Syftet med uppsatsen är att ur ett narratologiskt och bildanalytiskt perspektiv studera hur denförfattande konstnären Shaun Tan arbetar med de två uttrycksformerna ord och bild iBilderboken Det röda trädet. Boken som ett helhetsobjekt, berättelsens kronologi, text ochbildtekniker, symboler och färgval analyseras för att ge svar på frågeställningarna. Analysenstöder sig till stor del på den metod och teori Ulla Rhedins utarbetat i sin avhandling:Bilderboken. På väg mot en ny teori. Analysen visar att Det röda trädet tillhör kategorin dengenuina Bilderboken.

The purpose with this study has been to get a previous knowledge about how pre-school teachers look at the impact of the picture book for children and their language development and participation at the age of three to five years. The study was carried through inquiries at a pre-school in a west Swedish urban district. The study proceed from the sociocultural theory which means that children learn by teamwork with other more experienced individuals. The result shows that the pre-school teachers consciously let the interest of the children guide the choice of books. At the same time they push for the meaning of conversation with the children.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the narrative in You are a bad man, mr Gum! to be able to understand and explain the intermedial aspects of the work. I assume an intermedial, narratological and reception theory perspective in my analysis. The method of close reading is used combined with a reader-oriented perspective. I examine the medial aspects of the chosen work through the pictures, the text, and the iconicity of the typographical pattern of the text. To reach my goal, the following questions are dealt with: What is the character of the narration? How do the various media interact in the production of meaning? What is the relationship between the text and the implicit reader? What is the narratological difference between reading the book aloud and silently? The theoretical framework f the paper consists of narratological and intermedial theories.

The purpose of this study is to analyze picture books from a gender perspective. The books are found in a book box that the libraries send out to preschools. This study is based on the following questions:How are boys and girls portrayed in picture books?Do the picture books encourage or discourage the principles of equality found in the Curriculum for the Pre-School and the equality work conducted in the preschools?I performed a qualitative text and picture analysis of 12 picture books. I used Maria Nikolajeva and Kajsa Wahlströms schedule of typical masculine and feminine qualities and activities when analysing the picture books.

The Picture book - text and image in interaction. A study of Tove Jansson's picturebook: The Book About Moomin, Mymble and Little MyThis study examines Tove Jansson's picture book The Book About Moomin, Mymbleand Little My, to show relationships between text and image in the narration of thestory. This is done through an analysis based on Ulla Rhedins dissertation The picturebook - towards a theory where the conclusion is that the picture book as book mediumcan be divided in three different picture concepts. The various concepts are; the epicpicture book, the expanding text as well as the genuine picture book. This study hasperformed a text and image analysis showing that the image colors, the differentspreads, landscape scenes and characters' placement, et cetera play a role in placingthe picture book in its concept.Tove Jansson used more than text and image to work out the story of theMoomintroll, Mymble and Little My, there are holes in the picture book that have animportant role, which the analysis will show.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka vad verksamma förskollärare har för inställning till Bilderboken samt dess kopplingar till förskolan, läroplan och mångfald. Det empiriska resultatet föregås av en forskningsbakgrund som berör Bilderboken, dess roll i förskolan samt kopplingar till läroplanen och mångfaldsperspektiv.Studien var av kvalitativ karaktär bestående av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Det empiriska resultatet består av intervjuer med sju verksamma förskollärare. I resultatet redogörs för vad de har berättat om gällande Bilderbokens roll på respektive förskola samt vad för tankar de har kring urval av bilderböcker. Vidare berörs även deras tankar kring kopplingar till läroplanen och mångfaldsperspektivet, utifrån Bilderboken.Resultatet visade att samtliga förskollärare anser att Bilderboken har en viktig roll i förskolan.

This study analyses five different picture books from the last few decades. The aim of the analysis was to investigate how relations between children and adults are presented in the picture books. One way to achieve this has been to focus on the adults? presence or absence in the narrative, and also what kind of authority the adult(s) can have in the action and how it can affect relations between children and adults. The idea is that this degree project can be adapted for practical use in school.

The aim of the study is to show how children and adults are described in three picture books, examining how children and adults are portrayed in text-and-picture narrative and how this has changed over time. We have analysed how the characters in the books are presented and how the representation of children and adults has changed in our own times.The material for the study consists of three picture books from different periods, with the focus on how children and adults are described as the common point of departure. The analysed picture books are: Tomtebobarnen (Beskow 1919), Aja baja, Alfons Åberg! (Bergström 1972) and Snäll (Dahle 2008).We have arrived at the conclusion that a text-and-picture narrative is in very large measure a reflection of the outlook on children, childhood and child rearing at the time when the book was published. The result shows that the greatest change that has happened is that parents? and adults? dominance in the books has declined over the years, and that children have been given a more prominent role.

