The world today is experiencing an AI summer, urging us to engage with its technologies on a daily basis. Recently, researchers have begun to voice concerns about the potential risks if we do not address the inherent biases in these systems. After all, AI is merely code based on mathematics produced by humans.
This essay focuses on Stable Diffusion and Midjourney to examine biases in fashion representation and how fashion is visualized and reproduced concerning race, social class, and culture. A series of prompts were intentionally written in simple terms such as ?rich,? ?poor,? and ?race.? The results revealed troubling biases, as these programs consistently depicted poor individuals as people of color and portrayed wealthy, elegantly dressed individuals as exclusively white..

This study is intended to give an impartial view of a young and complex program in Sweden titled Product Innovation Engineering program. The purpose of this program is to increase innovation capability in Sweden that will result in new companies, patents and economic growth. The results from this study might give some direction to future innovation initiatives, but should primarily serve as a tool for the PIEp participants. The study will focus on investigating the creation of the program as well as the development of its strategy. From weaknesses and strengths within the strategy of the program the study should also attempt to show its future potential.
Effektiviseringsåtgärder i tryckluftsystemet hos Vattenfall Värme Uppsala
In this work an assessment of the compressed air system in the facilities of Vattenfall Heat Uppsala has been conducted. The facilities constitutes, among others, a combined heat and power plant, and two waste incineration plants. The compressed air is supplied primarily by seven rotary screw compressors and yearly electric energy consumption in these has been determined. Furthermore, the usage of compressed air has been mapped in order to find processes with energy savings potential. Several suggestions how to reduce the usage of compressed air have been presented, resulting in decreased need of electric energy and reduced CO2-emissions.The results show that total need of electric energy in the compressors, during a standard production year, amounts to 5.83 GWh.

Many people perceive a division between an online world and the ?real? world outside of the World Wide Web. However, this view often leads to a reduced sense of importance ascribed to what takes place online, even though it affects life in very real ways. In our study we aim to explain the importance of how meaning is built in to sociomaterial compositions. By analyzing comment fields hosted by a Swedish IT-journal we illustrate how what is being said interplays with the technological platform in various ways.

IT används idag flitigt inom offentlig sjukvård. Detta innebär dock inte att man använder ITtill sin fulla potential för att skapa nytta inom verksamheten. I sjukvården lyfter man framdetta problem under den så kallade produktivitetsparadoxen, som ställer frågan varförtidigare omfattande investeringar i IT till synes inte genererat de produktivitetsökningarsom man ursprungligen hade förväntat sig. Utvecklingsarbete pågår för närvarande medmål om att förbättra kvalitet och effektivitet i den offentliga sjukvårdens processer fram till2010. Detta visar tydliga tecken på ett behov av att implementera IT effektivt så att mankan öka verksamhetens produktivitet.Syftet med den här studien var därmed att ge en inblick i offentlig sjukvård för att ta redapå hur väl man lyckats implementera IT-relaterade förändringar och innovationer samtvilka utmaningar som finns.

The foundation of our study is five strategically selected printed advertisements which all contains signs that refer to digital medias. Through a quality content analysis, we are studying how advertisers may use a room with extended communication too enlarge the space given in a printed advertisement. The potential in these rooms are proposing a social connection and a flexible interaction by providing content that is not possible to create in a printed advertisement. The form of communication is changing and there is a two-way communication created in an obvious way. The different kinds of roles in the communication process are here partially integrated with each other.

Ett väl fungerande nätverk kan hjälpa företag att förbättra sin produktivitet och skapa möjligheter till affärer. För att utnyttja fördelarna som nätverk kan skapa har Kista Science City AB sedan år 2000 aktivt arbetat med att skapa olika projekt och nätverk, med avsikt att stimulera tillväxt i regionen Kista Science City, framförallt hos de mindre företagen. Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva de relationer som företagen inom nätverken kopplade till Kista Science City AB har, med hjälp av ARA-modellen. Social and economic consequences of wolf (Canis lupus) establishments in Sweden
Wildlife contributes with many benefits to humans but also brings economic costs. From being eradicated in Scandinavia the grey wolf (Canis lupus) is returning to South-Western Sweden and people are not used to its presence. In Scandinavia carnivores have to co-occur with humans in a landscape used for many different interests. Consequences of wolf establishments are e.g. competition for moose, depredation on sheep and attacks on hunting dogs.

Structural changes on the grocery market usually take place when the consumer is persuaded to take on the more labourintense parts of the distributionprocess. Internettrade changes this by causing competition between the unpaid work done by consumers and the labor performed by employees. In this master thesis grocery shopping on the internet is analyzed in a economic perspective with focus on distribution, changing marketstructures, driving forces and the future potential of internet as a saleschannel. The main conclusions are that consumerdemand and the belief in electronic commerceas a costreducing mechanism as well as a powerful new marketing tool were the driving forces behind the fast growth of grocery shopping on the internet. The purpose of this study is to investigate ethnic discrimination in the recruitment process. National and international law protect individuals from ethnic discrimination by potential employers during the recruitment process.Despite the laws in place to protect human rights, minorities in society do not have the same opportunities in the labor market as the rest of the population. Minorities continue to have difficulties compared to Swedish nationals in the recruiting process. Highly educated immigrants seeking employment in Sweden continue to report being treated unfairly based on their ethnic background.Ethnic discrimination in the recruiting process is based on prejudice and stereotypes that affect decisions whether it is visible or hidden, intentional or unintentional.Under the law, it is not legal to base a decision on prejudices or stereotypes. Therefore, it is important for the employer to highlight the job requirements to ensure the recruitment process is ethical.

Systematisk processutveckling : Eliminering av pluggar i fluffer
Ljudbaserade spel är ett relativt outforskat område inom dataspel men är samtidigt en typ avspel med stor potential. I rapporten granskas tidigare forskning kring ljudbaserade spel utangrafik och hur vi uppfattar ljud i vår omgivning med både fokus på underhållning ochutbildning. Fokus läggs också på att undersöka synskadade som målgrupp för den här typenav spel. Under arbetet skapas en prototyp av ett ljudbaserat spel där syftet är att undersökaolika navigeringsmetoder för ljudbaserad navigering. Ett antal deltagare får sedan spelaspelet och resultaten sammanställs för att få en bild av hur deltagarna klarade att lösauppgifterna som spelet är konstruerat med och även hur spelaren upplevdespelgenomgången.
