The purpose of this research is to survey and describe some science teachers? conceptions of which assessment criteria they use at the marking process. Questions which are relevant for this research are the following: 1. Which assessment methods form the basis for science teachers? marking process? 2.

The purpose of this study was to explore experiences of the process of developing a homosexual identity during childhood. We wanted to examine the experiences, feelings and thoughts that young adults, identifying themselves as homosexuals, had growing up in Sweden.For the study a qualitative method was used and nine interviews were made with young adults in the ages of 18 - 30. They answered our questions about their process of developing a homosexual identity, about their friends, family and school and about the society in general. We analysed the material from the interviews using the theory of the coming-out-process as presented by mainly MÃ¥nsson and Hilte (1990).The main result from the study was that there were some difficulties for our respondents to become aware of their homosexuality and reveal their homosexuality to others. Most of our respondents experienced anxiety and/or fear as they were becoming aware of their sexuality but did become conscious about their homosexuality and accepted it before turning 21 years old.

Preschool has a long tradition of using picture books, both as entertainment and as a resource for educational activities. In science there are two main application areas. The first one is science concepts and the second is to teach basic science process skills. These skills, observing, communicating, inferring, classifying, measuring and predicting reflects the methods used by scientists. Picture books potential to put science concepts and activities that promote the use of science process skills in a meaningful context, recommends using picture books for this purpose.

Problem solving is a big part of design, however a lot of emphasis is put on creativity in research related to the effects of stress. Research has shown that the amount of stress we feel affects idea generation. Stress may also affect the ability to solve problems, however the researchers don?t seem to agree about what the effect of stress actually does.The study was made through experimental sessions where the respondents were asked to solve 4 matchstick puzzles of similar difficulty. Depending on their outcome they experienced more or less stress.

RIB är ett verktyg som kan användas vidverksamhet med riskhantering, förebyggande av olyckor, utbildning, för tillsyn, planering och vid genomförande av räddningstjänstinsatser. Meningen är att RIB ska kunna användas av personer som endast har en grundläggande datorvana utan att dessa ska behöva genomgå en omfattande utbildning i hur programmet fungerar.Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att identifiera brister i gränssnitt och struktur i RIB utan inblandning av Räddningsverkets egna värderingar och förutfattade meningar.Arbetet inleddes med teoriinhämtning varefter empiriska studier följde i form av genomgång av en marknadsanalys, intervjuer med användare samt observation av användare. Under arbetets gång utformades också en utvärderingsmodell för användartest, denna låg till grund för ett utfört användbarhetstest.Arbetet har resulterat i en diskussion dör förändringar i RIB föreslås. Del föreslås förändringar i den övergripande strukturen för att göra RIB mer konsekvent i dess utformning och därigenom göra det lättare för användaren att överblicka programmet. Dels föreslås förändringar i de olika delar som RIB består av som är tänkta att göra det enklare för användaren att överblicka all information i en akut situation..

Utvecklingen av datorer och deras förmåga ökar klyftan mellan datorer och skapar en stor mångfald av hårdvarutillgänglighet. Kapaciteten som datorer besitter varierar kraftigt och därmed även förmågan att hantera komplexa applikationer. Moderna applikationer erbju-der inställningar som användare kan anpassa för datorn, något som kräver att användaren har tillräcklig kunskap för att förstå inställningarnas e ekt. Att välja ut de optimala in-ställningarna för datorn är en process som är både svår och tidskrävande. Detta arbete granskar hur ett dynamiskt adaptivt system automatiskt kan anpassa inställningarna för applikationen medan den kör, utan manuell extern inverkan.

ABB I-R Waterjet Systems combines the robotics and motion expertise of ABB Flexible Automation with high-pressure intensifier/pumping technology from Ingersoll-Rand to provide and continue to develop innovative waterjet cutting systems for global markets. The purpose of this assignment is to develop a process water purifier. The purifier should be applicable as an option to ABB I-R?s production cell Cutting-Box. At first hand the process water should be purified well enough to let out in the municipal sewage system, but the ultimate solution is purifying the process water to the range that recycling is possible. When investigating the different principle of purifying water, a research of different products and their manufactories was done. These different products were compared and the principle of filtration was the most applicable, as most of the products were designed for far larger applications. As the process water contains quite large amount of particles, it is necessary to perform the filtration in different steps. The process water purifier is therefore composed of a module of coarse filtration and one of micro filtration. In the module of coarse filtration the mainly amount of fibres and particles are eliminated. They are kept back in the container unit with the larger fragments and dumped with these when the container is emptied. In the module of micro filtration the filtration is performed in two steps. In the first step particles larger than 50?m are eliminated, in the second step the micro filter is setting the range of purifying, in this case 10?m.

The aim of the study is to examine how the executive leadership and the decision-making process are shaped by the leadership environment in a transition democracy as Venezuela. The questions I intend to answer are: What kind of leadership environment surrounds the leadership and what kind of consequences does it have on the leadership and the decision-making process in Venezuela? To answer my questions I will use the literature: Political Leadership in Liberal Democracies (Elgie, Robert 1995, London: Macmillian), together with the method ?The cultural determinist school of history? by Tomas Spencer, later reproduced by Kellerman. The leadership environment provides unique opportunities for a leader to gain control over the decision-making process. Institutional structures and the needs of the society are major parts in determining how the political leadership is exercised.

During the 19-century a global warming has been observed, which includes increases in global air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of ice and snow, and rising global sea level. There is a clear connection between emissions of greenhouse gases caused by the human and the increase in temperature. Climatic changes caused by global warming can be stopped trough decreased emission of fossil fuels, for example by an increased use of biogas. Biogas is a renewable energy source which is produced through anaerobic (oxygen free) digestion of organic material. The gas is a mixture of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) and can be among others used as fuel in vehicles.

Return handling is often regarded as a slow and complex process. Studies have shown that it is not unusual for a return to cost up to nine times as much as a standard outbound delivery. An efficient return handling process is therefore essential to all competitive companies dealing with logistics. This report investigates, analyzes and gives suggestions on development with the purpose to improve the return handling process at LensLogistics AB in Kista, north of Stockholm, Sweden. The study has been conducted from a deliberately practical point of view in order to suggest improvement suggestions possible to implement and thereby change the entire return handling process.

Samhällsdebatten om de nedslående resultaten som redovisats i PIRLS 2011 visar att läsförståelseundervisningen i Sverige inte ger de resultat som förväntas. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var undersöka vilken betydelse faktatexters struktur har för läsförståelsen hos elever i årskurs 4-6. Inledningsvis redogörs för innehållet i skolans styrdokument som rör läsförståelse samt Skolverkets analyser av resultatmätningar. Dessutom redovisas Skolverkets rapporter och annan pedagogisk litteratur i frågan om vikten av att alla lärare undervisar i läsförståelse oavsett ämne. Metoden som använts är en systematisk litteraturstudie där sökmetoder och urval redovisas.