The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between text and picture in two works by Sven Nordqvist, with the focus on how the action is propelled. The two works are compared in order to bring out any differences in the relationship and what significance this can have for the interpretation. The study also considers the theory of conceptual worlds to examine how the books can promote pupils? literary understanding. The method of analysis is based on Rhedin?s (2001) theoretical concepts and elements of Nikolajeva?s (2000) terminology.

Det här examensarbetet är en kvalitativ intervjustudie som har som syfte att ge en förståelse för hur pedagoger uppfattar att små barns språkutveckling påverkas av böcker och framförallt av vilken sorts språk som används i böcker. Vi har delat upp syftet i tre olika forskningsfrågor som infattar vad pedagogerna anser om småbarnsspråk i litteratur, hur de använder sig av litteraturen och till sist hur det påverkar barns språkutveckling. Vi har noterat att många böcker som vänder sig till små barn inte har en korrekt eller fullständig svenska i sin text, de använder sig av så kallat småbarnsspråk. Vi har också frågat pedagogerna hur de använder sig av litteraturen i barngruppen.Vi har intervjuat fem olika pedagoger med olika erfarenheter och arbetsplatser. Sedan har deras uppfattningar jämförts med vad tidigare forskning om små barns språkutveckling samt forskning om småbarnslitteratur visar.

The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate four children?s librarians? literature view and their collaboration with pre-schools. My main question at issue is ?What literature view do children?s librarians in this thesis have and how does this reflect their collaboration with pre-schools??. Another purpose is to study the canon process in relation to children?s libraries and pre-schools.

Vi lever i ett mångkulturellt samhälle där kulturmöten är en del av vardagen. Vi ska bli lärare och eftersom litteratur har en central roll i skolan anser vi det därför vara viktigt att vara medvetna om vilket budskap barnlitteratur sänder. Syftet med vårt arbete har därför varit att undersöka hur mångkultur skildras i barnlitteratur. Vi frågade oss vilka värden som formuleras, i vilka fall mångkultur skildras samt om barn kan identifiera sig med karaktärerna i böckerna. Vårt syfte var inte att ge ett konkret och generellt svar på hur mångkultur skildras utan hur den kan skildras.

Bilderböcker kan ibland uppfattas som skrämmande och inte lämpliga för barn enligt den vuxne högläsaren. Med kunskap hos pedagoger om berättelsers dubbla tilltal och olika tolkningsnivåer skulle dessa skildringar kunna te sig mindre skrämmande och i stället stimulera till givande samtal med barngrupper. Uppsatsen är en narratologisk studie av tre valda bilderböcker av Pija Lindenbaum. Syftet med studien är att studera hur Lindenbaum skildrar barns inre tankar och handlingar. Vilka grepp använder Lindenbaum för att beskriva barns inre värld? Hur skildras barn och vuxna i böckerna? På vilket sätt får böckerna ett barnperspektiv? Analysen beskriver hur Lindenbaum skildrar barnets inre värld genom att huvudpersonen i berättelsen bearbetar känslor och tankar i en fantasivärld, lekvärld, och i en realistisk värld.

AbstractThe aim of this study is to investigate how a picture book for children is transformed into an easy-to-read version for children who have just started reading. I examine two versions of Emil of Lönneberga. One of the books is the orginal picture book of Emil in Lönneberga and was written by Astrid Lindgren (1963), while the other is an easy-toreadversion of the book, as adapted by the author Helena Renvall (1977). I have conducted a comparative study as a text and picture analysis of the material, with the focus on the adaptation of the original story. The adaptation in this case is a revision intended to make the story easier to read and more accessible to today?s children.

Syftet med denna studie är att analysera och söka förståelse för hur genus framträder i Bilderboken i både text och bild. Vårt syfte är även att föra en diskussion med pedagoger om deras yttranden och tankar kring genus i Bilderboken. Våra frågeställningar i studien blir därför: Hur framträder genus i Bilderboken? Vilka tankar uttrycker pedagoger i förskolan om genus och genus i Bilderboken? Hur yttrar sig pedagoger i förskolan om Bilderboken i förhållande till det formulerade uppdraget om genus i Lpfö 98? Utifrån våra frågeställningar har vi valt att analysera sex bilderböcker i både text och bild, samt intervjuat fyra verksamma förskollärare som arbetar på en förskola i Malmö. Tidigare forskning som vi har använt oss av då vi har fördjupat oss i vårt problemområde är genus, genus i Bilderboken och genus i förskolan.
