsprojekt i Lund och Malmö har undersökts genom intervjuer med nyckelpersoner för att få ett bättre grepp om hur begreppet används idag samt för att kunna pröva begreppet. Vårt resultat har visat att ett antal faktorer utgör kärnan för begreppet spårfaktor.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate what prompts student nurses to seek information required to their educational tasks and how they evaluate and utilize that information. The questions addressed in this thesis regard how information retrieval becomes part of student nurses? social practice; which physical and intellectual tools student nurses make use of in their education; and which mediating resources they use to perform their tasks. Roger Säljö?s sociocultural approach provides the theoretical framework for this thesis.

This makes de management of information complex. To mange, monitor and analyze the information, companies can use a system called Business Intelligence. BI system is an analytical system that extracts and converts data into useful information that helps employees to make informed decisions.

The aim of this Master Thesis is to examine how the national intranet at Nordea serves the organisation as a channel of information and communication. The intranets of today, have partially or completely come to replace other channels of information within larger organisations, and the intranet has become an increasingly important issue to the communicational process of organisations. To address the problem stated, qualitative interviews was accomplished with several employees at a department at Nordea. The achieved result reflects how the intranet supports variable everyday end-user situations. The result shows an intranet that is sparsely used in comparison to other channels of communication such as colleagues.

The purpose of this Master's thesis was to examine how and what trainee teachers are being taught about information seeking and school libraries related to problem-based teaching method in compulsory school. The questions at issue were: How have trainee teachers learned about information seeking? How have trainee teachers learned about using school libraries? We also wanted to know which education they have got in information seeking and school libraries. We examined this through both literature and empirical studies. We used a qualitative method in order to answer the questions at issue.

Hjärtinfarkt leder årligen till att många mister sitt liv runt om i världen. Vilka riskfaktorer som finns för att drabbas av en hjärtinfarkt och vad en hjärtinfarkt innebär är viktig information. Symtom och behandlingar som är kopplade till hjärtinfarkt är viktigt att sjuksköterskan ändå informera patienterna om samt vilka rutiner som finns och kunna skapa en bra vårdrelation. Om sjuksköterskan har kunskap om vilka informationsbehov patienterna har kan detta leda till att patienterna upplever trygghet och känner sig delaktiga i sin vård. Syftet med detta arbeta är att belysa vad patienterna önskar för information vid en hjärtinfarkt.

In order to reduce the number of casualties and injured from accidents the rescue service must become more efficient and flexible. It is noted that far more people is injured and killed in traffic accidents than from fires. During the daytime the number of accidents in about three times higher than during the night, even so today the number of fire fighters on duty is the same day and night.Two computer models for simulation of different locations of the rescue services are used to determine the best options for placement of the rescue services. A cost-benefit analysis is also used to determine if today's fire stations are efficient for the society from an economical point of view.The results of the different models are that the fire station in Lund is misplaced. The number of ladders in Malmö can be reduced.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the information need of the incubators that comes from Chalmers University of Technology and are situated at Chalmers Innovation. It is also of interest to investigate how Chalmers University Library covers this information need. The investigation was carried out using qualitative interviews with representatives of the incubators. They were asked questions about the perceived need of information and which type of contacts they had with the library. The result is that the incubators feel that there is a great need for business information that is hard to find.

Asthma is the most common chronic illness in children. Re-admissions to hospital are common and asthma has a significant impact on children and their families. The purpose of this study was to describe the outcome of the nurses? information and education handed to the family. The result of this literature study was based on 14 scientific articles which evaluated the families? knowledge and the illness? impact on daily life after different ways of asthma information and education.

Därav finns det ett behov bland beslutsfattare att använda ett datorbaserat verktyg för att svara upp mot de höga kraven som ställs.SyfteDenna studie utvärderar analys- och rapporteringsverktyget QlikView och hur införandet av detta system i Jönköpings kommun påverkar första linjens chefer inom två av kommunens förvaltningar. Olika nyttoeffekter kommer att identifieras och utvärderas för att förstå vilket mervärde QlikView kan ge beslutsfattarna.MetodKvalitativa och kvantitativa metoder har använts för att utvärdera faktorer i samband med införandet av QlikView. Dessa metoder har använts för att få en så rättvisande bild som möjligt av verkligheten.

The aim of my ?two years master thesis? was to examine school administrators perceptions about important information literacy skills that the students should be able to control, perceptions about what role the teachers and the librarians have in teaching students information literacy and perceptions about the collaboration between these groups. My questions have been: Have the school administrators reflected upon the conception of information literacy? What conceptions do school administrators have about important information literacy skills that the students should be able to control? What role do they consider the teachers and the librarians to have in making all students information literate? How do they consider the collaboration between the teachers and the librarians work? What role do they consider themselves to have on a management level to make all students? information literate? I used a phenomenographical method and carried out six qualitative interviews with school administrators from five senior high schools in the municipality of Gävle. Both public schools and independent schools were included in the study. Most of the school administrators considered information literacy to be the same as criticism of sources, which they also considered as one of the most important information literacy skills.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är i första hand att utröna vad som händer med interaktionsspråket mellan operatör och och maskin då ett gränssnitts aktiva yta förminskas. På ett övergripande plan kan syftet utryckas i termer av vad som händer med användarens varseblivning och förståelse av gränssnittet då detta krymper.Det konkreta syftet med detta arbete är att utröna om det går att ersätta ett nuvarande foliegränssnitt (42 x 42 cm) med en pekskärm (10 x 7,5 cm) som har en aktiv gränssnittsyta som svarar mot c:a 10 % av foligränssnittets.Utvecklingen av pekskärmsgränssnittet har gjorts i samarbete med Tetra Pak i Lund. Pekskärmsgränssnittet, som skall ersätta foliegränssnittet, hör till en förpackningsmaskin som emballerar dryckesförpackningar i kartonger. Guidelines av Ben Shneiderman (1992) har legat till grund för gränssnittsutformningen.Utvärdering av det nya pekskärms- och det gamla foliegränssnittet har genomförts med ICS-metoden (Interacting Cognitive Subsystems) och fokus har varit på vad som händer då gränssnittet krymps. En jämförelse mellan gammalt och nytt gränssnitt ligger till grund för att peka på kognitiva förändringar som det nya gränssnittet kan tänkas medföra.Det teoretiska syftet med detta arbete är att utvärdera ICS-metoden i sig, samt att jämföra denna med Shneidermans guidelines..
